Prophetic Rewards
For whoever give you a cup of water to drink in My name, because you belong to Christ, assuredly, I say to you, he will by no means lose his reward. Mark 9:41
There truly is a reward for those who receive and honor God’s anointed ministers. Scripture indicates we should give double honor to those who minister and labor in word and doctrine. (ref. I Timothy 5:17) Many other scriptures command a certain amount of respect and reverence toward those who are doing God’s work.
On the other side of the coin those who turn against God’s anointed suffer the consequence. Jesus says, “He who receives you receives Me.” Therefore, if they reject any of His ministers they are rejecting Christ Jesus. I do not know about you but I would NOT want to be in the shoes of one who has come against one of God’s anointed. Even David before he was King of Judah knew better than to come against Saul who was the King. David had opportunity but feared what God would do to him if he brought harm to King Saul. “Touch not My anointed ones, and do My prophets no harm.” (ref. Psalm 105:15) So what about today? What would God do to someone if they were to bring harm against one of His anointed? I have witnessed first hand what can happen when God’s anointed knock the dust from their shoes. Find out!
