Records of Angels are littered throughout the Old Testament, and their presence and interactions with Mankind not only changed the course of history, but set the precedent for how we can expect them to aid us in our Modern Era.

One of the most dramatically intense moments in Biblical history was when Abraham was about to sacrifice his son Isaac, only to be stopped at the last moment by the Angel of the Lord, who told Abraham that G3D had seen his faithfulness and to instead offer up the ram caught in the thicket by its horns (Genesis 22: 10-13).

After Jacob had worked twenty years for his father-in-law, (fourteen years for his two wives, and six for his flocks of sheep), the Angel of the Lord spoke to Jacob in a dream, telling him that G3D had seen how Laban had financially taken advantage of him. The Angel also warned Jacob that it was time that he gather his family together and begin to head back to his father Isaac’s country. (Genesis 31:11-13)

During the Israelites’ march out of Egypt, the Angel of the Lord not only went before their camp as a pillar of cloud during the day to lead them, but it served as a wall of cloud and darkness in their rear flanks to keep the Egyptians from being able to approach them. During the night, the angel led the Israelites as a pillar by fire, guiding their way with its light, but also serving as a defensive wall against the military chariots that followed. (Exodus 14:19-20)

The Angel of the Lord was sent out before the Israelites to clear out a path for them in the Promised Land. The Canaanites, Amorites, Perizzites, the Hivites, and Jebusites, would all be purged before they arrived and driven out. (Exodus 33:2)

Prophet Isaiah cried out to Heaven when the King of the Assyria, tried to besiege Jerusalem. G3D answered by sending His Angel which cut off all the might men of valor, the leaders and captain in the enemy camp. After the staggering military defeat, Sennacherib, the Assyrian king, returned home and was assassinated while worshiping his false gods. (2 Chronicles 32:20-21)

After Elijah had challenged the false prophets of Baal and eliminated them with the sword, he received a message from Queen Jezebel that she planned to kill him in retaliation. Prophet Elijah fled and after a day’s journey into the Wilderness, collapsed under a broom bush, and prayed for death, before falling asleep. An Angel of the Lord woke Elijah up, instructing him to get up and eat the bread that had been prepared over hot coals and to drink the jar of water beside his head. Elijah ate and drank before returning to his nap. He was awakened later and given more food and drink, being informed that he needed to nourish himself for the journey he was about to endure. After eating and drinking, Prophet Elijah had the strength to travel for forty day and nights to reach Horeb, the Mountain of G3D (1 Kings 19:1-8).

These are just a few examples of how Angels helped G3D’s People in the Old Testament.

When things felt hardest, the Angel told Abraham that G3D had been watching him remain faithful, no matter what needed to be given up. The Angel gave Abraham the resources for him to fulfill his promise to G3D. That confirmation that G3D sees your pain in times of trial can definitely help you overcome it.

When Jacob was questioning what he needed to do in life, the Angel also let him know that G3D had seen how he had been taken advantage of and would protect him from any more abuse. The Angel also told him that it was time to make the hard decision to leave after twenty years and to head back home. With an angry father-in-law behind him and a spurned brother waiting for him, Jacob had to trust that the Angel was reporting what G3D knew was best for his life and his family.

As the Israelites left Egypt, they were both led and protected by an angel during their journey. As a pillar of cloud by day, it provided them cool shade in the desert, while arranging itself as a thick cloak of darkness between the encroaching Egyptian military. At night, the pillar of cloud kept them warm and guided their way during the cold nights, and served as a terrifying wall of fire.

Had the Israelites trusted that G3D would help them overtake the giants in the Promised Land, an Angel would have cleared the major factions they would have encountered. Though they would have still needed to take back the land themselves, it would have been much less of a challenge and G3D would have been with them.

When Israel was besieged by enemies all around them, Prophet Isaiah lifted his voice to G3D who sent an Angel to completely wipe out the foreign military. Not only did their enemies perish by the Angel of the Lord, but it set into motion the assassination of the evil king by his own people while worshiping his false idols.

After Elijah eliminated the false prophets of Baal, he had to flee for his life from Queen Jezebel, into the Wilderness, where he prepared to die. An angel came and provided him with all the resources he needed to be able to rest and recover for his next journey to meet with G3D.

Angels can send us messages about G3D seeing how we are going through trials and knows that others are trying to take advantage of us and through His Angels, He sends us the resources to be able to survive the challenges, and sometimes informs us to move someplace new where His Hand will protect us. Even as we make the journey to where G3D wants us to be, His Angels will not only serve as guides for our path along the way, but they will protect us from our enemies though they may be following close.

His Angels will clear paths for us to be able to handle the challenges before us as long as we have faith in Him, and even when we are surrounded by our enemies on all sides, we must first turn our Faith to Him and He can send His Angels to cut down our enemies and their rulers. Even when our enemies seem to be winning and fast approaching, His Angels will provide us with whatever physical and spiritual needs we have to be able to accomplish His Will.

Angels constantly helped the people in the Old Testament accomplish whatever it was that G3D asked them to do. When we remain in His Will, He will send His Angels to give us messages and information, lead and direct us, protect us from our enemies from all sides, clear our mission’s path, cut down our enemies and their leaders, and supply us with anything we need to be obedient to Him. These amazing Agents of G3D will help us accomplish what He has commissioned you to do.

Prophetic Teaching from Holy Spirit:

“Angels are ministering for us as we operate in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. When you are slain in the spirit it can feel like someone physically pushed you down or clipped you from behind the knees. It is an Angel of the Lord that is doing the work of G3D.” …. I have noticed that some ministers demonstrate more of the gifts in their ministry than others? Why is that?

