The Prophet’s Mantel is Expanding

Over the past year and three months I have been experiencing major changes in the way I prepare and deliver personal prophesies. The most significant change is in the manner of the delivery of His prophetic word. It has taken me months to understand why He is making this change in the way I now prophesy. For more than twenty years I have ministered primarily only one way and it has been consistent for more than 200,000 prophesies that I have sent out.

Most of you who are reading this article have received at least one prophetic word from this ministry. If you have been with me for more than fifteen months you will notice that a change has been slowly taking place in the way I have been delivering His Word to you. Not in the format of delivery but in the difference in what is being said and in what changes it has made in you.

The very first thing that He started changing shocked me and I entertained the thoughts that my mind was locking up or giving up; I just did not understand. You see for years I have sat down at my recording desk five or six days a week with 10 or 12 prophecy requests each day recording each word as His word came to me with all its variations of feelings and emotions. I picked up all kinds of things while in the Spirit that were like hints to what was going on in that person’s life. Then I would obtain a glimpse of what changes I could see that would come later into their life. From time to time I would have someone that was being prepared for ministry, whether they had planned on it or not, and prophesied their spiritual gift and calling into their life (I Timothy 4:14). However, this might only occur one or two times each year.

Along the way our Lord began to remind me about things He had taught me years ago. These teaching of His were on topics such as “The Skipping Stone” that I shared in last week’s newsletter; go back, it is worth a second glance. At the time He was refreshing my memory about all these prophetic encounters we have had over the years. I had no idea what He was prepping me for, or what I would be doing different in the next phase of my calling.

The Day Everything began to Change for You

On January 27, 2013, I sat down at my recording desk and began to seek our Lord for His prophetic word. As I started the recording I knew this was one of those times when He was having me prophesy this person’s calling and spiritual gift to establish them into the ministry. This prophecy would be a huge part of their destiny and I could not wait to send it out. Then I started on the next prophecy request and this is when I began questioning myself. Almost the exact word and impartation was coming out of me and I knew that it was straight from the throne of God. But I still had to ask; “what is going on Lord?” I even told Him that I don’t think this is right and questioned Him again and again. The next prophecy was back to the way I have always received them and I felt like I should not even send out the two that were alike. However, right after I had this thought, His stern warning came in strongly advising me not to hinder the delivery of His prophetic word and impartation.

I begin to plead with our Lord asking Him; “Why are you making these changes? Why is this happening?”

Preparing Us for the Journey

Several months later, after a few more of these prophetic encounters, I began to understand what He was doing. Change is not always easy for us to adapt to, and at that point I did not know how to explain this to His people. I only had a few answers from Him, but not near enough to make any real statement about it. Like in most prophetic encounters, it’s not until after everything has manifested that you really know what God is doing. Our Lord is not required to tell me all the reasons why He has decided to change things; He just expects me to follow Him even when I do not know where we are headed.

Preparation for Spiritual Armageddon

It’s all about being at the right place at the right time in order to be one step ahead of the enemy. There is no one answer to what you need to do when the lid blows off the economy and a world war has begun. If you choose to take in as much of the prophet’s mantel as possible, you will have the ability to know where to take your friends and family when the time comes. Your daily routine will be seeking our Lord for answers in order to know what to do next. Where to be and where to go and how to get there will be the menu for the day. He will be there to speak to you. However, as I have said over and over again, it’s not enough to hear Him. You must also know what He means. Therefore, the more you learn about His ways now the better things will be for you all the way around- whether in good times or bad. I cannot stress how much more you can gain out of this life if you are willing to learn His ways and His thoughts. I do not know anyone who can live the abundant life Jesus promised us if they are not willing to follow Him.

Thank you for taking that time out to seek the Lord for me. The word I received from the Lord through you was very, very, very powerful word and it shed a lot of light on what the Lord and how the Lord will be using me in ministry. Baptism by FIRE;

This is precisely what I posted last week on Facebook about what God had been speaking to me about me. I was at Walmart and saw the side binder view of The Hunger Games sequel “Catching Fire” and the name of the author Collins with an arrow on fire! As soon as I saw it, my spirit jumped or was quickened to know that God was telling me something. You just confirmed what I already knew about what God is going to do.

I love it! He had also been telling me that He was making me into his polished arrow…..from Isaiah. It’s exciting times. I have been experiencing the beginnings of ministry to those I come in contact with. I receive, expect, and wait patiently on my Lord!

I have known for years that my spiritual gifting are in the leadership and prophetic (encouraging) areas. What is Prophetic Counseling?

There is a difference between receiving Prophetic Counseling vs. Personal Prophecy.

When giving prophetic guidance and counseling it helps to know more about the person. The difference is when you receive a prophetic word from God He is telling you what He wants to say. When I am ministering in prophetic counseling He is giving me answers to what you need to know and what to do in order to receive the results you are looking for. When emailing or visiting over the phone most of the time God gives me the answers within seconds, if they are warranted questions. My understanding of this scripture below is different than what the Word of Faith movement taught me:
Matthew 18:20
“For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”
Anytime I am with someone or chatting via email or other ways I am listening to what God has to say. The is a totally different understanding of this verse rather than what Word of Faith has been teaching over the years; “Whatever we agree upon it will come to pass” one major flaw is the one person left out of this formula, GOD!

The partnership level between being a Prophecy Partner and that of being a Family Partner are different and one does not automatically cover the requested offering for the other.

In the past, I spent much of my time traveling to other countries, but ministering in distant places left me drained. I have decided to hang up my traveling shoes and focus upon those families who regularly support this ministry. Receiving Your Personal Prophecy

Though a prophet may receive a monetary blessing when giving a person a word from God, he is not to be mistaken for a hireling. A prophet who is a hireling will give a false prophecy at the request of his financial provider for monetary gain.

