Prophetic Fire

For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God? 1 Peter 4:17

There is a reason why we all are going through our present trials and tribulations. The judgment begins with God’s people before the heathens experience His purging. It has always been done in this manner. Those of you who recall the late 70s’ and 80’s know times were hard for everyone. However, it was during this time that we witnessed one of the greatest out pouring of the Holy Spirit. Business men and women around the world were coming into the Kingdom of God and baptized in the Holy Ghost.

And even now the ax is laid to the root of the trees. Therefore every tree which does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Matthew 3:10

The trees represent worldly icons of this present age. There are so many idols that stand between God and His people. We are a society that demands to be entertained at all times. Even our worship services have become centers for Christian entertainment. Large gatherings of people worshipping God is a good thing as long as HE is the reason for the gathering.

He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. 12 His winnowing fan is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clean out His threshing floor, and gather His wheat into the barn; but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.” Matthew 3:11b-12

This cleansing process is necessary preparing us for the next great move of the Holy Spirit. He will adjust our focus and prepare our hearts to be filled and overflowing into this lost world. Our persecution is coming from the terrorists of today. They are the chaff being harvested for the furnace of affliction.

Yet if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him NOT be ashamed, but let him glorify God in this matter.
1 Peter 4:16