More Angels, More Spiritual Gifts:

The reason they have more angels appointed to minister for them than the other ministers is they have more spiritual gifts. When ministering you begin to recognize the different anointings coming from the various appointed angels. Knowing each angel by its anointing is a major way how to detect what gift the Holy Spirit will have you to operate in next. The presence of the ministering spirit that slays people in the Holy Ghost is different from the ministering spirit that brings the gift of healings. There are various gifts and ministry functions imparted by G3D and are appointed to different people for different purposes. One of these spiritual gifts is the gift of healings, not healing but HEALINGS; it is plural; “to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit” (1 Corinthians 12:9 NKJV)

Different Gifts, Different Angels:

There are angels that have different powers over disease and sickness, just as Gabriel had different powers than Michael, the arch angel. I have seen people get frustrated and turn from using their appointed gift G3D had entrusted to them because they did not understand how it was supposed to work. At times they would pray for the sick and they would be healed. Then other people they prayed for didn’t get healed. Out of frustration, they gave it up altogether.

Knowing Your Gift and Angel:

Regarding having the gift of healings; it does not mean you have power over all sickness or disease. Most of the time the reason why some were healed and others were not is because your appointed angel, ministering spirit, only has power over certain illnesses, afflictions or infirmities. The key to understanding is to keep a record who was healed and what they were healed of. It takes time but it is will be well worth the effort. Once you know without doubt want your appointed angel has power over. Nothing can stop you for letting everyone know what you can do in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.

Prophetic Teaching from Holy Spirit:

It is Written:

“Every good gift and every perfect gift are from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.”
(James 1:17 NKJV)

Shadow of Turning-meaning:

“G3D’s light creates no shadows; His light is always faithful to penetrate all darkness and leaves no form of shadow”

We are to perfect the gift by using it until we find out the true measure of its power. We are given to minister G3D’s love through His saving grace for Jesus said, “They will not believe except they see signs and wonders”

To experience the accuracy of any gift you must first find out what your called to do in the name of our Lord. When you know your calling and begin following its course then you can focus on your gift. Most people want to just move in their gift; however, they do not have a clue as to what they are called to do. If you do not follow your calling, your angel is not obligated to minister for you, hence no manifestation of the gifts. Your calling maybe preaching on a certain topic or working in a specified area of ministry or business. The angel is there to endorse your calling with signs and wonders. The signs and wonders are what establishes your position for all to notice.

It is Written:

“For I long to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift, so that you may be established” (Romans 1:11 NKJV)

Your calling may be evangelism, teaching faith, hearing God, feeding the poor, helping orphanages or visiting prisoners. Whatever you are called of G3D to do, He is faithful to endorse you with signs and wonders following after you. However, if you are not willing to do what G3D has called you to do His Angels will not minister for you. Once you have clarity of what your calling is then do it and stick with it; in doing so you will experience G3D’s continual flow of power in your calling and gifting.

It is Written:

“But to which of the angels has He ever said, ‘Sit at My right hand, till I make Your enemies Your footstool? Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister FOR those who will inherit salvation?'” (Hebrews 1:13, 14 NKJV).

When dealing with the prophetic, angels are vital copoints seeing the word and work are delivered with power. Angels are sent to signify and clarify what G3D’s purpose is for His people and to witness to the unbelievers and the uninformed.

It is Written:

Then Jesus said to him, “Unless you people see signs and wonders, you will by no means believe.” (John 4:48 NKJV)

The book of Revelation was given to John by an angel. Prophets of today cannot deny that prophecy, words of knowledge, words of wisdom are given to them in part by angels. To deny that His angels are speaking to us today would be saying that the Holy Scriptures are lies.

It is Written:

“The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants; things which must shortly take place. And He sent and signified it by His angel to His servant John, who bore witness to the word of God, and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, to all things that he saw. Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near” (Revelation 1:1-3 NKJV).

It is Written:

“Then he (the angel) said to me, “These words are faithful and true.” And the Lord God of the holy prophets sent His angel to show His servants the things which must shortly take place” (Revelation 22:6 NKJV).

It is Written:

“I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the Bright and Morning Star”
(Revelation 22:16 NKJV).

It is Written:

“And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues” (I Corinthians 12:28 NKJV).

It is Written:

“For through Him, Jesus, we both have access by one Spirit to the Father.”
“Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone, in whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.” (Ephesians 2:18-22 NKJV)

Question:

“Where in the Holy Bible is it recorded that G3D has removed His Holy Angels, Apostles & Prophets from the Church?”

As Angels have become less taboo to talk about in Church circles, the question arises: “What role do they serve in the lives of G3D’s People?” When we observe how they served and interacted with Christ, we can understand how they can help us in our own lives and ministries.

Angels were key in announcing the Birth of Christ. They appeared to Mary before His Conception (ref. Luke 1:26-38), showed up in Joseph’s dream, instructing him not to end his engagement with Mary, and declared His Arrival to the shepherds keeping their sheep (ref. Luke 2:9-15). Even after His Birth, angels directed the Wise Men to go back to their own nations a different way and avoid King Herod and warned Joseph to flee to Egypt, told him when it was safe to return after the death of King Herod and to move to Galilee and ultimately Nazareth (ref. Matthew 1:18-20, 2:12-13, 19-21).

After His Temptation in the Wilderness, the devil departed and Jesus was serviced by angels. They brought Him food and drink to satisfy His Hunger after 40 days of fasting (ref. Mark 1:13; Matthew 4:11), mirroring how angels fed Elijah in the desert and “he went in strength of that food forty days and forty nights to Horeb the Mount of G3D (1 Kings 19:5-8). It is not said whether they brought Him earthly food or manna from Heaven, but the feast He was presented with gave Him the strength to begin His Earthly Ministry in earnest.