In contrast to these false prophets, there are men of God who desire to only speak God’s words and to reveal God’s plans for the people. These men receive their spiritual blessing from God and their financial blessing from God’ people.

Old Testament Times

In the Old Testament we find that the Lord commanded Samuel, a prophet of God, to prophesy over a young man who would be coming his way around lunchtime. The Lord indicated that this young man’s name was Saul and he would be looking for his father’s lost donkeys.
As Saul and his servant wandered around looking for the lost donkeys, the servant spoke up and said, “Look now, there is in this city a man of God, and he is an honorable man; all that he says surely comes to pass. So let us go there; perhaps he can show us the way that we should go.”
I Samuel 9:6
Today’s Spiritual Guidance

As it was in the Old Testament it is today; it is not evil to seek a prophet for spiritual guidance or direction from God.
Then Saul said to his servant, “But look, if we go, WHAT SHALL WE BRING THE MAN? For the bread in our vessels is all gone, and there is not a present to bring to the man of God. What do we have?”
I Samuel 9:7
Then Saul’s servant said, “Look, I have here at hand one fourth of a shekel of silver. I will give that to the man of God, to tell us our way.”

In this and other scriptures throughout the Bible, God has shown us that we must support his prophets. These men of old had conviction that they must bless the prophet, Samuel, for his intercession. God wants His people to be cheerful in giving.
“But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.”

His Skipping Stone

At times His prophetic word can be like a flat stone and, when delivered, it skips across the sea of people touching one after another. The word below is just that, a “Skipping Stone.” Whomever it touches it will ignite their spirit, letting them know they have a part in this vision. Our Heavenly Father is sending His baptism of fire to the multitude of brothers and sisters in His Church that are presently doubtful or ignorant of the fact that His Powers still exist today.

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever” (Hebrews 13:8).

(This past week, fourteen people from seven nations received a direct personal prophecy pertaining to their part in the vision “Baptism by Fire”.)

Baptism of Fire

“Then Paul said, ‘John indeed baptized with a baptism of repentance, saying to the people that they should believe on Him who would come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.’ When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. And when Paul had laid hands on them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they spoke with tongues and PROPHESIED” (Acts 19:4-6).

Our Lord is saying, “I desire to take you to new heights and give unto you the power to overcome your flesh by walking in a deeper measure of My Spirit. Therefore, the former things you have experienced will not compare to that which I will begin to bring you through. You once walked by your own free will, like that of a child, but I will now bring you to a new level of maturity in the Spirit. It will be so strong at times you will make ‘brand name preachers’ sound like Sunday school teachers.

Many people will not understand you or your visions, for they will not have traveled where I will soon take you. Many have been baptized in water and many have proclaimed to have received My Holy Spirit; however, the proof will come through those who have truly received My baptism not by what they say, but by what they do.

This world desires to become a place that is cold, controlled and harsh. However, I have a remnant of people who have not bowed their knee unto this evil. You see in the spirit what has been going on behind their chamber walls. You have heard of their plans to stop My kingdom on earth from growing any further. But I say unto you they shall not succeed. I will send My power like a laser of life; it will burn out the sins from My people and send them out to reclaim all that has been covered in sin, washing them in the power of My word, and baptizing them in My fire, purging them from their sins.”

The Blazing Alter

“No matter what they say, the day is coming when I will call upon you and many others around the globe to begin stacking logs. Once the logs are stacked wide and tall, I will have one of My earth-moving men of faith come through with a big shovel. He will dig a draw around the logs as he prays the prayer of faith. This place shall become a blazing alter that will be a sign unto My people. My Holy Scriptures will be read as thousands of gallons of water are poured upon the wooden logs until the draw is full. Thousands of people will come from far and near who will hear the reading of My Word and your visions.

Around the draw that stands full of water will be Elders and Shepherds by the hundreds that will begin to call out unto the lost, ‘come into the water to be saved.’ There, they will be baptized and cleansed of their sins by the washing of the water and the reading of My Word.

Then, My Spirit will descend upon you and the prophets who have gathered. They shall begin to prophesy over each and every one who comes out of the baptismal, cleansed of their sins. You as well as others will begin to prophesy unto the multitude as angels appear ascending and descending, delivering My spiritual gifts and callings. As your hands are laid upon them I will show you what they will do in My name.

This will be the start of a movement in My Spirit. For when all the prophets have finished imparting gifts and prophesying you will command them to bow to the ground and begin to pray. As you and they pray with the wood still dripping wet, I will send fire down from heaven- igniting the wood. While the wet wood wildly burns the flames will stretch far, licking up all the water from the draw burning up all the sins within. I will sweep them far away, never to be remembered again.”

“I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire” (Mathew 3:11).

Vision for His Church

No matter how many laws try to stop the vision, it will pass victoriously. Many wise Men in My Church will grumble and complain. The logs are the symbol of how wet and wrong they can be at times. In the end they will see that I have set My Church on fire with supernatural powers by the laying on of your hands. Signs and wonders will cause them to believe that I have sent you to Set My Church Free. So be it; AMEN!

Brian was looking more to visit with you just a little bit, touch bases with you regarding holding a meeting in Mansfield area. We are looking to push into this area (open a church) and would like to have the opportunity to share you (gift of God) with others. You are sorely busy already we know. If you no longer do conferences or small groups certainly will understand, but do not know many prophets and trust very few who call themselves prophets. You, however, are trusted even proven ground.

