“But Jesus knew their thoughts, and said to them: ‘Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand.'”

Before anyone goes into the ministry don’t you think that they should first know how to hear the voice of God? I mean if you go to work for someone wouldn’t you know your boss and what he expects of you. Being that there is only One God don’t you think that everyone who works for Him should have the same understanding of what He expects of His ministers and how they are to take care of His people? I’m not saying that He is creating clones and all personalities should be the same. But I am saying they should all know the Father’s heart and what He desires for each one of His own. Therefore, would you agree that the very first thing that every minister should know before they begin to start up their ministry is the voice of God? In order to properly start your ministry you should have the calling from God on your life and know what it is He is calling you to do. How are you going to do this if you cannot hear His voice?
“If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.”
1 Peter 4:11
The fact is it’s not enough to be called of God you have to know what you are called to do and be thoroughly equipped by the Holy Spirit; fulfilling that which you proclaim to be anointed to do for His people. Once you have been tried through the refiners fire and all your impurities have been purged then you are ready to be anointed with the gift of the Holy Spirit. It is very important to know what you are called to preach and do in the name of Jesus; however, you are not completely established in your ministry until you have learned what and how to use the spiritual gift(s) God has imparted unto you.

Romans 1:11
During the process of preparing to minister in the powerful and most honorable name of Jesus he or she must go through many different experiences in life that frankly are not easy. Some have referred to this process as “boot camp”. The process is necessary, for all the Holy Spirit takes you through has multiple purposes for preparing you for the work of the Lord. Not everyone who starts on this journey graduates to the place of acceptance. For various reasons, some will fall short of completing the rigorous journey.

Once you are assured of your calling and the message of Christ has been burned into your heart and soul, you know who you are and what you are called to do. After receiving the impartation of the spiritual gift or gifts of the Holy Spirit and you have perfected the use of these supernatural powers you are ready to begin ministering. The next stage of your ministerial journey is probably the most difficult, especially since so many things have changed in the world making it rather difficult to navigate successfully.
Technologies Tangled Web
In the past decade or longer it has become a very steep learning curve in how to get your message out to the people, letting them know what is on your heart and that you are there to help them get through this life with Christ. Very few doors are open to those who have recently been called of God into the ministry proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Back in “The Day”
When I started this ministry, Prophetic Ministries Today, there were not as many challenges creating burdens upon ministry as there are today. You did not need to know all the technology that is required in order to get your message out to the public like in this new wilderness of digital evangelism. With the old school methods of my younger days you could get on a radio station for as little as $30.00 per week and preach your message. You could write a newsletter and have it printed for $.05 a page, stamps were $.22, and mailing lists were easy to come by for a price of around $8.00 per thousand with current names and addresses. It was much easier to start up your ministry back in the day before the Internet came on the scene; that is when everything began to change.
Then Came the Internet
To be on top of things the first thing you needed to do was purchase a computer. Back then they were far more expensive and did little compared to what they can do today. Then to stay up with all the other ministries you had to get a website for your ministry. Even back then the cost for having someone build your website required some high cotton, in other words lots of money. It wasn’t long until streaming video was the craze, so we purchased all the equipment to begin placing streaming video on our website. Looking back it is rather funny to think that someone could get excited about a video the size of a postage stamp jerking back and forth at dialup speed. We really did think we were cutting edge in 1996 having videos play on our website.
Today It’s Much Harder

Thanks for this message today. This is something that I have pondered about for many years. Unfortunately, the church ignores this scripture (1 Corinthians 12:28″And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues.”) but I have been praying for a restoration of these things in the church since God has not changed anything since He revealed it to Paul for the early church.
Thanks again for reminding us that God is the same yesterday, today and forever. I got your audio word recently and it really spoke to my heart. A young woman prophesied the same thing that you spoke to me as I was entering to go to a meeting one night at church. It really made me take a step back and perk up my ears about the things you said to me. Just a little feedback and thanks for your ministry.

Hi my name is Mother Eison,
I have known Pastor Kent for over ten years. He came to a church I use to belong to and did a prophecy over me. That I would heal people with problems with their legs and feet and by the grace of God I have did just that. In 2005 the job I was at down sized and I was let go. I received another prophecy 2006 about working in collections. I went to school for medical coding and billing. Pastor Kent said in the prophecy that I had my certificate which is true and no place to use it true again. I did this in order to start my own business but without the experience the hospital or clinic would not hire me. I’m 71 years young and I’m Busting out of this.
