Many ministers have taught on the Holy Spirit and the gifts of the Spirit. However, most have NOT shared biblically how to obtain one or more of the spiritual gifts from the Holy Spirit.
Most Christians can receive the teachings of laying on of hands to receive your healing from the Holy Spirit. Some can receive the teachings of baptism of the Holy Spirit by the laying on of hands. Few receive the teachings on the laying on of hands and prophecy to obtain your spiritual gift. However, the bible prescribes not only the method for receiving the impartation but gives us factual events from the Prophets. Elijah gave a word to Elisha and the prophetic mantel was passed on with a double portion. Samuel anointed David and prophesied that he would become King.
We see that in our generation the gifts have been passed from one minister to another. Smith Wigglesworth passed the gift to Dr. Lester Summerall and he to Rod Parsley.
