People say that when you get to heaven, you can ask Jesus for the answers to spiritual questions. But why would we need to wait until then? Wouldn’t it be more helpful to us if we had the answers to these questions here on earth? We need answers to questions now! I began to pray and to seek God for the answers. Scripture says “My sheep knows my voice.” so we ought to know the answers. We can have the answers to spiritual question but many have difficulty with things which are not written in scripture. It is hard unless you receive your own revelation and unless you hear from God.

Have you ever tried to convince someone that what they experienced really didn’t happen? “Oh no, you didn’t get born again. It was just an emotional thing.” Oh yeah, right! It is like trying to convince a believer that when they die they will not go to heaven.

This life is only a blink of an eye compared to eternity. We have a difficult time understanding the concept of eternity where there is no beginning and no end. And what we do on earth will determine our position in heaven. It may be fine to polish the pearl gates of heaven but wouldn’t you rather have a higher position closer to Jesus especially since we are talking about forever? One thing is true that whatever you do for Jesus in this life will determine where you will sit in eternity. Whatever He ask you to do will make a difference in where you spend eternity. When you consider heaven and eternity, all of the problems of this life seem to fade away. It is just not so important anymore.

Many people need answers to their situation and their problems or are concerned about their children and their future. They pray and pray to God but it may be the time for them to let go and let God handle it. We should be a people who are unmoved by what happens in the world. Yet we find ourselves being sucked into all the worries and troubles of this world. If something happens then of course we need to understand why it happened. Perhaps we were in the wrong place at the wrong time. All of the things in life builds up tension and pressure. But it is not your problem! It is God’s problem. Watch what God will do in your lives. God will begin to move certain people in certain situations and put you in a place where you will reap the harvest without doing anything! This is what God really wants from us. The biggest problem with mankind is that we want to be in control. We want to control God, our circumstances, our lives. It is in our nature which we need to break because if you let God take control, everything has a way of working out. Have you ever been in the vein or spout of God’s glory where everything just falls into place?

My brother-in-law, Wes, was the praise and worship leader when his pastor decided to move to another state. The pastor wanted Wes to take over as pastor of the church. Wes did not want to do that because his father had been a pastor. He did not want to be a pastor and stated that he never wanted to be one. However, when Wes finally surrendered and accepted the position, the following day the pastor received an offer for his house which he had been trying to sell for over one year. Up to that point, Wes was in business with his brother buying and fixing up homes to sell but the homes were not selling. They tried everything they knew to sell the properties. They put up banners and got the services of different Realtors but nothing happened. Within a few weeks of accepting the pastor position, not only did the Pastor’s home receive an offer but the homes which were heavy financial burdens to the brothers were also sold. Now Wes is a changed person. He is now doing the very thing he fought not to do but if it is in God’s will the devil cannot touch you.
