Prophetic Principles, Properties, & Performances-
Introducing New Vocabulary

As the popularity of “G3D” begins to grow and more Believers begin to incorporate it into their own writing and references, we wanted to take the opportunity to standardize some of the other prophetic terms we have been using in our weekly articles recently. In this moment of mayhem, we hope to help Prophetic People at least speak the same language.

Regular readers have probably already notices us use some of these words in our previous articles and those who have been following our separate podcast on the Charisma Podcast Network are already aware of our Prophecy 101 episode which also helps explain these concepts.

Prophetic Principles are universal constants that people are able to abide by. One of the most popularly repeated ones here at PMT is “Surely the Lord G3D does nothing without revealing His Plan to His Servants the Prophets” (Amos 3:7). While not every legitimate prophet will receive a Word concerning everything that is happening in the World, G3D will still reveal His Plans to those who hear His Voice before taking action.

The most famous recent example was how G3D revealed to Prophet Kent Simpson the coming Corona Virus. On October 13, 2019, we released a video describing the approaching global pandemic, months before the first official reported case of infection in China.

This is just one example of a Prophetic Principle that all modern Christians should be aware of, especially as things feel unstable and unpredictable, we must remember that G3D is aware of things before they happen and will reveal them to His Messengers.

Prophetic Properties are a more specific type of symbolism. Though often referred to as types and shadows, or prophetic natures, Prophetic Properties are the fingerprints G3D leaves behind as clues to what He is doing in the future. The construction of the Tabernacle and Temple had many examples of this, starting with its building materials, its circular form and court layouts, as well as the ministering priest’s wardrobes.

Many of these have cultural aspects which were originally meant for a different audience. When observing Prophetic Properties, we need to view them from the lenses of those whom G3D originally intended His Message to be received by. When G3D sends Prophetic Messages to His Modern Prophets, they will be delivered in a way that both the prophet and those who are to receive the Word will be able to understand.

Prophetic Performances are most closely associated with Prophet Jeremiah, though they aren’t exclusively restricted to how he operated. They are sometimes referred to as prophetic gestures, sign-acts, or symbolic actions. One of his most well-known Prophetic Performances was the wearing, burial, and retrieval of a linen waistband symbolizing how useless Israel had become in the sight of G3D (ref Jeremiah 13:1-11). Other famous examples include the taking of a clay jug and breaking it in front of the religious leaders of Jerusalem (ref. Jeremiah 19:1-13) and wearing an oxen yoke and later having it broken by a false prophet named Hananiah (Jeremiah 27-28).

The use of Prophetic Performances was so ubiquitous that even Evil King Ahab and his False Prophets used them. When King Ahab and Jehoshaphat, King of Judah, were planning on attacking and taking back the region of Ramoth-gilead, they consorted with Ahab’s prophets of the golden calf cult, asking if the battle would be victorious. Zedekiah, son of Kenaanah, had fashioned a set of iron horns and mimicking the act of a raging bull, declared “This is what the Lord says: With these you shall gore the Arameans until they are finished off” (1 Kings 22:1-11)

Prophetic Performances were still used in the New Testament as well. Prophet Agabus was already famed in the region for having predicted the crushing worldwide famine that would later take place during the reign of Claudius (Acts 11:27-28). Agabus had joined a guild of prophets in Jerusalem and through his apprenticeship with them he further developed his prophetic gifting.

When Paul was planning on returning to Jerusalem to try to preach and teach the Gospel, he was discouraged by disciples in Tyre, who through the Spirit urged Paul not to go to Jerusalem. When Paul and his band arrived in Caesarea, they stayed with Philip the evangelist, whose four unmarried daughters also prophesied to Paul, also possibly about what would happened in Jerusalem. After staying there for a few days, Prophet Agabus came down from Judea and upon approaching Paul, took his belt and tied his own hands and feet with it, saying “The Holy Spirit says, ‘In this way the Jewish leaders in Jerusalem will bind the owner of this belt and will hand him over to the Gentiles’” (ref. Acts 21:4-11).