My heart is that people hear a true and trusted prophet because hearing what the LORD has to say is important. You are a precious gift! We (I) have no intent to use, or abuse, such a precious treasure God provides in His servants. Yet, my heart desires that others be touched – strongholds torn down, and His Spirit filled/re-filled that Hope be restored to those He has called to be received as Children of God. However, as my ordination papers came from your hand I pass your name and information to others all the time and hope a visit is possible.

(We’ve not been in touch for too many years, and yet, I thank the LORD for you, my friend. I’ve peeked in on your site from time to time, but never any more than that. When I moved to Texas in 2002 it was to do ministry with PMT – so I thought -but that ‘dream’ fell apart before it even got a start. Then, just before I met Brian (a promise from 1988) my moving here seemed like a very foolish mistake, worse, looked as if it had ended in doing harm to you – yet Got! Higher Levels, Bigger Devils

Being advanced to a higher position in the kingdom of heaven is cause to celebrate. But, before you start sending out invitations there are a few things you need to know. First of all, your advancement to this new higher level makes Satan mad and there are always those from the dark side who are not at all excited about your newfound promotion. In fact, you can “take it to the bank”, the prince of darkness will challenge you to see if he can scare you into agreeing and turn bowing to him. Satan, being the liar he is, will try everything to convince you that God is not your friend at the same time he will turn loose the tormentors into your life. While the mental battle with the Prince of darkness is going on another battle is taking place in the heavens and this war is between the angels from heaven and the demons from the pit of hell. Warring over your soul, the demons are fighting back the angels of God, who deliver God’s blessing to you.

Jesus was also tempted in the beginning of His ministry. Satan came testing Him, quoting a verse from Psalms 91, challenging Him with the written word of God. There are times Satan will use verses from the Holy Bible like a sword to destroy you and to put fear into your mind. This is when you need to find yourself learning how to lean upon the Holy Spirit, who will rightly divide the word of truth, for the Holy Spirit teaches you truth for all situations.

Satan tested Jesus using Psalms 91:12;

“If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down. For it is written, ‘He shall give His angels charge over you,’ and, ‘In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone'” (Matthew 4:5,6).

Jesus replied to Satan in the Spirit of truth, Jesus said, “It is written again, ‘You shall not tempt the Lord your God” (Matthew 4:7).

Seems that each time God sends His blessing or a breakthrough Satan tries to keep you from receiving it. He turns your life upside down and you wonder what is happening. If you can avoid following your flesh throughout this test you will discover the fight was well worth it. Your newly appointed angel will step into your life and begin to fight for you, giving you a new powerful blessing with a new and fresh anointing from Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior.

This angel, sent from heaven above, is there to help not only you fight this battle but also empower you giving you the ability to complete the new commission that God set before you.

Rewards Come to Overcomers;

According to Hebrews 1:14 which states, “Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation?” Each time a new angel is to minister for you, a spiritual gift from the Holy Spirit is imparted unto you.

Your newly appointed angel will begin to instruct you on how the gift is to be administered and when it is needed. This process can take some time, but it is very simple to learn once you know what to look for.

Some mistakenly believe they must make the spiritual gift work for them by using their human powers. These efforts will fail and leave you frustrated and confused. You may even doubt you ever had the gift in the first place. This is where most people misunderstand. They think the problem must be very complex, and they go to great extremes in search of their answer.

The answer, however, is very easy to find; the answer resides within the verse of scripture we are studying, Hebrews 1:14, “Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to MINISTER FOR those who will inherit salvation?”

What is the ministering spirit sent to do? He is sent to MINISTER FOR YOU, not to you or through you but FOR YOU! Have you not inherited salvation? Then you should not have any trouble when ministering in the power of the Holy Spirit because the angel who He sent to you is going to perform the works with your spiritual gift FOR YOU.

Brand This into Your Soul;

Now, this part you will need to get branded in your soul: the one thing you need to know is how to recognize the anointing that the angel brings from Christ Jesus, the Anointed One. He continues to minister here on earth through His body. We are the body of Christ. Recognizing the anointing of the angel is very important. This is how you know if you are ministering in more than one spiritual gift or a different angel with a different anointing. Each angel carries a different anointing that will affect you and everyone around you differently than the other angels.

Different Angels, Different Anointings;

It is quite common to experience a shift in your midst while ministering in a congregation or preparing a word or prayer for someone on your home computer. I am speaking about how to use your spiritual senses- being aware of your surrounding and how they can change. When the presence of the appointed angel is near you, you will feel him standing next to you letting you know he is ready to minister for you. Now the angel needs you as much as you need him in order to effectively minister in the power of the gift of the Holy Spirit. And this is where we can become a problem hindering the angel from ministering for you.

We have a tendency to think that we are doing it all by ourselves. This creates a problem. What you need to do is listen with your spirit and be very sensitive to what the angel needs you to do. Do you remember how Jesus ministered when He was on earth as a man? He sometimes would spit in the person’s face, or put mud in their eyes or just tell them to go and they would be healed. All these things Jesus did were what His Father sent the angel to tell Him what to do and it always worked. Even in the Old Testament we read where the men and women God were moved by the anointing of His angels who performed many miracles.

Devil Watch Out – The Secret is Out;

Many people today are beginning to realize that each time a spiritual gift is given to us an angel is also appointed to us to minister in this gift for us. As stated in our study scripture, Hebrews 1:14. Once you have this Scripture from the book of Hebrews burned into your soul (your mind will emotions) you begin to realize it is not you who makes the gift manifest – it is the angel that has been appointed to you to minister in the spiritual gift for you that does the working of miracles. This also gives us a better understanding and helps answer this age old question. How are we going to do more works than Jesus, which He said we would?

“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father (John 14:12).

