Heaven, Our Final Destiny

How many infallible proofs we have that there is a Heaven and that we are going there someday. Just as sure as we’re in Christ, God shall bring those with Him who are keeping Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

So many people try to work themselves into Heaven. Many people try to earn merits like Boy Scouts in order to get into heaven. God doesn’t count merit badges! There is nothing you could do, and no way to work yourself through the gates of Heaven; you must simply believe in Him and accept Him by faith. There He hangs on the cross. You’ll never have to pay for your sins. His blood shed upon that lonely hill called Calvary has already paid the price.

God judged your sins in Him. God judged Him, not you; Jesus took your place. You may have been guilty, alienated from God, without hope, without mercy, carried away with dumb idols, but Christ paid your price.

You and I have been saved; we need not turn back to our old sinful ways. To go back to the Cross tracking His blood under our feet, to take back the sins from which He freed us is not only foolish but is disrespectful to our Lord, our Savior.

But God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. Gal. 6:14
