When you have done all you know to do then begin seeking God for His Word.

It was in the fall of 1987. I had moved to Mesquite, Texas to take a position with Church on the Rock in Rockwall. My life was being turned upside down; everything was falling apart. I could not pay my rent; the electric company sent notice they would be shutting off my lights, and I only had $10.00 to my name. I had been praying all day, seeking God for His direction. Nothing was changing, and the hour was getting late when I heard someone at my front door. I waited for a knock, but none came, just the shuffling of feet as they walked away. I went to the door and looked around; thinking maybe God had sent help. However, as I turned to go back into my apartment I noticed a posting on my front door. As I read the note my heart sank. The notice was from the electric company saying they would be shutting off my electric the next day. It was getting dark and I began to pray even harder. I was so tired and felt as though I was getting nowhere. I was scared. Trying to get my mind off my problems, I began to read a little booklet I had received from Rhema Bible School. As I read the booklet that Kenneth Hagin Sr., the founder of the school in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma had written, I began to feel some peace in my heart. Then I read a verse of Scripture that seemed to leap straight off the page and into my spirit: “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you” (Matthew 6:33).

From this one verse of Scripture, my prayer changed and the heavens opened. I could hear Him clearly say, “Go to the prayer breakfast.” I knew exactly where He was sending me, but I thought it’s too far away and wondered if I could afford to use my last ten dollars for gas. But God was calling and I knew I had to go, so I got myself ready, jumped in my pick-up truck and spent my last few dollars fueling up my tank. When I arrived I sat out in the parking lot and waited for everyone, but only the pastor showed up. He asked how I was doing, and I told him what all was going on in my life. He just laughed and laughed. Then he pulled out a check that was already made out. He said God had told him to put it in his pocket as he was leaving his home, headed for the morning’s meeting. He handed me the check and said, “This is for you!” We both then laughed and then began to praise God for bringing this blessing together. The check was enough to pay my rent and electric and to keep me going until I could collect a paycheck. The electric company did end up shutting off the electricity; however, they pulled the wrong meter. My neighbor was pretty upset.

In 1991 our ministry took a group of people in our 15 passenger van to Nacogdoches, Texas to minister in the towns Senior Citizens Hall. After praise and worship was over I brought the usual 45 minute message then the fun part began. We passed around the congregation a large basket that was full of blank audio cassette tapes for each person to take one. Those of us who came to minister formed a line across the stage with each one of us holding a tape recorder. As the people came up with their tape in hand they would stand before each one of the ministers, handing over their tape to receive a word. Everyone who came received at least 4 or more prophesies. However, I noticed there were three men on the front row who obviously did not want to be there and had refused to take a tape. With their arms crossed they sneered at us as we ministered, obviously not in agreement with what we were doing.

The last person in line was a little old woman who had waited until the end of the service to come up for a word. As I ministered to her the Holy Spirit said, “Ask her about James, James Kay and tell her he is with me.” So I asked the little woman, “Who is James?” She said gruffly, “He’s my husband!” Again I asked, looking for confirmation, “Who is James Kay?” Staring at me like I should know she replied, “Well, he is my husband!” Now I had all the information I needed to know I was hearing God clearly. Boldly I said, “God wants you to know James Kay is with Him!” The woman broke out in tears. Obviously James was not a very strong Christian, but she finally knew her husband would be waiting for her in heaven. Even the three angry men sitting on the front row knew James Kay and also believed there was no way I could have known James Kay except by hearing God. By the gift of the Holy Spirit, through the Word of Knowledge, I was given the words needed to bless the little old woman and make believers out of three rough-looking oil field workers.

After the services were over a group of women served sandwiches, chips and drinks. When I sat down to eat the three men rushed over and sat down right across from me and wanted to know everything about the Holy Spirit. That night was my first Prophetic Evangelistic experience as recorded in First Corinthians 14:24,25:

“But if all prophesy, and an unbeliever or an uninformed person comes in, he is convinced by all, he is convicted by all. And thus the secrets of his heart are revealed; and so, falling down on his face, he will worship God and report that God is truly among you.”
1 Corinthians 14:24,25

Have you ever wondered why your prophecy did not come to pass? Shouldn’t there be a stricter judgment enforced against those who prophesy in the name of Jesus and it not come to pass? Why is it sometimes you know without a doubt you heard God and you spoke His Word but it did not come to pass?