Can you see how fast the world could be changed if we all were moving in the power of the Holy Spirit with His Angels ministering for us in His powerful anointing, the anointing of our Lord and Savior, JESUS?

“But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him” (1 John 2:27).

Dear Prophet Kent,

I recently received my prophetic word from you (2/12/14) and was completely amazed at how much it contained, and on so many levels. It quite frankly “blew me away”! I have always been drawn to the prophetic but have never thought I had any gifting in that area. My older sister has frequent words and visions so I’ve been directly affected and blessed by The Lord through her. No one else in our family has that anointing nor did the churches we grew up in teach those things. I asked The Lord into my heart many years ago but have never felt I had my own testimony or experience in the supernatural or really hearing God or Holy Spirit. I’ve been on a quest the past few years reading books, (and Elijah List) listening to pastors, attending conferences and still no real breakthrough for me.

I am so hopeful after hearing your word for me as it includes seeing the future and speaking words that would affect angels, and even The Lord doing signs and wonders through me someday, if I allow Him to manipulate me! I’m so inspired and excited, though I know it will be a long journey ahead! (As your word said) I would like to know if there are any specific things you see for me to pursue right now.

Something Big is Coming

This week, like every week, I was seeking God for His Word. As I began to record each prophecy request, one prophecy really stood out. All of His Words are wonderful; however, this word carried a very strong anointing as if something was shifting into a higher level of expectation. There was a fragrance from the knowledge of Christ that was to be imparted into many more of His people rather than just this one person. So, if this prophecy grabs you then claim it for yourself in the name of JESUS.

After speaking this word into the recorder our Lord changed something in me too, and I just know in my ‘KNOWER’ there is more of His corporate words coming to empower His people by the masses. The devil is in trouble and he knows it!

“By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.” (Hebrews 11:3)

A part of your spiritual DNA screams out with the godly structure for the making of supernatural signs and wonders. The creative abilities that will come through you will re-shape the way people think; therefore changing what people will do.

Even now as you witness the buildup of the ungodly you will be a part of God’s plan to loose into the human spirit a new way of coexisting with those of other faiths and beliefs. You are one of the history makers that will shake the heavens and earth. As you move forward with the Holy Spirit you will learn to lean upon His supernatural faith. As our Father in heaven begins to impart His Word into your life; the gifts of the Holy Spirit will empower you to fulfill what He has called you to do.

With each word He gives you to deliver, you will be given the eye of the great archer pulling by faith his spiritual bow making your mark with each prophecy that you send into the unknown. As our Lord begins to fill your quiver with many arrows you will be

cautioned that each one represents His word as He prepares you for spiritual battle. You shall not ever draw your bow until you are told to do so. For the Holy Spirit will make sure your target is clear and then He will whisper in your ear, giving you the timing and assurance that not one word shall touch the ground until it has accomplished its fervor. Like a magnet drawing the head of its spear the arrow will rush through the maze of this life miraculously hitting its mark every time. Like a guide post it will become one of life’s chapters in history that will shake the heavens and earth leaving behind only memories of what earth used to be like for all later to know. You are the blessed Archer of God’s Word; for His bow and quiver will never leave your side.

Dear Kent,

I thank the Lord for your precious prayers for my aunt Johanna. I visit with my wife her in hospital and we prayed first a healing prayer for her collapsed kidneys. Then I asked her: Does she want to have her sins to be forgiven. She answered yes. So I declared all her sins to be forgiven in Jesus name and blood. I did this twice to make sure. Because Jesus said in JOHN 20:23a. “If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them;” (NKJV) and in MATTHEW 18:18b “whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”(NKJV) and (JER) 1:12b “for I am watching over my word to perform it.” (KJV)

Now the Lord has intervened by giving her more lifetime because her kidneys have started to function at least partly and liquid has started to circulate through her kidneys and veins. Could you still pray again so that Johanna´s salvation will become clear and evident to everyone and especially to her sons and daughter because her children are all very negative toward Jesus and faith issues except daughter Anni? Because they visit Johanna almost every day therefore I with my wife have succeeded to visit Johanna in hospital only once. Could you also pray so that the Lord heals completely her kidneys for His glory and removes all swelling from her body? Because Jesus Himself prayed again for the blind man who at first saw people like trees and Jesus pray again and he saw clearly. Please pray also for her because she has suffered from digestive problems.

Why We Need Prophetic Elders

There is a real cry going forth for leaders who will give guidance, direction, hope and God’s love – in particularly in the area of the prophetic. Although there are prophets who are functioning within prophetic organizations and networks, many would agree that there are thousands (if not millions) of prophetic people who have no accountability or someone they can turn to when they need guidance. That is why the Body of Christ desperately needs prophetic elders – leaders who will love, embrace, mentor, support, and train prophetic people so that they can be developed and be commissioned into the fullness of what Christ Jesus has called them to walk in.

The Body of Christ Needs Prophetic Elders

The term “elder” has almost become passé. We very seldom hear the word elder anymore, yet the scriptures give great mention to elders. In the book of Acts it mentions the word elder 19 times! One example of how prophets and prophetic elders function together is in Acts 11. Agabus prophesied that a severe famine was coming. The believers that heard this word sent their money to the elders of the church by way of the Apostle Paul and Barnabas (Acts 11:27-30). The elders were functioning as storekeepers – literally and physically – over the prophetic word that Agabus released. I am sure that these elders also judged this word and tested it by the spirit to see if it bore witness with the Holy Spirit. When judging prophecy the Bible states that all prophecy should be judged by prophets. (Ref. I Corn. 14:29).