After the Last Supper, Jesus and His Disciples went up to the Garden of Gethsemane, a special region that Jesus liked to visit on the Mount of Olives, where Jesus instructed them to pray that they would not fall into temptation. He went about a stone throws away from them and knelt down to pray on His own. He cried out, “Father if you are willing, take this cup from Me; yet not My Will, but Your be done.” Though G3D did not change what needed to be done, “an angel from Heaven appeared to Christ and gave Him strength” (re. Luke 22:39-43) to be able to handle the trial He was about to endure.

After Judas betrayed Christ, Jesus and the other Disciples were surrounded by a band of Roman soldiers and officers from the chief priests and Pharisees. Fearing for their lives, they asked “Lord, should we strike with our swords?” Simon Peter, in his typical rushed manner, made a hasty move to try to fight their way out of the arresting party. He swung his sword, striking the servant of the high priest Caiaphas, cutting off his right ear. Jesus retorted, “No more of this!” before touching the man’s ear and healing him.

Jesus criticized Peter, chastising “Put away your sword, for all who live by the sword, die by the sword. Don’t you realize that I can pray to My Father, and he will send me more than twelve legions of angels?”. After Jesus was taken into custody, the Disciples deserted Him and fled for their lives. (ref. Luke 22:47-53; Matthew 26:36-55)

After Christ’s Crucifixion and Resurrection, a great earthquake shook the region and an angel moved the stone from in front of the tomb and casually sat upon it. When Mary Madelynn and another Mary went to anoint Jesus’ Body with incense and perfumes, an angel announced that Christ had already risen and that His Disciples should go find Him in Galilee” (Matthew 28:2-8; Mark 16:3-8; Luke 24: 1-8).

What’s more, the author of Hebrews directly reminds Followers that “Are not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation?” (ref. Hebrews 1:14).

Angels played a constant and pivotal role in Jesus’s Life and Ministry. Even before He was born they told His Mother of her immaculate conception, and warned His Father Joseph that Mary’s child would be the Christ. As Christ came into the World, Angels declared His Arrival to the Shepherds keeping watch over their flocks.

After His Birth, Angels came to the wise men in dreams to warn them of the evil in King Herod’s heart and his true intention to hunt down and kill Jesus. Likewise, angels came to Joseph in a dream, warning that King Herod would kill the innocents in Bethlehem, and to flee quickly to Egypt. After Herod’s death, Joseph was again warned by angels in a dream to first go to Galilee, then Nazareth to avoid the wrath of Herod’s son.

During His Ministry, angels brought Christ food and water after His Temptation by the devil in the Wilderness. After 40 days and nights fasting Christ’s physical strength had failed Him and the angels brought to Him the sustenance His Earthly Body needed. But even when Jesus was praying intensely before His Arrest and Execution, an angel was sent to strengthen Christ before everything that was about to happen.

When Judas betrayed Jesus and Peter took it in his hands to try to fight the arresting party, Christ kept calm and criticized the violence that had broken out. He reminded that that He could release twelve legions of angels to come strike down those who fearfully came by night with weapons drawn to arrest Him. The angels were ready to wipe out the cowardly and corrupt officials from the high priest and Pharisees, if Christ so chose.

After His Death and Resurrection, angels turned back the stone and announced to the women who came to the tomb, that Jesus had already risen and told them to forward the message to His Disciples that they could find Him in Galilee.

Likewise, in our own lives, angels work to prepare the way for us to fulfill our assigned tasks here on Earth. They surround us during our initial walks as Newly Reborn Believers, cheering in Heaven at our redemption. They strengthen us in key moments and provide every physical and spiritual need we have to complete the Will of G3D. They move physical and spiritual boundaries out of our way, clearing our paths and directing us so that we can proceed in the Ways of the Lord.

The myriad of roles that angels played in Jesus’ Life and Ministry remind us of how they still interact with and work on behalf of those who will inherit salvation. Whether through the activation and implementation of our spiritual gifts, rendering physical or spiritual aid, or clearing the obstacles our enemies place in our paths, angels are available if we will just Pray.

A Prophetic Word:

More is coming than just mere words. It’s G3D’s power that will take your breath away. This euphoric experience shall overtake you with His Peace and Power as Angels hover over you. Prepare yourself to witness G3D’s vengeance for your enemies are His enemies. They soon will reap His wrath and freedom will be yours to hold once again.

We are led by the Holy Spirit, as He appoints His angels, (ministering spirits) to direct us. In order to properly discern the Will of G3D, you must be very sensitive to the ministering spirits appointed to you. If you provoke one of these appointed angels, you can leave yourself wide open for a demonic attack.

It is written:
“Behold,I send an Angel before you to keep you in the way and to bring you into the place which I have prepared. Beware of Him and obey His voice; do not provoke Him, for He will not pardon your transgressions; for My name is in Him. But if you indeed obey His Voice and do all that I speak, then I will be an enemy to your enemies and an adversary to your adversaries
(Exodus 23:20-22 NKJV).

G3D will never leave you nor forsake you, but you can quench the Holy Spirit, causing Him to withdraw His protective angels.

When ministering, it is very important not to quench the Spirit. I cannot express the importance of how careful you must be not to transgress the ministering spirits that are appointed to minister for you. It is a frightening thing to stand before a group of people telling them you are going to hear G3D for them, and then the spirit of prophecy not to be there for you.

It is written:
“And I fell at his feet to worship him (the angel). But he said to me, ‘See that you do not do that! I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren who have the testimony of Jesus. Worship G3D! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy‘” (Revelations 19:10 NKJV).