Prophetic Performances also apply to some of the ritualized services that people perform during Mass each week or during special holidays. The Eucharist or observing the Lord’s Supper is a Prophetic Performance leading back to Christ’s sacrifice, just as the observing of the Passover sacrifice and meal was a Prophetic Performance preparing the Jewish People’s hearts to recognize and accept Christ as their Messiah.

Like G3D (God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. G3D is all 3 in One.), we hope this new vocabulary helps explain some of the prophetic terms we have been grappling to define and describe as more people come to recognize not only the importance of prophecy in Scripture, but its current applications today.

Prophetic Prayer-On the Solid Rock We Stand

The year 2020, has felt, for many, to be one of the most turbulent time periods in their lives and their country. Before Egypt, the most powerful, wealthy, and successful nation in the world, was tormented with plague after plague, Moses was given a firsthand opportunity to see the stability that only G3D could offer.

While the story of the Burning Bush is universally known by nearly all Jews and Christians, there are subtle hints throughout the story pointing to G3D trying to teach Moses to no longer rely on or put faith in physical and material things, but to instead wholly rely on Him.

The first instruction that G3D gave Moses was for him to remove his shoes because the place he was standing was holy ground. While this was done as a way for Moses to begin following G3D’s Guidance, it also slowly peeled away the things in which Moses would have his confidence in. Living in a desert environment, especially one where he guided his flocks through rocky terrain, his shoes would have been one of his most important forms of protection against the elements and dangerous landscape. Moses would have instantly felt even more vulnerable standing in G3D’s Presence barefooted.

When Moses asks what to do if the Israelites do not believe him, G3D instructs Moses to throw his staff on the ground, after which it became a snake, and Moses ran away from it. As a shepherd working in a rugged and mountainous region, his staff would have been one of his most prized and important tools. When Prophet Zechariah is tasked with shepherding the doomed flocks of Israel, his two staves were even maned Favor and Union (Zechariah 11). Moses would have used his staff not only as a source of additional support when climbing through the jagged rocky province, but it would have also helped him with guiding and directing his flocks, as well as served as a weapon against wild animals. Taking something he relied on daily, in so many aspects of his work life, and making him fearful and doubtful of it, would have removed an additional level of support from Moses.

As G3D gave Moses signs to perform for the Israelite elders to prove that he had spoken with the G3D of their forefathers, G3D told Moses to place his hand under his shirt. When Moses pulled his hand back, it had become leprous as snow. The large splotches of discolored and diseased skin would have crushed Moses’ heart as some of the last things he could rely on, had been taken from him in an instant.

Though Moses was eighty years old, he was still strong enough to wander through the desert and mountains maintaining his father’s flocks. Now his health was in jeopardy. Leprosy was a multi-edged disease, which not only wasted away your flesh, but because it was so contagious, infection essentially made you a social outcast forced to live away from the rest of the community. His friends, family, and other social supports would no longer be there and everyone he could have counted on would view his leprous skin with disdain.

G3D did not do these things to be cruel to Moses. G3D allowed Moses to put back his sandals and in fact kept them in good condition for the forty years that the Israelites wandered through the Wilderness (Deuteronomy 29:5). Moses’ staff which he had relied on extensively during his time as a shepherd and which had turned into a snake, became one of his most important tools carrying out G3D’s Will and was the conduit for many of the miracles and plagues that Moses performed. Moses’ health never failed him and even though he lived an additional forty years, passing at one hundred and twenty, he never lost his vision nor any of his strength. And though the Israelites rose up against him multiple times, he was never actually abandoned by his tribes and as one of, if not the last person to die in the Wilderness, the young Israelites who were allowed to cross over into the Promised Land wept for thirty days after Moses was buried.

In our current trials and tribulations, G3D will take things away from us briefly to see what we love more, Him or the World. If we chose the shaky unstable foundation of sand that the physical world promises, we will lose everything. If we chose G3D, He will not only return what He asked in a new form, but multiplied greatly.