“Who is he who speaks and it comes to pass, When the Lord has not commanded it?”
Lamentations 3:37

There is a lesson to learn here that everyone who prophesies should know. It happens rarely, but sometimes God will set you up to deliver His Word, yet He knows beforehand that it will not come to pass. We have a term for this. We call it a “fish bait prophecy”, because when it happens to you it really makes you stink. You can deliver His word and you know that you know in your knower that you have heard His voice clearly. He even gives you a name and time it is to come to pass; however, when the designated time has passed you have egg on your face and you want to find a hole and pull the earth over yourself. God does not care about you reputation or if you look good in the eyes of men. As long as He gets what He wants done then He will use whomever He wills to send His word.

Do you recall the story of Jonah and the whale? Most of us remember this story being told or read from various children’s books, for it is a fascinating biblical event. Jonah at first did not want to deliver God’s word, which was

“Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry out against it; for their wickedness has come up before Me”
Jonah 1:2

Because Jonah did not want to do as the Lord commanded, he boarded a ship departing from a nearby port. It wasn’t very long before God caused the seas to roll and the storm to toss the ship around until finally the crew threw Jonah overboard. Isn’t it just like God? When we are not in His will things just turn upside down, especially when you blatantly disobey His word. It was the same for Jonah when God sent a whale to swallow and deliver him to Nineveh and spew him out on the beach for all to see. When God wants you to do something for Him and you have committed to doing everything He commands of you, you will fulfill that promise one way or the other, either the hard way or the easy way.

You can image what Jonah looked like after spending three days and nights in the belly of the whale. We know the symbolism of this part of the story prophetically speaks of our Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus, coming out of the tomb on the third day, which carries a very powerful message. However, we are headed in a different direction to stress another point found in this wonderful event. When Jonah chose to go the hard way, he was delivered and immediately started speaking what God had placed on his heart.

“Then Jonah cried out and said, ‘Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown!'”
Jonah 3:4

However, when forty days had passed the great city was still standing and had not been overthrown. Jonah was very angry with God for making him deliver His word. God had changed His mind after the King had everyone repent and fast in ashes and sackcloth. Well, that was not the deal. Jonah obviously felt like God should do what He said regardless, so Jonah felt betrayed and went out of the city and found a place where he could feel sorry for himself.

“Then he wished death for himself, and said, ‘It is better for me to die than to live'”
Jonah 4:8

God came to Jonah and in His own way showed him that he should not be put out because God did not kill 120,000 just so he could be right.

You see, serving God is not always rewarding in the way we may think. Sometimes being used of God means sacrificing our dignity. We either serve God or man, but we cannot serve both. If you get too haughty and God sees that you need to be humbled, He may make you a spectacle by serving you up as fish bait, which is not too palatable for many. In the end do all you can to remain humble, give all the glory to Him, and be willing to be used of God no matter what the cost, for that is the price of being a true servant of God.

Jesus said, “Can you trust me with this experience without ever knowing why?”

My first prophetic sign from God came to me when I was 9 years old. It was in June of 1961 my sister, Pamela, and I had been staying with my Grandmother Simpson who lived in west Texas. My sister and I had been sent to stay for a couple of weeks with our grandmother during the hot dry month of summer while our parents had some time to themselves. After a couple of weeks, we knew just any day my parents would call and let us know that they were coming to take us home.

Then one evening, around seven or so, the telephone rang. Our parents were coming to pick up my sister and me. They would have to make a 60 mile trip, which gave us plenty of time to gather our things, pack and be ready to go. While grandmother was visiting with my Dad over the phone, the skies opened up and a very fine misting rain began to fall. There was something very strange about the way it made me feel; I knew something was wrong. It was odd that I was feeling so bad about the rain. You see, the average rainfall for the western part of Texas is around 15 inches per year, so rain of any kind is wonderful, but not this night.

Suddenly, from out of the misty rain God spoke to me with such clarity it was if He were standing right next to me. I could tell by the tone of His voice that He was deeply saddened as He told me, “Your Mother and Father are going to be in an accident, and it will be fatal.” While grandmother was still talking to my Dad, I began to interrupt her begging her to let me talk to him. I was going to tell them not to come that night but wait until the next day.

She kept pushing me away; then, suddenly, she hung up the phone. I asked her, “Grandmother, why did you not let me talk to him?” She responded, “They will be here in about an hour.” With tears in my eyes I said, “No they won’t, they’re going to have a wreck.”