Prophetic Elders Judge Prophecy

Where are the prophetic elders and spiritual people today who will judge a prophetic word and then be accountable to seeing that the word is released to the Body of Christ? Arguably, out of all ministries, the prophetic ministry might be the most scrutinized – and perhaps it should be. When an individual speaks to a congregation, group of people, or even to another individual and says “thus saith the Lord” or “In the name of Jesus” serious implications follow because these words are a representation of what the Father is saying. Prophetic elders are responsible for judging prophetic words.

Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge. If any thing be revealed to another that sitteth by, let the first hold his peace. For ye may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted. Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge. And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets (I Corn. 14:29-32).

When Apostle Paul wrote these words he was trying to establish prophetic protocol within the church of Corinth. These scriptures indicate that all prophecy should be judged. True prophetic people who have a heart towards God want their words judged because they do not want to utter anything presumptuously or out of the flesh. As a prophet, I have no qualms about having my prophetic words judged by seasoned prophets (prophetic elders) because my main desire is to speak only what the Lord says. In the event a prophetic elder happens to find something I have prophesied to be inaccurate I am not upset. Rather, I rejoice because I realize these are opportunities for me to go back to the Lord and be given counsel from Him on where I missed it. “Missing it” experiences in the prophetic are opportunities for our humility to grow. Actually, many times our prophetic ability grows during these “missed it” experiences because as we are humbled the Lord gives us more grace (James 4:6; I Peter 5:5). Prophetic elders play a major role in the judging of prophecy because they can comfort the prophet or prophetic person who has spoken a word presumptuously or out of season. Prophetic elders are those people who restore prophets and help them get back on the right path.

Prophetic Elders Settle Disputes

Another purpose of prophetic elders is to settle disputes within the Body of Christ – particularly as it relates to prophetic issues. In Acts 15, there arose a heated argument among believers concerning whether or not it was necessary for Gentiles to be circumcised in order to be saved. In order to settle this argument, Paul, Barnabas and some other believers were appointed to go visit with the elders to settle the dispute (Acts 15:1-2). I remember a big debate that existed during the 1990’s among two charismatic camps. The debate was about whether or not prophets and prophetic people could prophesy at will? Or do prophets and prophetic people need a special anointing to prophesy? At the very crux of this argument was this question: Is the prophetic gift given and then taken back as the Holy Spirit desires? Or does the prophetic gift remain in us the same way a pastoral or teaching gift remains in those that function in these gifts? (For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. Romans 11:29) This argument proved to be very contentious among the two camps. Perhaps if there had been prophetic elders that people could go to and discuss this issue, these groups may have come to some type of common ground.

Prophetic Elders Release People into Their Spiritual Gifts

Finally, Prophetic Elders release people into their God given gifts. In I Timothy 4:14 and II Timothy 1:6 we see that the elders played a crucial part in releasing Timothy into his ministry. Apostle Paul states:

Do not neglect your gift, which was given you through prophecy when the body of elders laid their hands on you (I Timothy 4:14).

Although the doctrine of gift impartation and activation is considered to be somewhat controversial, we see that it was quite common for the elders of the church to lay hands on people, prophesy over them, and impart and activate gifts. I Timothy 4:14 makes it quite clear that prior to the laying-on-of hands by the elders Timothy was not functioning in a gift that he received after the elders laid hands on him. This is not an isolated mention of gift impartation. The Apostle Paul mentions grace gift impartations in several New Testament scriptures (see also II Timothy 1:5; Romans 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 2:8).

Where are the prophetic elders today? Where are the elders who judge prophetic words, settle disputes, and ensure that the prophetic word is heeded and responded to? Where are the prophetic elders who activate and release people into their spiritual gifts and 5-fold ascension gift ministries? (Ref. Eph 4:11) By-no-means am I saying that no one is currently performing the functions of prophetic eldership. There are many organizations, ministries, and local churches that are prophesying, judging prophetic words, and activating people into their spiritual gifts. But, because of the scrutiny of prophecy, it is very difficult for prophets in training and prophetic people to learn how to prophesy. With the current structure of most churches, where is there an outlet whereby people can “practice” using their gifts?

But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use (practice) have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil (Hebrews 5:14, )

There must be leadership (prophetic elders) who will allow prophetic people, 5-fold ministers, and even the laity to practice using their gifts so that they gain mastery in order to edify the Body of Christ and help her come to full maturity.

Prophetic Elders Serving God’s People

There is a real need for Elders who will give guidance, direction and hope to people. That is why God has sent Prophetic Elders to us who judge spiritual things that natural men do not understand.

“But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.” (1 Corinthians 2:14)

These are qualities to look for in them. The Elders have compassion and love in their hearts, as they share the message that God gives them for individuals or groups. They prophesy and teach through real-life experiences, (often from stories they’ve learned in the school of hard knocks) so that others can relate and not have to go through the same difficult things, saving much heartache.

“Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted.” (Galatians 6:1)

A Spiritual Elder is like a shepherd that wants the best for the sheep. It can be a man or woman that really cares for the sheep that are scattered all over the world! Now through the Internet, there is a call going out to the lost in many countries. People who are hurting, or need a word of encouragement or counsel, have found an avenue that will bring them the Good News of the Gospel. It’s an opportunity to call the lost to come to God, so they can have a personal relationship with our Heavenly Father.

Glory Only in the Lord

“Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men. For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called. But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty;” (1 Corinthians 1:25-27)

Spiritual Elders desire to see people reach their full God-given potential, and fulfill their destiny. (It is not always what people think!) It is truly powerful to receive a word that is backed up by the voice of the Holy Spirit speaking through an Elder, who can give the necessary guidance for the next section of the journey of life, or speak far into the future, or both. Things can change from hopeless to hopeful as words of encouragement are spoken and received into a person’s spirit. (Just so you know, the ‘head’ doesn’t always get it at first–an Elder’s word may take years to unfold and be understood). They feed the children of God, and challenge them to keep moving ahead in their faith. If there is a word of correction, it is done with love, not condemnation. If that correction is taken without offence (because of wanting God’s best as the end result), there can be incredible breakthroughs.