When Moses stripped off his shoes while standing on holy ground, they returned to his feet so perfectly crafted by G3D’s Hands that they did not wear out after forty years wandering in the Wilderness. When Moses’ career was unexpected changed and the tools he’d relied on for decades were no longer viable, his staff rejoined his hand imbued with even greater power and his years of leading large flocks in the deserts and mountains was used as he was promoted to leading hundreds of thousands of people now. When he feared that his health was failing and that he would be pushed aside by the community, he instead was given an additional forty years of radiant health and was mourned for deeply by the people he had lead for long.

As G3D slowly strips away the things we have relied on for years, decades, or even generations, we need to realize that it is a test to see where we will put our Faith. It may be scary at first, realizing so much of what you had counted on is leaving you, and all you are left of your home is the foundation. But if that underpinning is in G3D, He will rebuild what He took from you far better than what you had before if you abide in Him. As we enter this new stage in G3D’s Plan, we will clearly see where we have actually placed our Faith and how firm a foundation G3D is compared to the World.

Prophetic Prayer-Cost of Disobedience

Modern television and cinema have given us different versions of the prophetic truth that those who are closer to G3D typically have a greater weight thrust upon their shoulders. Despite all the blessings associated with serving Him, there comes a heavy price for disobedience.

When Christ was telling the First Century Christians to be alert and ready for His Return, He compared their personal anticipation to that of a servant waiting for their master’s arrival after a wedding. There is a twist in fate when the master arrived and found the servants who were faithful and ready to attend to him, since he would instead dress himself to serve them, and those servants would be greatly blessed for the eagerness and preparation.

Apostle Peter wondered if the parable was meant specifically for himself and his fellow apostles, or if it applied to everyone who heard the message.

In typical rabbinic manner, Christ responded to Peter’s question with a rhetorical question, asking who the master would put in charge of the other household servants and all the master’s possessions. Of course, positions would be allocated based on whom the master found diligently waiting and working when he returned.

In anticipation of modern eschatological theories, Christ warned of the foolish servants who say in their hearts that the master would be a long time coming and use that as an excuse to be abusive to their fellow servants and enjoy the pursuits of the world such as gorging on food and drink to the point of intoxication. The master’s return would be a mystery and the foolish and abusive servants would miss his arrival and be punished severely for their actions, and assigned a place amongst the unbelievers.

Likewise, servants who knew the master’s will and did not prepare themselves or do their master’s will would be brutally punished. G3D’s Justice would extend to those who did not know, but still did things worthy of punishment, would still be corrected but not nearly to the same intensity of those who knew their master’s will.

While Christ was trying to prepare the First Century Christians for the future besiegement and destruction of the Temple of Jerusalem in 70 A.D. and how to anticipate this history shaking event, these principles still ring true even in today’s modern era.

Christ concluded his parable with a phrase often copied by modern super hero movies: “Much will be required of everyone who has been given much. And even more will be expected of the one who has been entrusted with more” (ref. Luke 12:35-48).

The gifts that we have received from our Father in Heaven, our time, talents, and treasures have been given in unequal measure because those who have been blessed greatly will be responsible for more and more will be expected of them. This is not limited to just our physical and financial gifts, but especially extends to the spiritual gifts that you received once you were baptized by fire by the Holy Spirit.

Those who have been given a single spiritual gift should not envy their Brother in Christ who has multiple, since that brother will be responsible for far more because he has been endowed with more power and position. Likewise, that brother will be held to a much higher standard and have more expected of him due to his overflow of gifts and blessings.

This is especially true regarding prophecy.

Those who have heard G3D’s Voice directly or have received a Word through a Prophet, have received more knowledge of their Master’s Will and the weight of this will crush them if they chose to instead ignore it. Prophet Kent Simpson often says that those who are closer to G3D are the first to be corrected by Him. This is a great blessing since it allows us to quickly modify our actions and paths to better match His Will.

Though the parable was meant to prepare the early Church for the destruction of Jerusalem during Tisha B’Av, it still applies to modern Christians.

If we are faithful and prepare ourselves for service to Him, we will be surprised to find that He will send His Angels to serve us. For our faithfulness, we will be rewarded with greater positions and responsibilities, but those same blessings and gifts must continually be used to fulfill His Will as those who have received much will have much expected of them.

