Prophetic Gifts
Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father John 14:12
Lesson Ten, Prophetic Gifts, teaching DVD for this month. Spiritual gifts are not given by God and then later taken away. The gifts and calling of God are irrevocable. (Romans 11:29). This verse of scripture clearly indicates that when the Holy Spirit has imparted in you a spiritual gift it cannot be removed. However, we do know that if a person who has such a gift does not give glory to God for the gift or misuses the gift God will take his or her life.
Most Christians have a hard time believing that the gifts of the Holy Spirit are for us today. Perhaps they do not believe that Jesus is now with the His Father either? For Jesus said; Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. (John 12:14) Therefore, this would clarify why we do not see the gifts of the Holy Spirit more in action today.
