Prophetic Evangelism

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. Ephesians 2:8,9
This powerful message will open new understanding about your salvation. Most people believe that salvation and being born again are the exact same thing. After years of study and asking many questions I finally began to understand. For example, in Ephesians 2:8,9 the scriptures read, For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of WORKS, lest anyone should boast. However reading from Philippians 2:12 there seems to be a contradiction. Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, WORK out your own salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.
In the first passage we see that the work of salvation is a gift of God and not of works; however, in Philippians we are commanded to work out our own salvation. So what gives here? The bottom line is there is much more to salvation and evangelizing the lost than many believe. We cannot have eternal life, saved from eternal damnation, without first being born again. Many born again Christians are suffering from addictions, diseases, broken marriages and the list goes on. Where is their salvation? There is much more to learn about salvation and evangelism.
