Greedy Monkeys Part III

Christians should never fall victim to a con or scam artist. The major ingredient a scam artist must find in his victim is greed. It is their greed that the con will use to entice his prey. There is a modern day proverb that holds a lot of truth; “If it sounds too good to be true then it probably is.”

Over the past couple of years a number of our partners have asked about a certain email that they have received about how to obtain a large sum of money. The email messages vary in wording and the names of the principals change but the amount of money that is involved is in the millions. These emails are a scam offering a percentage of the millions of dollars offered to any American citizen who can help them get the funds into the United States. One of our partners followed through the process and became very fearful of these foreign representatives. When his chance came to get away he ran out of the restaurant where he meet with the two cons.

The Book of Proverbs is a book of wisdom and it is a good idea to read one of the thirty-one chapters each day. A good way to keep up with your reading of Proverbs is to read the chapter that matches each days date. King Solomon is the principal author of this book of wisdom and he was the richest man ever. We can obtain a portion of his godly wisdom by reading from this book of the Bible.

A man with an evil eye hastens after riches, And does not consider that poverty will come upon him. Proverbs 28:22

As the times get financially tougher people are most apt to fall for a con. It is not our Lord’s desire that anyone should fall victim to a scam. God’s way is for you to know prophetically long before you are confronted by the greedy monkey.
