Prophetic Visions
Then the Spirit took me up and brought me in a vision by the Spirit of God... And the vision that I had seen went up from me. So I spoke to those in captivity of all the things the Lord had shown. Ezekiel 11:24,25
Lesson Eight, Prophetic Visions, is our DVD teaching for this month (Sept, 2004). Many Christians have had visions without the knowledge that they have encountered one. However, when the vision was manifested they then knew something very powerful had happened to them.
Just yesterday, while at the church, our sound man came into the building. He had just returned from working in the Oklahoma City area. While at work one of the men, who was obviously not a Christian, started bad mouthing Christians. Well, the conversation turned to the topic of prophetic encounters in the church. This conversation sparked the heathen to tell about a vision he had one year prior to the Columbine tragedy. The heathen was driving with another man to work the day of the shooting. While listening to the radio broadcast the announcer began the gruesome task of explaining what had happened that day in Colorado. The heathen spoke up and said, “I can’t believe this is happening all over again”. The fellow worker replied, “What do mean happening again; this is the first time anything like this has happened”? That is when the chills began to roll up the heathens body. He reported to have felt very weird and a little scared.