“For I long to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift, so that you may be established- that is, that I may be encouraged together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me.” (Romans 1:11 & 12)

Often a word of confirmation, or direction for the years ahead, can give you strength, expand your horizons, or challenge you to be more than you ever thought possible. It can change the way you see the future, or help with something that you are dealing with today.

“These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual.” (1 Corinthians 2:13)

Prophetic Elders love the people they care for. They go the extra mile, take risks, often going without sleep in order to hear from God for the ones who ask for wisdom and revelation. There is a high cost to being a Prophetic Elder, but the rewards for all concerned will outweigh the hard work-for all eternity.

“He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward. And he who receives a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward.” (Matthew 10:41)

This is a Kingdom responsibility. We need those that are willing to speak the words of the Holy Spirit to the world.

“How long must I endure the silence of My prophets, says the Lord our God.”

In this and other scriptures throughout the Bible, God has shown us that we must support his prophets. These men of old had conviction that they must bless the prophet, Samuel, for his intercession. God wants His people to be cheerful in giving.
“But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.”
II Corinthians 9:6,7

The Prophetic Sign I Will Never Forget

A mysterious and strange spirit came to me when I was only 9 years old which led me on a lifelong quest for answers. My sister and I had been staying with my grandmother in West Texas. She had invited my 2-year-old sister and me to come stay with her for 2 weeks during the hot, dry month of June 1961. Our parents needed to spend some time together just the two of them, so our loving Grandmother Simpson willingly obliged to have us stay with her. She was so blessed to entertain, or should I say spoil, us with anything and everything we asked for. Having been a widow for many years, she craved to have company, especially her grandchildren. Each day was well planned with all kinds of activities; no grass was going to grow under our feet while we were in her care.

The 2 weeks passed quickly, and the time came for our parents to pick up my sister and me. It was around 7:00 in the evening when the telephone rang. My dad was calling to tell Grandma they were coming to pick us up. This required a 60-mile trip for our parents. While Grandma continued to visit with my dad a light rain began to fall. Rain in West Texas is rare; in fact, the average annual rainfall is 19.53 inches (www.usclimatedata.com).

This rain was not only a rare sight, but it brought with it a very strange sensation; it made me feel sad and uncomfortable. All of a sudden a strong impression came upon me and forced me to yield to an urgent message. When I stopped my mind from racing, a voice very clearly said, “There is going to be an accident and it will be fatal.” I immediately began to interrupt my Grandma as she tried to talk to my parents. She kept pushing me away, but I persisted in begging her to let me talk to them. When she hung up the phone I asked her, “Grandmother, why did you not let me talk to them?” She responded, “They will be here in about hour.” With tears in my eyes I said, “No they won’t, they’re going to have a wreck.” Grandmother did not take me seriously. I’m sure she just thought I didn’t want to go home or that I was just tired. But I knew what I heard; the wreck was going to leave me without parents.

I began to pace around the house pleading with God not to let them die. At one point I became exhausted and I leaned forward, placing my head upon my forearm that was pressed up against the inside of the front door. Suddenly, I remembered reading in the Bible that men of God would envision things they wanted to happen as they prayed and God would honor their prayers, so I started praying and entreating God as I envisioned within my mind my parents just running off the road and no one getting hurt, but I was already too late.

About 20 minutes later, my dad’s four brothers came walking into the house. Their faces looked very strained and none of them would look directly at me. One of my uncles sat down by the telephone and just stared at it. Eventually, he called the hospital. He was trying to find out where my parents were located, or at least that is what I thought was happening. Supposedly, he was speaking with the hospital receptionist, repeating everything she was saying so everyone could hear. Then he tearfully said, “So the wife was killed but the husband lived and is in shock?” My dad’s youngest brother was standing behind me throughout the phone call with his hands placed firmly on my shoulders. As soon as my uncle repeated the condition of my parents I broke down crying. My 2-year-old sister turned and began trying to console me. I kept telling her as tears were streaming down my face, “You don’t understand. You’re too young to know what is going on.”

Looking back at what I have learned:

I realized much later that my uncle pretended to be calling the hospital because none of my uncles could bear telling me to my face what had happened. There is really no good way to break bad news.

A couple of years passed and I finally got up the nerve to ask my grandmother if she remembered me pleading with her while she was on the phone with my parents, if she recalled that I told her they were going to have a wreck. She was washing dishes while looking out the window when she answered me. Without turning toward me she said, “Yes I remember.” Then she asked me, “How did you know they were going to have a wreck?” I told her I didn’t know as I walked away. The way she said it made me feel as if something was wrong with me, like I was not normal.

One of my mother’s brothers helped me understand from which side of my family the prophetic gift has been passed down from generation to generation. While my sister and I were with our grandmother, my mother’s oldest brother was enjoying a summer vacation with his family in Colorado. Years later, while telling me his story, he indicated that he too had a revelation about my mother’s death. He said he suddenly experienced a great urge to pack up everything and head back home to Texas. He knew in his spirit that something was wrong with his baby sister. They still had a few days of fun scheduled, but he knew they had to go. Early the next morning, they packed up their gear and started the long trip home. When they came upon the Texas border, the Highway Patrol was slowing everyone down and pulling over a few cars. When he approached the roadblock, they motioned for him to pull over and a patrolman asked my uncle for his driver’s license. Once the officer knew who my uncle was, he told him about the accident that had taken my mother’s life. Another patrolman was ordered to escort them the rest of the way home.

