When God Can't Be Found
When searching for God and His answers to our problems He can sometimes be very hard to find. ‘Hide and seek’ seems to be His favorite game. But it is not a fun game to play when troubles are surrounding you and you need revelation NOW! It is during these times that we need to stop being led by our emotions and get a grip on our thoughts. As our mind plays the ‘what if’ game it shifts to these familiar thoughts; what are people going to say, what if it doesn’t work out, what if the money isn’t there on time? Get a hold yourself and start trusting Him. Knowing that it is harder to hear God for yourself than for others I have discovered a short cut to obtaining solid answers with out hearing His voice.
Maybe you recall the story of Gideon and his army? If not, stop here and read Judges 6:37-40. You will see that Gideon found a way to find out God’s will during a very fearful time in his life. Not only did Gideon discover another way to find God but he had the common sense to test his new found method before stepping out in faith. We can all learn from Gideon’s experience for it still works in our time. However, do not be surprised by the answer God gives you. I have discovered far too often that many people keep testing God. It is not wise to try and trick Him into giving you the answer you want. It is important to understand that if you refuse to accept His answer then you probably will not hear from Him at all for a long, long time.
This months DVD teaching will help you find answers to the hard questions in life. It is not a quick fix but will give you another approach in playing the game of ‘hide and seek’ with the Master. Remember, all He really wants is a personal relationship with you, for He loves you and wants to help YOU!