Many have interpreted this scripture in different ways; I will share with you what the Holy Spirit said to me in regards to its meaning. In the last line I quote “For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.” The Holy Spirit said to me, “It is not one’s personal testimony that is the spirit of prophecy; but the spirit of prophecy is the testimony revealing that Jesus is not dead but alive for He is speaking to all who have an ear to hear.” Through the prophetic gifts we know many things about G3D and what He is revealing to all who will receive Him.

It only takes one blasphemous word or deed to cause the spirits of our Heavenly Father to leave you vulnerable to satanic attacks. Not only do you have to mind your manners in the presence of the ministering spirits, but the people must be in line with his desires as well. Keep watch over your thoughts or deeds, otherwise the spirits of our heavenly Father will leave you high and dry.

It is written:
“Furthermore, we have had human fathers who corrected us, and we paid them respect. Shall we not much more readily be in subjection to the Father of Spirits and live?” (Hebrews 12:9 NKJV).

I recall back in early 1995, I was ministering in a church of about two hundred and fifty good old country folks. During those days, I did not know that the Lord would show you whom to call out of a crowd to receive a word of prophecy, so I would just have everyone in the building that wanted a word form a single line at the altar. I would minister until everyone who wanted a word had received one. Now this could take hours. The longest period of time I have ministered non-stop is five and one-half hours. That’s without any kind of break at all; no water, no sitting down, and no stopping. With the supernatural strength of the ministering spirits, you do not have any physical needs; you are caught up in the realm of the Holy Spirit.

It is written:
“Do not quench the Spirit. Do not despise prophecies.” (I Thessalonians 5:19-20 NKJV).

Now, after I had delivered my sermon, I offered the people in this little country church to line up if they wanted a word from G3D. I did not really think many would believe I could hear G3D for them, because none of them had even heard of me. To my surprise, everyone in the building that I could see jumped into formation ready to receive.

After ministering to the first hundred or so, from the corner of my eye I saw a bright light flash by and depart from the Sanctuary. I stopped ministering and turned to the Pastor and Elders who were standing right behind me. I said, “Someone has grieved the Holy Spirit and the spirit of prophecy has left the building. I cannot minister anymore here today. I am sorry.”

The crowd was confused and the Pastor and Elders began questioning me about what had happened. I told them that the last person I had ministered to cause the angel to depart. They said, “It couldn’t have been this person. He is very sensitive to the Holy Spirit. It had to be the person you ministered to right before him because she is not living right.” I knew who had offended the Messenger of G3D and it was not the person who the Pastor and Elders thought it was.

Six Months Later:
Six months later, I received a call from the Pastor and he had a report for me. He reported that last Sunday morning the person I had said offended the angel of the Lord came before the congregation. He confessed he had believed my ministry was not of G3D and asked the people for forgiveness for being wrong. Since then I have ministered to that same congregation more than ten times, and our Lord has given life-changing prophetic words. To this day many of the people have remained partners and a few have become very close friends.

The manifestation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit is a sign from G3D that He is alive and watching over us. You may have never thought of it this way. I learned this truth from the Holy Spirit by Him leading me into experiences that taught me what to expect.

As more and more denominations have become aware of the power of prophecy, there are greater questions about the ways the G3D speaks to His People in the modern era. Mirroring our current moment of national crisis and oppression by foreign governments trying to devastate the nation, G3D sent Israel a Champion and spoke to him in a variety of creative ways.

After years of refusing to follow G3D’s ways, the Israelites were severely oppressed by the neighboring Midianites. Their presence was so crushing that their agrarian economies began to collapse en masse due to the violent outbursts of the Midianite plunderers, which destroyed their fields after stripping them of any valuable produce or domesticated animals. They would descend on the Israelites like a horde of locusts, and violently strip and ravage the Israelites of their food and work, leading to hyper-inflation in their communities.

When the Israelites cried out to G3D, he sent them a prophet who spread this message: “The Lord, the G3D of Israel says: I brought you up out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. I rescued you from the hand of the Egyptians. And I delivered you from the hand of all your oppressors; I drove them out before you and gave you their land. I said to you, ‘I am the Lord your G3D; do not worship the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you live.’ But you have not listened to me”.

G3D sent His Angel to Gideon who was hiding in a wine press, threshing grain to keep it from the occupying Midianite forces. While the angel was lounging under an oak tree, it playfully taunted Gideon, telling him that “The Lord is with you, mighty warrior”.

Gideon, whose name meant mighty warrior, was not acting like a mighty warrior hiding from the plunderers in his nation, and felt that because he came from one of the smallest tribes, was of the weakest clans within Tribe Manasseh, and was the least prominent in his family, that he definitely was no warrior and questioned how the Lord could be with him when G3D had allowed the country to be overrun by such evil and callous people.

Gideon doubted the words of the angel of the Lord and asked for a sign. After Gideon brought out an offering of unleavened bread, meat from a young goat, and its broth in a pot, the Angel of the Lord caused the offering to be instantly consumed by fire.

As the destruction of the country became more intense, the occupying Midianites joined with other foreign nations to more intensely suppress G3D’s People and camped together in the Valley of Jezreel.

Gideon called forces together and built a militia from volunteers of the smallest tribes: Manasseh, Asher, Zebulun, and Naphtali. Before heading to battle against their oppressors, Gideon asked G3D for a sign that He would deliver their enemies into their hands. The first night he asked that dew only collect on a wool fleece and after he wrung out a bowl full of water the next morning from the fleece that lay on dry ground, he asked again for another sign that the fleece would remain dry while the ground would be covered with dew. After receiving his second confirmation, Gideon set about preparing his counter-forces.

