Prophetic Power
He who receives you receives Me, and he who receives Me receives Him who sent me. He who receives a prophet in the name of a Prophet shall receive a prophet's reward. Matthew 10:40-41
Lesson five, Prophetic Power, of the School of Prophetic Knowledge helps us understand why we need the power of the prophetic today. With the dark side getting darker the light of Christ and His power should be greater. From calling fire down from heaven to casting out demons no doubt the fight is on. Darkness against the Light and you and I stand in the middle.
A portion of this godly power comes from the anointing, another part from the calling. Persecution of the Saints unleashes this power of God revealing His presence and eternal existence. However, for the most part this power is primarily demonstrated through the Apostles and Prophets of today. Although, it is not limited to the ascension gift ministries. (ref. Eph. 4:11) Many times the Holy Spirit has loosed His power through the hands of the common lay person.
I have found this Prophetic Power to come not when I wanted it to but rather when I pleaded for God’s mercy. You can understand why Jesus pleaded to the Father to forgive those who crucified Him for they knew not what they where doing. None the less, vengeance truly belongs to God and He will repay. The next time someone does you harm let God deal with them, instead of yourself, you will find God can be brutal in His chastening.
