Sanctified Through Obedience

Part 1 - The Days of Cain and Abel

The Lord is beginning to open up some new revelations that is a stronger message than what we have been receiving for some time. The Lord is being more ferment in his desires for his people to walk according to what he desires us to walk in. He wants us to begin to find the answers from him directly for each and everyone of our lives. It is his desire that we may also find what his decisions are in what is happening world wide.

As we all know, we are sitting on the brink of war. It is evident that is what we will find ourselves into before too long, probably before the year is out. I have been spending a lot of time seeking the Lord on this matter. I want to know how long it is going to be now, what are the reasons for it, what is really happening here and why do we need to do this. I am not against our country in any matter. In fact, two of the men who travel with me when I minister are honorable veterans. One was in special forces but both serve God today because it is not about patriotism but it is about obedience to our Lord, Jesus Christ. There are a lot of things that we know that our leaders have done in decades and centuries past that we look back on now and wonder why we did it. We are living in a time where we need to know why we are going to war before we get into it, even if we are not hearing what is being said behind closed doors. We are only hearing what the media desires us hear or what the media has been required to say. It almost sounds like propaganda. But in essence, what does the scripture say?

“Where do wars and fights come from among you? Do they not come from your desires for pleasure that war in your members? You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. Yet you do not have because you do not ask. You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures.” James 4:1-3

This has to do with something that deals with someone’s treasures. Someone’s possessions have been taken and someone wants them back. It is in reference to the oil fields of Iraq. The bottom line is that there are people who are involved in the oil industry who wants that oil back. It also has to do with attempts of assassination of a previous president who happens to be the father of the president today. But whose blood has to be shed for this? For this possession, this wealth that was stolen and taken away by a country that we supported to fight another country. I believe if our country does not turn to God and start doing the things of God, we will suffer the consequences like any other nation. We are not immune. We see a people who have come out of the very loins of Cain who now stand so loyal to their followers and to their god, Allah, that they will lay down their lives for their cause. We are the ones of Abel who find ourselves as timid as Abel. He did not fight his brother. Abel simply was the one loved by God who was slaughtered by his brother because God did not accept the offering of Cain but accepted the offering of Abel.

Where does that leave us as Christians? War has been identified and the only purpose of war is for personal pleasure, personal gain. Lives to be shed for those who would obtain more material things. Sad but it is always doomed. We are coming to a place in time in our generation that we are seeing a line being drawn clearly. It is now a day of Cain and Abel. It is important that you know this because we are walking into a place now that it is paramount in your personal life that you know, without a shadow of a doubt, who you are in Jesus Christ.