Grandmother did not take me seriously. She thought I just didn’t want to go home or I was tired. But I knew that I knew in my knower that the wreck was going to leave me without my mother. With no question in my mind, His Word to me was more real than anything that my natural senses could ever reveal. I began to pace around the house pleading with God not to let them die. At one point I stopped, placed my arm upon the front door. Resting my head on my arm, I began to use my mind’s eye to envision my parents just running off the road unharmed. This was a vain attempt to try and use my seer’s gift to change the outcome. I knew that it was a long shot, but I was desperate to save my mom.

About 20 minutes later, my Dad’s four brothers came walking into the house. They looked very serious, and I knew what was about to happen next. I tried to make eye contact with them, but they would not look at me. Then one of my uncles sat down at the counter where the telephone was; he picked up the telephone and acted like he was calling the hospital trying to find out where my parents were located. Acting as if he was talking to the receptionist, my uncle began to repeat each word he was supposedly hearing on the other end of the line, and then he said, “They were in a wreck between Odessa and Midland and Mozelle Simpson was killed?” My dad’s youngest brother was standing behind me with his hands on my shoulders. Even though I knew what was going to happen, I broke down crying as my precious little sister gently patted me saying, “It’s going to be okay.” She was only two years old and didn’t understand what had just happened.

I found out later that my mother’s oldest brother was also told by God about the accident before it happened. My uncle Johnny and his family were vacationing in Colorado and had a week to go before returning to their home in Dallas. My uncle indicated that a strong undeniable impression came to him that my mother was in trouble and they needed to pack up their things and get back home. He also reported that as they were coming into Texas the state troopers had set up a roadblock and were stopping everyone coming in from the north. When my uncle stopped at the checkpoint they asked for his driver’s license then they informed him that his family needed him and it was urgent. The troopers closed down the checkpoint and escorted my uncle and his family straight through Texas, to where all the families had gathered to mourn the loss of my mother.

The prophetic gifts have been present in my mother’s side of the family as far back as to my great grandmother who was a full blood Kiowa-Apache Indian. In this picture you can see her standing with my great-grandfather who was of Scottish decent. Even though the gifts were prevalent in all their lives, they did not all use them or even know what was happening to them when the Holy Spirit would come upon them. My grandmothers and mother were considered to be crazy when they would tell of things to come. They were totally misunderstood. I believe, because they did not know how the gift worked, and no church at that time taught on personal prophecy for today; therefore, the church would not have anything to do with them.

I remember my mother would tell me, as far back as I could remember, that I would die when I was 27 years old. It was only a couple of times that she would come to me with tears in her eyes and tell me what she knew in her heart to be true. My mother was not being cruel to me she was just overwhelmed by what she was experiencing. I’m sure what she was seeing was we would be separated by death and possibly saw the number 27. The irony of this story is when she died in the car accident she was only 27 years old. I tell you this because it’s important that you to see how easy it is to misinterpret what the Holy Spirit is revealing to your spirit. If it was difficult for the disciples of Jesus to understand what He was saying to them face to face, with their natural ears, how much more challenging is it to know what He is saying to us Spirit to spirit?

You see, it is not enough to hear God; you must know what He means. This is the true test of everyone who prophesies. All Christians have the ability to hear His voice, but not all have the wisdom and/or knowledge to properly interpret what He means. This is just another reason why it’s important to work with a prophet who has the spiritual insight to know and understand what our Lord is revealing to His people.

However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.
John 16:13

I want to tell you about something I experienced a few days after I received your Handkerchief of Impartation. I was sitting in the cafeteria where I was, in Gospel City. (the name on this Place/School)

It came such a stillness and the presence of the LORD was so strong, I could not speak, I could not pray, just sitting there. I think I was sitting there for hours. I could not move either.

I wonder if that was this encounter with the Angels that was sent to minister to me?

A few days before I was going back to Norway, I had 3 days going through an Esther Fast, without an food without any water. I took nothing for this 3 days. I don’t know the reason for it, but I know that I had to do it.

The second day of this fast, that night there was a person standing at my bed and there was a beautiful smell, maybe like roses. I don’t know if it was an Angel or Jesus? I just wanted to tell you about this.

Dear Prophet Kent,

Thank you for the word you sent to me. I have been praying for God to give me someone in my life that understands the prophetic and can give me more understanding as to who I am in Him. I believe for a season at least, that person is you.

I love my pastor at my church dearly, and he is filled with the Spirit. But the gifts of the Spirit are not free to function — yet. It isn’t because the pastor does not want to see it, but because there is much tradition and religious spirits there. I have always known I had a prophetic anointing on my life ~even as a small child I can remember knowing things were going to happen or what was going on with someone.