To prevent Israel from boasting that they saved themselves for their oppressors, G3D progressively dwindled the volunteer forces. First, those who were afraid of battle, were allowed to leave, with 22,000 men heading home, with a remaining 10,000. This group was reduced further down to 300 based on how they drank water from a stream.

The night before the planned attack, the Lord spoke to Gideon, telling him to go near the Midian camp with his lieutenant Purah, and listen to the chatter amongst the enemy forces. One of the opposing soldiers told his friend a dream that a round loaf of barley bread, which represented the people of Israel, came tumbling into the Midianite camp striking their military headquarters so intensely that it overturned and collapsed. His friend recognized the meaning of the dream, saying that G3D had given the whole camp unto the hands of Gideon.

Gideon took his 300 soldiers and decimated the ranks of the Midianites, forcing the few remaining survivors to flee toward the Jordan River where they were intercepted by area locals who were ready to retaliate against the violent foreigners who had looted their fields and homes.

Israel’s suppression by the Midianites came from years of turning away from G3D’s Voice. When they cried out to Him, He answered in a variety of different ways. First He sent a prophet to deliver His Message, but even Gideon the Judge criticized what G3D’s Prophet said asking where all the miracles and wonders his ancestors had experienced were today. When the Angel of the Lord was sent directly to Gideon, he doubted his message till he saw the sacrificial meal miraculously consumed by fire. Even after all these confirmations, before preparing his militia to counter the raiders, Gideon asked for two back to back signs with the dew and lambs fleece to confirm that G3D was with his forces.

In order to confirm that the right men were going to battle, G3D told Gideon to allow the fearful to go home, and only bring with him those who drank from the stream where they camped a specific way. Just before the battle, G3D once again gave Gideon a sign through the enemy’s dreams to let him know that he would be victorious.

Though G3D sent His Prophet to tell the Israelites how to relieve themselves from their trials and tribulations, they chose not to listen. Regarding Judge Gideon, he sent an angel, who then performed a miraculous sign for him. Gideon asked that Nature bend to G3D’s Will as additional signs. When deciding who to choose, G3D used the men’s own emotions and habits as markers of who should join the battle. Even before the fighting began, G3D used the enemy’s own dreams to confirm the Israelite’s coming victory.

When we question why we are experiencing our current national downturn, we have to wonder why G3D has allowed us to fall into these dire circumstances. One of G3D’s Prophets, Kent Simpson, warned about the Corona virus back in October 2019 and outlined why the country would be affected by the plague. But few listened and now G3D must speak new to us in new ways. We pray that G3D’s People are receptive to any future message He sends, no matter what manner He chooses.

‘Pray, Hear, & Obey’

Jesus is not only our Savior and Lord, but also our mentor and teacher through His Holy Spirit. He is our King and our example. Even so, when Jesus came to earth, it took him three and a half years to show his disciples how to walk in the supernatural with evidence through signs and wonders. While here, He was able to receive the encounter of miraculous interventions. Jesus did many healings and many miracles, in many different ways.

Sometimes Jesus would spit in the dirt, make mud and place it on a blind man’s eyes. Other times he would put his tongue upon them. It is written that He would even spit directly on the blind eyes. You do not see these same types of ministries today because it is not socially acceptable.

How did He know what to do in order for miracles to manifest? Jesus has shown us how. First, He prayed to the Father and whatever the Father told him to do, Jesus did it. And it always worked, 100% of the time.

You are Gifted Whether you are Aware of It or Not
Today we want to see 100% accuracy in the gifts of the Holy Spirit moving in the body of Christ. The world needs to see the evidence that Jesus is alive and working through His body, the Church. We are each members of the body of Christ, and each of us has a function and purpose. We all have a gifting whether we are aware of it or not. The gift is there, even though it may lay dormant for a long time.

We need to be aware of how Jesus moved and walked. The things Jesus did were done according to the will of the Father. He said, “I do nothing of my own authority. I speak what I hear the Father say.” This is the true Christian way. His works while on earth were demonstrations of what we are to do. We may even perform greater works than He, according to John 14:12. Many times Jesus would pray to find out what the Father had to say, and when Jesus prayed there were angels ascending and descending upon him giving him instructions from heaven above. “Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” That means we need to find out first from heaven what needs to be done. When we find out what it is that we are to do, nothing can stop us because the authority of His Word is working through us.

Angels of Our Lord
When Jesus was born in a manger, there was an army raised up to find him. Every child two years old or under was to be slaughtered because King Herod heard that a king was born and Herod feared losing his position.

An angel appeared unto Joseph and Mary and warned them to leave the city, for King Herod sought the life of their newborn Son. They left the city and stayed away for a number of years. Then an angel appeared to them again and let them know that it was safe to return, for King Herod was dead. This was just the beginning of many encounters with angelic hosts in the ministry of Jesus Christ.

When Jesus stood before those who were to judge him, Pontius Pilot said to him, “Do you not know that I hold your life in my hands? I can give your life or I can take it.” Jesus replied that Pilot did not know what he was talking about. He had 12,000 angels at his disposal. (ref. Matthew 26:53) Upon his word, the angels could have destroyed everything.

When Jesus walked into a city, people came from everywhere to seek him. Jesus did not have to advertise his presence. People just showed up in the middle of nowhere because the angels of the Lord gathered them. Many times, Jesus could not find a place to be alone so that he could seek the will of the Father. These encounters are important to us because they are examples of how our lives should be. We are not to worship or pray to angels, but they are there as ministering spirits for us.