This too I find interesting: as far back as I can remember my mother would tell me that I would die when I turned 27 years old. It didn’t bother me when she did. I was really too young to give it much thought, but I did not forget it. I guess she had a vision that she would lose me at 27. Her interpretation turned out to be partly correct; you see, she was 27 at the time of the wreck. Her words haunted me for many years later, until my 27th birthday had passed. I didn’t think about it too much after that birthday, but I learned a lot from this sad experience.

From that point on, I searched to find out how I knew in advance that my mother and father were going to be involved in a fatal accident. Why did the rain bring such an awful feeling, like it was speaking a disturbing truth to me? Where was the voice coming from, and who was it? Was it God or Satan? Could it have been an angel or maybe a demon? Why did the impression come so strongly, to the point I felt there was no way I could stop it? Throughout my teenage years I would learn about all kinds of spiritual methods, teachings on how a person can know of things to come, but nothing sounded quite right.

It wasn’t until years later, when I was baptized in the Holy Spirit, that the great teacher revealed to me how we sometimes know of things to come.

“However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.” (John 16:13).

The most important thing I have learned:

It is not enough to hear the voice of God; you must know what He means.

Furthermore, it takes many years to develop the knowledge and understanding of the spiritual gifts of the Holy Spirit. For this reason I encourage those who believe they may have a spiritual gift to find someone with the same gifting and calling and not leave their side. Your teachings help restore my trust for God. I love your boldness for God’s word you receive. You said, when God speaks we need not to help him rather he will fulfill his word at the appointed time also if God really speaks, it will come to pass. “Many of us have become very comfortable soaking in prayer along the river’s banks. However, I believe a few can hear in the distance an alarming roar within this spiritual river. Even God’s Generals who have been wading in the full depth of God’s anointed river sense that something is about to change. This celestial current is beginning to pull everyone in; even those who have been standing around its banks waiting for something to happen now feel its enticing force pulling them in.

“And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb” (Revelation 22:1).

“The comfort zone for all of God’s people is rapidly narrowing as every ounce of their love for God is coming under a great test. Many have already been stripped of their nest egg and their prideful life has been thrashed through the grinding wheels of the greedy. These are the very vessels of God who will find themselves in the forefront, for they have already passed a big test. They sold out their souls giving it all to Christ and committed to serve Him to their death and beyond.

“‘When I passed by you again and looked upon you, indeed your time was the time of love; so I spread My wing over you and covered your nakedness. Yes, I swore an oath to you and entered into a covenant with you, and you became Mine,’ says the Lord God” (Ezekiel 16:8).

HIS PROPHETIC WORD and MESSAGE: The Great Purge

“There is a purging coming and if you are standing in the river be prepared. For as it comes flowing from heaven to earth it will be a torrential reigning of the Lord that will turn into a monsoon bringing forth a mighty rushing river of Jesus’s love. This will stir your still brooks and cause your river to turn upside down sending you through a rage of rapids, bruising and pruning you, preparing you for what is yet ahead.

“Even though you feel you have taken a great fall as you come over the edge, the water shall take you down so that you may see what is below. You will eventually find yourself surfacing to the top again to tell others what you have seen and where you have been. They will know that you have stood in a difficult place, for the purging of the Holy Spirit will have prepared you as one whom He will use to shake heaven and earth.

“Everything that is not of God shall surely fall, but for all that is of the Lord shall deservedly stand for it will be built upon the rocks where the water falls. You will find that our Lord is going to use you mightily, but you must first come through the rapids. They are at a place of cleansing, a place with radical and mysterious ways of striping the flesh, removing every ounce of self far from you. All that will be left is I who dwells within you, saith the Lord.

“When the unbeliever sees you – they will have seen Me; causing their demons to manifest. Their words of hate will make your skin thick as the hide of a rhinoceros, but your heart shall remain gentle as a dove. For you will continually love them no matter what they do to you. For even if they were to split your back open with a cat of nine tails you will continue to sing praises to Me asking that I forgive them proclaiming they know not what they do.

“You will soon see things are about to change. You have asked for the gifts and the power and you shall have them. Although, not until first you have gone through the mighty cleansing waters that will take you over the edge, lowering you to the abyss, and bring you back up again.

“From this cup you shall drink, and from this cup you shall receive that which I give unto you. But you must first go through this process before you will ever receive the promise. My promise unto the people is this; once you have the power I will trust you with what you have to do for those who come against you. Those who have stalked My people and viciously driven to harm My people ySpectacular rainbows at Canadian side of Niagara Fallsou will be touched with My love through your hands. There shall be others like you that will call down this consuming fire from heaven. This fire is not a fire of destruction but rather overwhelming warmth of My love releasing an incense of hope. You shall take charge and loose its saving grace upon all who are not of Me sparking a fire that will take over the earth.

“There are many who are false in the lands that come as disbelievers, warriors of Satan fueled with his hate, but they will not touch you. For you will know that God our Father has given unto you a great and mighty eye to see around the corner of tomorrow, knowing what is being planned. As they hide in their secret chambers, standing in awe before the prince of darkness they will make their plans. However, the transcending ministering spirit sent from heaven will take you into their den of deceit to bear witness to all they plan. Then you will know what to tell My people so they can thwart the enemies’ plans, so be it. Amen!”

