Where Is My God
Has there ever been a time in your life when you could not find God? Is your life coming apart at the seams? Does chaos appear to be the order of the day?…..How could God allow these things to happen? Jesus said to pray this way:
And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen. Matthew 6:13
Temptation is not just having a lustful thought or meditating on some sociably unacceptable act. Temptation begins as a thought turning into a curse if we come into agreement with that thought.
And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” Matthew 16:19
Jesus revealed to Peter that he had the power to manifest this thought into existence. Shortly after Peter heard from heaven we see in verses 22 & 23 that Peter heard from Satan. The point is that we can have a thought, voice or image come to us and we are given the power to accept, agree or bind it into our lives.
Many times during a week we have thoughts that come from the spirit of fear, which is not of God. This spirit can TEMP us to believe if we agree with whatever it portrays. We have the power to rebuke that thought, voice, image or we can come into agreement with it and receive it’s curse. It does matter what we think or meditate upon; for what we think will often times determine what kind of life we will lead. Choose to accept only thoughts that are of truth, noble, just, pure, lovely, good report, virtue and praiseworthy. (ref. Philippians 4:8).
The next time the evil one comes to you with a bad report, whether it be in the form of a dream, thought, or voice DO NOT meditate upon it. Resist the devil and he will flee. (ref. James 4:7)
