Preaching About Your Spiritual Gift

There is a "vein" that you need in order to flow in the body of Christ so that your gift works 100% of the time. When you preach about hearing God, your listeners will hear God. If you preach about healing, they will be healed. And if you preach about demons, guess what? They will experience demons.

I preach on hearing God so that His people will start recognizing His voice. It does not matter how long you have been a Christian. You can be present in the natural but not yet arrived spiritually. You do not need to be a biblical scholar to be able to move in the Holy Spirit. Some of the most anointed people are those who cannot read or write. God chooses the foolish. He does not choose the noble or the wise but the willing, the yielded.

For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called. But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, that no flesh should glory in His presence. 1 Corinthians 1:26-29

Getting Your Prayers Answered

We must pray, hear and the hard part is to obey. The Bible shows us that obedience always pays. God has never chasten, beat or condemned anyone for obeying Him. When you obey God, the blessings will come and overtake you. You will not be able to out run your blessings or hide from them. They will seek you out and find you. Then why do we spend so much time crying out for blessings? There is something missing in the "formula" of Christianity. There is something missing on how to get your prayers answered. The answer is not in a formula but rather in the relationship.

For there is nothing hidden which will not be revealed, nor has anything been kept secret but that it should come to light. If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear." Then He said to them, "Take heed what you hear. With the same measure you use, it will be measured to you; and to you who hear, more will be given. Mark 4:22-24

Who is Your Teacher and Father

People today are looking for a man to follow. Many people will ask, "Who is your mentor? Who is your spiritual father?" My mentor is the Holy Spirit. My father is Father God. Still they ask, "Who is your teacher." Scripture says call no man on earth your teacher or your father for there is only one and He is in heaven. The body of Christ cannot unify and work as one body until it acknowledges one headship over the church, Jesus Christ.

Jesus said, "Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven. And do not be called teachers; for One is your Teacher, the Christ." Matthew 23:9-10

ENCOUNTERING ANGELS

When Peter was in prison, the congregation was praying for his safe return. An angel went to the prison and kicked Peter to wake him up. When Peter asked who kicked him, the angel told him to get his things and led him out of prison. Peter came to the house where they were praying for him and knocked on the door. A girl peeped out and saw Peter but did not let him in when she went to tell the others. When she revealed to the others who was at the door, they replied that it could not be Peter at the door. They told her that it must be his angel instead.

An encounter with the angelic host can set you free.

Now behold, an angel of the Lord stood by him, and a light shone in the prison; and he struck Peter on the side and raised him up, saying, "Arise quickly!" And his chains fell off his hands. Then the angel said to him, "Gird yourself and tie on your sandals"; and so he did. And he said to him, "Put on your garment and follow me." Acts 12:7,8

Angels on Your Side

We need to be aware of how Jesus moved and walked. The things Jesus did were done according to the will of the Father. He said, "I do nothing of my own authority. I speak what I hear the Father say." This is the Christian way, Jesus is the example for all Christians.

Many times Jesus would pray to find out what the Father had to say. When Jesus prayed angels would ascend and descend upon him giving Him instructions from heaven above. "Thy will be on earth as it is in heaven." That means we need to find out first from heaven what needs to be done. And when you find out what it is that you are to do, nothing can stop you. Nothing!

For the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He will reward each according to his works. Assuredly, I say to you, there are some standing here who shall not taste death till they see the Son of Man coming in His kingdom. Matthew 16:27,28

Who's Voice Will You Follow

It is a lot easier to believe what the devil says than what God says. If the electrical company says they are going to turn off the electricity because we can't pay the bill, we believe it right away. In fact, any bad report we believe right away. But let God say something and there are many doubts. It is almost foreign to us to hear God's voice. Hearing Him is something we need to understand and accept as a normal and everyday occurrence. We need to be in a strong relationship with God so that we do not miss Him. He speaks so gently, so smooth, so light that His voice sometimes is just a whisper. If you are caught up in your own thoughts and emotions, you will miss God. You will go on your own way as if He never existed.

Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life. Most assuredly, I say to you, the hour is coming, and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God; and those who hear will live. John 5:24,25

Dull of Hearing

People will not believe except they see signs and wonders. Jesus said, "The works that I do, you shall do greater." Jesus was a miracle worker. How is it possible to do greater works then Jesus? It is because he goes to the Father and intercedes for the church. He sends the Holy Spirit to our spirit the commandants, the commissions, the things we are to do. The equations, the answers to all of our troubles are right there in front of us, living within us. If you have Christ in you, who is all-knowing, who has conquered heaven and hell and lives within you, then you have all the answers to all of your troubles.

For the hearts of this people have grown dull. Their ears are hard of hearing, And their eyes they have closed, Lest they should see with their yes and hear with their ears, Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn, So that I should heal them." Acts 28:27

The Church Should Have More Than Enough, For All of US!

Most of you do not bring your turtle doves, oxen or lamb to be sacrificed; therefore, we know that God has made other provisions for us to provide for ourselves. There is a new concept of the storehouse. For the Lord said, “Bring your tithes to the storehouse and prove me to see if I will not open the windows of Heaven and pour out a blessing on you, such you will not be able to contain.” We have heard that many times as men preach very heartily to induce you to give to the church for the “spendhouse” not the storehouse. That is what the church has become; they spend the tithes rather than store the tithes. That is why God said, “Bring it in to the storehouse and prove me that there will not be enough.” But for whom does he say there will be enough, the preacher or the people? It has always been for the people. Think about it. If everybody brought an ox today to be sacrificed, how much of those oxen do you think the priest would eat? In another week, people will be bringing another one.

The old church was not run by gluttons. They kept much of the livestock given them and let it reproduce. They did not eat all the grain they received; they sewed a lot of that grain back into the ground to replant. They multiplied the tithes. They did not consume the tithes like we do today. When the tithes are brought into the church, immediately the majority of the funds will be spent right back out into the world. We are eating our planting seed. A wise farmer does not eat all his seed; otherwise, he has nothing to replant for the next year. We have been eating the seed that is supposed to be in the storehouse so there will be more than enough for all of us!

Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and try Me now in this," says the LORD of hosts, "If I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it. Malachi 3:10

God Will Get Your Attention

Nations and men are much alike. They seldom appeal to God unless they are getting whipped.

"My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord, Nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him; For whom the Lord loves He chastens, And scourges every son whom He receives." Hebrews 12:5b,6

Prophesying Strength into the Body of Christ

Whenever God gives us a cross to bear, it is a prophecy that He will also give us strength.

Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near. Revelation 1:3

Are Men and Women Equal?

Men and women are equal before God; equally sinners and equally saved. Given this profound and ultimate equality, further debate seems rather unnecessary.

For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise. Galatians 3:26-29

Who is Telling the Truth?

Agnosticism doubts truth. Rationalism questions truth. Infidelity scoffs at truth. Logic dissects truth. Education searches for truth. But Jesus said, "I am the Truth."

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." John 14:6

Something Good is Coming Your Way

The brook would lose its song if you removed the rocks.

My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. 4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. James 1:2-4

It's Easy to be Deceived During Hard Times

The aim of divorce is freedom. But freedom carries a price tag. The question is, "Can you afford it?"

“Have you not read that He who made them at the beginning ‘made them male and female,’ and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’ ? So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.” Matthew 19:4-6