Angels, His Ministering Spirits
Ministering spirits are angels sent to minister, not to us, but for us. When you came into the Kingdom of God, an angel was appointed unto you. When you gave your life to Jesus Christ, it is recorded in the Gospels that an angel went before the face of God and reported your name to Him so that it could be written into the Lamb’s Book of Life. These ministering spirits are waiting for you to yield unto the will of Jesus Christ, that He may dispatch them on your behalf to minister for you. To each and every one of us there is at least one angel appointed as a guardian to watch over us. But there are more angels that are to be dispatched by the word of God. Jesus had 2,000 angels at his disposal and they ministered for Him. And He says, “Greater Works you will do” in John 14:12.

If you have more than one angel, you may find something is working in your life that you truly could not have done on your own. You do not have the intellect to comprehend what God will do through you as He appoints an angel to minister for you. There are testimonials of people who knew they were supposed to die years ago. Their lives were spared for a purpose, by angels who were watching over them until their appointed time to be with the Lord.

How do we obtain these angels and spiritual gifts?
How do we receive the appointment of these angels? If we do not pray to them or worship them, how do we get their assistance as promised to us in Hebrews 1:14 NKJV – “Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation?” and 1 Timothy 4:14 -“Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy with the laying on of the hands of the eldership.”

It all begins with the impartation of a spiritual gift of the Holy Spirit. When you received the baptism of the Holy Spirit, there was a gift appointed unto you. That gift is still there with you. If you look back and recall when you received the baptism of Jesus, not only of the water but the Spirit, according to Acts chapter-19, then you will see that there was a spiritual gift given to you. Maybe shortly after you received the Holy Spirit you prayed for somebody and they were healed. Maybe you had a dream and it came to pass. Maybe you had a vision or a word burning in you for someone and you could find no relief until you were able to deliver that word. Take a moment and think back. What area of spiritual encounter did your ministering spirit perform through you?

Angels are appointed by the Holy Spirit to minister in accordance with the spiritual gifts that have been imparted into you. For, you see, the angels are the ones who are doing the ministering for you. It is not your own willfulness or power that overcomes the natural so that you can walk in the supernatural. No! It is the angel of the Lord who was sent to do the work for you.

Your Appointed Angel Seeks to do His Word
When Peter was in prison, the congregation was praying for his safe return. An angel went to the prison and kicked Peter to wake him up. Peter asked who kicked him but the angel told him to get his things and then lead him out of prison. Peter came to the house where they were praying for him and knocked on the door. A girl peeped out and saw Peter but did not let him in; instead she went to tell the others. But they replied that it could not be Peter at the door but it must be his angel. (ref. Acts 12:6-14) Why would they say such a thing?

It should be an effortless deed to walk in the supernatural. An angel is going about seeing to it that the word of God is fulfilled in your life. There are so many references in the Bible about angels. If you were to look up all of the encounters, you would surely be blessed to know that angels are still here ministering for us. An encounter with an angel can set you free. When will your next encounter be?

A Few of My Favorite Scriptures on Hearing G3D
“As for you, son of man, the children of your people are talking about you beside the walls and in the doors of the houses; and they speak to one another, everyone saying to his brother, ‘Please come and hear what the word is that comes from the LORD.’ So, they come to you as people do, they sit before you as My people, and they hear your words, but they do not do them; for with their mouth they show much love, but their hearts pursue their own gain. Indeed, you are to them as a very lovely song of one who has a pleasant voice and can play well on an instrument; for they hear your words, but they do not do them. And when this comes to pass—surely it will come—then they will know that a prophet has been among them.” (Ezekiel 33:30-33) my calling came July-1976

“Surely the Lord GOD does nothing, Unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets.” (Amos 3:7)
Somewhere there is a prophet who G3D spoke to about what was about to happen. However, only brand-name prophets have the platform to be heard from. The only thing that separates a brand-name prophet and an unknown prophet, is a good publicist.

“And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts; knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.” (2 Peter 1:19-21) G3D has a prophetic word for everyone but who will be the one to deliver it?

“Who is he who speaks and it comes to pass, when the Lord has not commanded it?” (Laminations 3:37) The next scripture explains
“And if you say in your heart, ‘How shall we know the word which the LORD has not spoken?’— when a prophet speaks in the name of the LORD, if the thing does not happen or come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it *presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him.”
(Deuteronomy 18:21-22) *presumptuously- failing to observe the limits of what is permitted or appropriate.

“Then He said to them, “Take heed what you hear. With the same measure you use, it will be measured to you; and to you who hear, more will be given.” (Mark 4:24) As long as you obey G3D He will continue to speak to you.

“But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.”
(1 John 2:27) The anointing reveals the truth whether it’s spoken or written. Everyone needs to know when G3D’s anointing is present.

Prophetic Prayer-Distinguishing the Voice of G3D

With more and more prophetic voices available online, sometimes it’s hard to know whom to listen to and sometimes even harder to know who is actually hearing The Voice of G3D. Rulers during the First Century Church struggled with this same issue and after a spiritual confrontation, a false prophet was left in the dark.

During their missionary trips around Asia Minor, Apostle Paul and Barnabas visited a location called Paphos, where they met a man famous in the region. This man’s name was Elymas, but self-appointed himself Bar-Jesus, meaning Son of the Messiah. He was a Jewish sorcerer and false prophet who had used his skilled at deception to place himself as the attendant to the proconsul, Sergius Paulus. This regional governor was intelligent and had heard of the exploits of Barnabas and Saul, wanting to hear directly from them the Word of G3D.

Elymas Bar-Jesus, recognized that they were legitimate sources of G3D’s Word and felt that his position as a political and/or religious advisor to the provincial governor would be threatened if he spoke with Apostle Paul and Barnabas. Elymas the sorcerer attempted to slander and oppose them, trying desperately to turn Governor Sergius Paulus from hearing the Gospel and becoming a faithful follower.