And this we will do if God permits.” (Hebrews 6:1-3) “They said to Him, ‘We are able.’ So Jesus said to them, “You will indeed drink the cup that I drink, and with the baptism I am baptized with you will be baptized;” (Mark 10:39) “John answered, saying to all, “I indeed baptize you with water; but One mightier than I is coming, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to loose. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.His winnowing fan is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clean out His threshing floor, and gather the wheat into His barn; but the chaff He will burn with unquenchable fire.” (Luke 3:16-17)”….who can endure the day of His coming? And who can stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner’s fire and like launderers’ soap. He will sit as a refiner and a purifier of silver; He will purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer to the Lord an offering in righteousness.” (Malachi 3:2-4)

“And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.” (Luke 21:25-27)

“You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons; you cannot partake of the Lord’s table and of the table of demons. (1 Corinthians 10:21) And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” (Joshua 24:15)

Thank you SO much for my prophecy!

I am excited and encouraged beyond belief. My husband has been working in Afghanistan for 2 years, and we both have been praying that he finds a new job in Western Europe. We both feel strongly led there, as a great move of the Holy Spirit is sorely needed there. However, it has been a very intimidating prospect to pull up roots and go to a foreign country, maybe for a very long time. The past two years have been pretty brutal, from my work and losing a brother to brain cancer. With your prophetic Word, I am a lot more confident about our future, wherever it takes us. I will be asking for more Words through you as we look for direction.

I am going to print it out and use it as a study. Your words resonate in my heart as I hunger for God’s Truth. I want to proclaim His Truth and see that even correction is His Kindness as His Love is expressed in order to bring His children into alignment with Him that they may walk in the callings God has given them and take their Kingdom Positions. These positions require training. God will not send us out ill equipped. He has put great desires in my heart. I know these are His desires because I have asked Him that if they are not from Him to cleanse them out of my heart. My desire is for the world to see that Father sent Jesus and that He Loves them. It is my desire that the church be the fullness of Christ Who fills everything in all ways. It is my desire that the authorities and rulers of the spiritual realm see the wisdom of God demonstrated through His Church. It is my desire that all of this is accomplished as God’s Spirit unites His Children and the World sees Jesus manifested in His Church as His Love unites us. I have great hope in my heart and I know that God is more than able. I will not limit God and I know that He is the same God as is in the Scripture.

I have great desires of God’s purpose for me. How He, by Christ in me, will be glorified in my life. How I will more and more be the image of Christ as I am transformed into His likeness, by His ever increasing Glory. God gave me a dream and in it I sat before Him on a stool, right at His feet. His White Robe flowed around us, Him and I, and it piled up like soft clouds. The both of us were very excited. He laughed with delight at my excitement. There I sat, giddy with joy, at His feet. Our hands touching. As I sat so close I leaned toward Him and He toward me. I sat so close on my stool before Him sitting on His Throne, so close my legs touched His. He is my Father. He had a gift for me. It was as if it were my birthday! I was so happy. He has spoken to me before this about giving me the gift of knowledge and I knew that it was from Him because He had demonstrated this gift in me in very small ways already. But this was bigger than that. He was expanding my territory! So, there I sat in His Presence. Loving Him with all my heart. As He laughed with me He let me know that it wasn’t quite time for me to have the gift but to know that it was coming. Then I woke. Feeling like I had just sat with God Almighty. In my dream He did not tell me that the gift was “knowledge”. I just believed it was because of what He had already spoke into my heart and because this was the gift I seemed to desire. Over the past 3 years or so there are 3 gifts He has spoken to me. The order that He spoke them has been; prophecy, knowledge and healing. I am an intercessor and just recently He has spoken to me about giving me higher authority in my prayers as I pray the redeeming and restorative powers of Jesus’ Blood. All of these are words so foreign to where I have come from 4 years ago and even, to a large extent, foreign to where I now live and go to church. About 4 years ago God picked me up, worked me in His Hands and transformed everything about me, transformed my desires, what matters to me now is only the things that matter to God. I have seen His Big Picture. I have seen it and I believe Him at His Word. He has given me a choice of seeing what is right before my physical eyes or His Vision that I see with the eyes of my heart. For a while I carried both of these inside of me and they wrestled and caused me great heart ache. I made a choice and I chose to carry His Vision.

It would seem that when I talk to God about these gifts I feel something just not right in my spirit. It would seem that I am asking for the wrong thing. Not the wrong gift but that it goes beyond gifts. I would ask for the gift of prophesy and I would feel a thing in me (like the catching of a fish hook) and the feeling of something rising up in me like I was to ask for something higher. It was like a call to look up higher. So I would ask God for the Spirit of Prophesy. Not really knowing if the words I say are “all right”. So, when I read your word about prophesy/knowledge there was an intense resonating in my spirit. I realized that there is an “office” of prophesy. I feel the time is coming for there to be a birthing. I feel the birth pains. I was out praying as I walked and looked up into the trees for a sign from God, a confirmation about this calling I felt He had called me to. He spoke to me and said, “Don’t look so hard. Seek Me.” Ok, God I will keep my eyes on You.

I’m not sure why I am emailing you other than to thank you for this word. I thank God. Also I email because I feel so stirred that I just need to express the stirring to someone. I’m sure you receive many emails but could I ask you to say a prayer for me. I see Jesus, the Lion of Judah standing over His Church and Roaring, shaking the very foundations so all that is not of Him is shaken off. It is a huge and awesome picture of Victory. We are not to be passive. We must all recognize our part in all this. I praise God and trust that He will protect me. He knows my heart and I trust that He will not let me miss His Open Door for me. I must trust that He is more than able to Led and He knows I desire to Follow. I cannot believe that it is my imagination that I have all these Godly desires for His Name is to be Glorified. Had it not been that He pulled me out of nowhere and planted all these things inside of me I would not find it all so odd. I Love the Ways of God. These are unreasonable, unexplainable, indescribable ways of God. I praise Him.