Even moreso those who hear His Voice or received a Prophetic Word, must be diligent in obeying the message G3D has revealed. Those who know His Will and consciously chose to ignore and disobey Him will be punished more harshly than one who is ignorant.

While G3D desires to shower us overwhelmingly with constant and greater blessings, we must remember that these rights and rewards carry new and heavier responsibilities as well. Whether new knowledge, greater gifts, higher positions or power, it must all be used for His Glory and Honor. Doing so will continue a virtuous cycle of even more Grace from Heaven. Failure to do so, will result in a loving Father’s Discipline.

Prophetic Prayer-Blessings for Obedience

The nation’s current state has made more people realize that the economic growth, political ceasefire, and cultural stability we took for granted stemmed from something outside our control. While we ache for these lost luxuries, G3D provides something far greater to those who continue to choose to serve Him during this storm.

Whenever many people think of the blessings G3D sends to those who are obedient to Him, they tend to focus on those that they can experience and enjoy during either time on earth. They focus on the financial success and security from their jobs and businesses, the peace and stability of safe neighborhoods, at country not at war with its neighbors or with its own citizens (ref. Leviticus26: 3-10).

But there are far greater rewards and blessings that G3D showers upon His People who Obey His Word and Abide in His Will.

Before Christ ascended to Heaven, He told His Disciples that G3D would send the Holy Spirit in His Name. He would teach them all things, help them remember what Christ had taught them, serve as their Helper, Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor, and Counselor (ref John 14:26). But the Holy Spirit who helps, strengthens and empowers us, is given by G3D “to those who obey Him” (Acts 5:32).

PMT stresses the importance to Pray, Hear, & Obey, and it has been a lifelong mission of Prophet Kent Simpson, to help others learn to be able to hear G3D through prophetic prayer. G3D sends some of His most profound Messages through His Prophets, so whether you hear the Voice of G3D directly or through one of His Messengers, you must not forget to fulfill the final, and most important part: Obeying.

The author of Romans clears this up succinctly when they remind audiences that “it is not the hearers of the Law who are just before G3D, but the doers of the Law will be justified” (Romans 2:13).

Many wonder and ask why their prayers aren’t heard or answered while living life contrary to G3D’s Word. This was a principle that even the common man understood in the First Century. When the blind man whom Christ had healed was challenged about his miracle and asked how Jesus, whom they accused of being a sinner, healed him, he responded “Now we know that G3D does not hear sinners, but if any man worship G3D, and does His Will, G3D hears him” (ref. John 9:31).

Christ’s famous quote that “If you remain in Me and My Words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you,” (ref John 15:7) was repeated by Him multiple times (Matthew 18:19, 21:22; Mark 11:24, John 14:13) before He ascended to Heaven. But His Words rang true, and were confirmed again later by the First Century Christians who experienced that “whatever [they asked], [they] received from Him because [they] kept His Commandments and did what pleased Him” (ref. 1 John 3:22) and they had the confidence “that if [they] asked anything according to His Will, G3D heard [them]” (ref. 1 John 5:15).

While are there indeed material rewards in this life for Obedience to G3D, the greater gifts come through the spiritual realm.

G3D sends the Holy Spirit to those who are obedient to Him, and through Him we are strengthened, taught all things we need to know to accomplish our ministry’s missions, and comforted during Life’s tough moments. This Spiritual Helper makes it possible for us to be able to undertake anything that G3D has entrusted to us. And those who are obedient to Him will have their cries and their prayers heard, due to their earnest hearts and justified actions. We will receive whatever we ask for to aid us in accomplishing His Will.

While the World will eventually recover from its current instability and create a new sense of normalcy, the things of this World are temporary at best. During these difficult moments, G3D tests our Faith and sees who not only truly trusts Him, but remains loyal and continues to serve Him. Prove your obedience, and He will send you a mighty Helper in the Holy Spirit, hear your prayers, and provide you with anything you need to accomplish His Will. The gifts are greater than anything the World could ever offer.