When Apostle Paul and Barnabas finally confronted Elymas, the tension must have been intense. Paul, who was filled with the Holy Spirit, directly challenged Elymas, looking straight into his eyes and condemned him with these words “You are the child of the devil and an enemy of everything that is right! You are full of all kinds of deceit and trickery. Will you never stop perverting the right ways of the Lord?”

Paul had called the man who fancied himself the son of the Messiah, what he truly was: a child of the devil. Paul also criticized his political position, saying that he was an enemy to everything thing that is right. No doubt, provincial governor Sergius Paulus, who may have served as a judge for the region as well, would have recognized the implication that Paul was making and been stung with regret for having followed any of Elymas’ advice in areas of Justice. Paul also called out Elymas’ practicing of the dark arts as a sorcerer who specialized in deceiving and tricking their victims. Even after hearing how he had been so foolish to trust such a corrupt official, Paul further rebuked the governor’s lack of judgement by revealing that Elymas was also a false prophet who had been giving him whispers from his lips rather than the true Words of the Lord.

Though the proconsul had his attendant publicly critiqued, he was privately humiliated in his heart. But because Sergius earnestly sought the Voice of G3D, he was spared from further punishment, though his wicked advisor faced the Wrath of G3D for his extensive deceptions.

Paul declared a judgment that ironically matched the same he experienced for his persecution of the growing Christian population. “Now the Hand of the Lord is against you. You are going to be blind for a time, not even able to see the light of the sun”.

Immediately, mist and darkness came over Elymas in a horrifying display that superseded the pageantry of the dark magic that he practiced and used against his enemies. The sorcerer who allegedly could see into the future, was now blind and was forced to grope about, looking for someone to lead him by the hand.

When the proconsul saw the results of this spiritual battle, he was filled with faith and believed. He had received such limited knowledge through Elymas’ filter, that he was amazed at the teaching about the Lord from Paul and Barnabas (ref. Acts 13:6-12).

Despite his flaws in failing to recognize the treachery of Elymas, Sergius Paulus actually serves as a strong example of how we, and not just modern politicians, should genuinely seek G3D. Despite his elevated position, he still sought out spiritual advice to lead him in his work and life. But he did not become complacent either. Ironically, though he would have been provided multiple forms of constantly new array of distractions and secret teachings through Elymas, Sergius Paulus sought the authentic Word of G3D. Even when he realized that he had been listening to false doctrine, the proconsul still humbled himself and wanted to learn everything he could from the mouths of true Apostles and Prophets.

As more and more nationally renowned spiritual leaders fall by the wayside, pray that those who carry the authentic Voice of G3D be lifted up and given opportunities for our local, state, and federal leaders to hear His Truth. Even moreso, pray that our leaders’ egos do not prevent them from replacing their current advisors after realizing their mistake of having them as counsel.

As the world has become more and more spiritually minded, we need to stop and recognize the kind of spirit that is behind the knowledge that we are receiving. That is especially true concerning our politicians and anyone with governmental authority. As we begin to fight for the future of our country, we must remember it is not just who is put at the Head of government, but who has the Soul of our Nation.

What do you do when you have problems that seem to keep you stuck in a revolving door -continually oscillating you through the same problems over and over again? Believe it or not there are answers to every problem! Neither I, nor anyone else at PMT, claims to have all the answers; however, we do know the One that does have all the answers to each and every problem.

There are times as a Christian when you will hear our Lord’s voice or know His thoughts as He reveals Himself along the way as you journey through this life. However, it is a different kind of relationship to be able to find God for someone who is at their wits end and who looks to you for answers. They are expecting you to seek God and His righteousness on their behalf until you find the answers which bring resolve to their problems.

“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you” (Matthew 6:33).

The responsibility is heavy. Everything within you truly rests on your God given ability to know what He is revealing and what will work. Turning a crisis moment into a wonderful testimony is priceless. Just because you hear God’s voice regarding what to do is not enough. This is where all the years of training under the direction of the Holy Spirit are needed before one can be certified as a prophetic elder. Through all the times the Spirit of God has set you up, placing you in between the rock and a hard spot is where you learn how to know what He means when He speaks or reveals His answers to you. Most of the times the answer does not come all at once; it will come in stages. Ultimately, He will lead you into a direction that will eventually open the way for you to get out from under your troubles. It is like you are caught in a maze, blinding you by all the walls, creating obstacles of confusion that keep you from finding your breakthrough. One wrong turn could leave you staring at a dead end with nowhere to go.

Have you ever been at a place in your life where there was no room to make another bad choice? This is your last chance and you must know what is at the end of the path before taking another step. This is when you need to find someone who has already taken this journey and can tell you what is at the end of the road. In prophetic circles we refer to this valuable insight as a “Word of Wisdom”. (ref. 1 Corinthians 12:8)

After years of helping others find their answers you discover it’s all about finding God’s hiding places. No one’s problem is exactly the same as another’s. Therefore, each maze has a unique set of parameters and it will require a new approach- a divine map that has not yet been created. At times you feel you are playing a very serious game of hide and seek with God Almighty and the more you play it the more of His hiding places you can add to your list to check the next time you go seeking Him. This is how you learn to develop your ability to strengthen your prophetic gift that gives you the prophetic insight to see more accurately around the corner of tomorrow. With each answer and correct interpretation, you gently navigate that person through the process of praying, hearing and obeying until you have victory delivering them from hopelessness into the light found at the end of the tunnel.

There is much being proclaimed by ‘name brand’ prophets today who are warning us that more troubles are ahead of us. Isn’t the trouble you are already in what matters the most to you? Now is the year to ‘WORD-UP’ and not give up. If you find His Word you have found the answers to all your troubles. Amen, so be it!

1. G3D Wakes Samuel (1 Samuel 3:1-5)
Now the boy Samuel ministered to the LORD before Eli. And the word of the LORD was rare in those days; there was no widespread revelation. And it came to pass at that time, while Eli was lying down in his place, and when his eyes had begun to grow so dim that he could not see, and before the lamp of G3D went out in the tabernacle of the LORD where the ark of G3D was, and while Samuel was lying down, that the LORD called Samuel. And he answered, “Here I am!” So, he ran to Eli and said, “Here I am, for you called me.”

And he said, “I did not call; lie down again.” And he went and lay down.

2.3 Times G3D Calls Out to Samuel (1 Samuel 3:8-9)
And the LORD called Samuel again the third time. So, he arose and went to Eli, and said, “Here I am, for you did call me.”

Then Eli perceived that the LORD had called the boy. Therefore, Eli said to Samuel, “Go, lie down; and it shall be, if He calls you, that you must say, ‘Speak, LORD, for Your servant hears.’” So, Samuel went and lay down in his place

3.Samuel’s First Prophecy (1 Samuel 3:10-15)
Now the LORD came and stood and called as at other times, “Samuel! Samuel!”
And Samuel answered, “Speak, for Your servant hears.”
Then the LORD said to Samuel: “Behold, I will do something in Israel at which both ears of everyone who hears it will tingle. In that day I will perform against Eli all that I have spoken concerning his house, from beginning to end. For I have told him that I will judge his house forever for the iniquity which he knows, because his sons made themselves vile, and he did not restrain them. And therefore, I have sworn to the house of Eli that the iniquity of Eli’s house shall not be atoned for by sacrifice or offering forever.”
So, Samuel lay down until morning, and opened the doors of the house of the LORD. And Samuel was afraid to tell Eli the vision.

4.Samuel Delivers the Word of G3D (1 Samuel 3:16-18)
Then Eli called Samuel and said, “Samuel, my son!”
He answered, “Here I am.”
And he said, “What is the word that the LORD spoke to you? Please do not hide it from me. G3D do so to you, and more also, if you hide anything from me of all the things that He said to you.” Then Samuel told him everything, and hid nothing from him. And he said, “It is the LORD. Let Him do what seems good to Him.”

Prophetic Prayer-Shema: A Prophetic Lullaby

Many of the songs we learned in elementary or Sunday school or that our parents sang to us as infants, still ring in our memories even decades later. When faced with one of life’s most difficult questions, Christ sang a children’s lullaby.

As Jesus’ ministry continued to grow, and more and more people began to follow Him. The religious elite at the time, The Pharisees and Sadducees, tried to stumble Jesus with obscure religious questions that would divide the crowds into arguing factions and hopefully end His Ministry. Previously, the Pharisees asked whether the Imperial Tax should be paid to Caesar, while the Sadducees asked about marriage after the Resurrection.

When Jesus was again challenged by the teachers of the Law, asking what the greatest commandment was, they were laying down another desperate rhetorical trap, hoping to finally have an excuse to criticize and condemn Him. This mob consisted of some of the most highly educated and trained religious leaders in the Nation of Israel. They would have had the equivalent of a Doctorate in Theology or Law and their extensive education made them feel as though they should be the ones the crowds should be clamoring to hear from.

When Jesus finally answered their question, the audience would have been astonished to have heard the familiar tune that they all knew from their childhoods, pass from His lips.

The words were all the same, but some mother’s sang to their children with lovely sweet tender voices, while others were rough and raspy but still filled with love for their baby and the G3D who had blessed them with their little marvel.

Yisra’eil, Adonai Eloheinu, Adonai echad

The stanza was a command directed to all of Israel, but modern Followers should still head its Wisdom.

Shema Yisra’eil

Hear, O Israel

Somehow, hear doesn’t quite fit everything that is being said. It’s probably best translated as “Listen”. G3D doesn’t want us to just hear His Voice, He wants us to Listen and Obey.

Adonai Eloheinu

The Lord is our G3D

Though they were surrounded by pantheons of false foreign gods, they knew they belonged to the One True Living G3D. And if He was their G3D, it meant that they were His People and had the blessed opportunity to worship and praise Him.

Adonai echad

The Lord is One

Better understood as the “Lord alone”, meaning they were to serve G3D exclusively. Though the Romans worshiped not only their gods but also their emperors and government, G3D’s People instead were to serve Him exclusively.

Love the Lord Your G3D with all your Heart, Soul, Mind, & Strength.

The rest of Christ’s response was also possibly sung as well and is the focus of the Greatest Commandment. We are to love our Creator with every aspect of our being.

While the religious leaders of the day sought to try to make obeying G3D complex and complicated, so that the average worshiper was required to go through them to understand the Law, Jesus presented a different option. The Greatest Commandment was the very first prayer a Jewish child learned to recite and something that every member of the community would have already known by heart. This prophetic lullaby was simple and fundamental and was also the basis for hearing and serving G3D.

Incidentally, the Shema is the accidental basis for PMT’s motto. It is the inaugural Prayer children learned, its first word instructs reciters to Hear what is being said, and the closing lines explain how we can Obey our G3D through the many facets of our three part being.

Following Christ doesn’t need to be complicated. We say Pray, Hear, & Obey; It’s the Christian Way. For the audience who was watching Jesus being confronted by the religious leaders of His era, He put it in a way every man, woman, and child could understand: He sang the Shema, a prophetic children’s song.