The church I grew up in did not teach about Prophetic anointing so at that point I thought maybe it was ESP :)… Over the years and through God’s faithfulness I have been exposed to far more of the truth and do realize He gives gifts to each born again believer. I currently teach a Sunday school class which has been somewhat challenging but also rewarding. I love it when I get to teach prophetically. That is when my heart just spins with delight.

I am glad that I can be a part of your family and learn from you. I want to experience all that Jesus has for me and not leave one thing on the table that he has for me. Thank you again for your faithfulness to minister to so many of us in need.

We live in a time where people really do not believe that Jesus Christ is the true savior of the world and that those who believe in Him shall have eternal life. This is the true gospel and message of Jesus Christ who offered Himself as the only acceptable sacrifice that God our Father would accept. Jesus became the Lamb of God who was offered up as a sacrifice for all mankind and yet a growing majority of people are now not only denying this true but are attacking those who do believe that Jesus has made the way for us all to have everlasting life in heaven.

Even as wonderful as this sounds there are people who still do not believe the gospel message and that there is life for those who believe that Jesus Christ is the son of the living God who was born of the virgin Mary, died on the cross of Calvary for the remission of our sins, was raised on the third day and now sits at the right hand of the Father making intercession for His people.

Jesus said, “They will not believe unless they see signs and wonders.”

Today the only way that the people will see the signs and wonders of God is for us to surrender unto Him allowing Him to use us however He so wills. Therefore, we need to offer ourselves up to Him as vessels for Him to minister through so those who see the signs and wonders of God working through us will believe in the message we share about who Jesus is and tell of the price He has paid for all of us. We are bought by the blood of Jesus and all who receive and follow Him will have life after death.

The first thing anyone who wants to be used by God must do is to die to their own will. Do not worry about what people will think of you; give a word of prophecy or ask someone if they need prayer. Too many people are not used by God to move in His power for they are more concerned with what people will think of them rather than God. You must humble yourself before the Holy Spirit and do everything He tells you to do. If you stop and mull it around your reasoning will take over and rob you of the revelation and the opportunity. You do this too many times and He will leave you and go to another.

Then He (Jesus) said to them, “Take heed what you hear. With the same measure you use, it will be measured to you; and to you who hear, more will be given. For whoever has, to him more will be given; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.”

You do not hear many preaching on the anointing these days, and I find this to be a missing link in our teachings. It needs to be brought back to the forefront. If you cannot understand nor know how to move under the anointing of Christ you cannot be successful in finding His direction. Too many ministers are just guessing what God would do rather than be led by His anointing. It is a great fallacy to be led by your own doctrine and beliefs rather than be led by the Holy Spirit. If you just do and say whatever the Master tells you much of your doctrine will begin to fall away. Most doctrines become man’s way of controlling God’s people through what they believe. Tell me what a man believes and I will tell you what that man will do; thus revealing to whom he has true allegiance.

“But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.”
1 John 2:27

What the anointing teaches you is for YOU! This also is one thing that we the Church are at fault for not understanding. When the Holy Spirit begins to teach you, by the anointing of Christ you are faced with a decision, whether to denounce what the Holy Spirit is telling you or offend the brotherhood by denying what mere men have taught you. The fact is that the Holy Spirit is truth, but in every man can be found a lie.

“This is He who came by water and blood, Jesus Christ; not only by water, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who bears witness, because the Spirit is truth.”
1 John 5:6

Okay, now for a quick recap: we know that we must die to ourselves and not be concerned with what anyone thinks about us as long as we are doing God’s will. We must open ourselves up for the Holy Spirit to teach us the things we need to know for our ministry in order to work in accordance with what our heavenly Father has predestined for you to do in this life as a service to Him. Knowing that when we hear or know what the Holy Spirit wants and we have confirmation that we are hearing correctly then we wait for His timing, knowing when to do what He is calling us to do. As these practices begin to be a part of your way of life you will find Him giving you more and more power and responsibility in His Kingdom.

“For our gospel did not come to you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit and in much assurance, as you know what kind of men we were among you for your sake.”
1 Thessalonians 1:5

There are various annointings that are directly associated with the gifts of the Holy Spirit. After the Holy Spirit sees that you are one whom He can trust to do whatever He asks of you, a new and fresh anointing will come upon you giving you power and authority into other areas over darkness in people’s lives. While ministering, you may sense the move of the Holy Spirit by an anointing that you discover is leading you to operate in the word of knowledge, healing or both.

As the people begin to flood into your life with various needs you will know their need just by the anointing that rests upon you. Each anointing has a different feel about it and you just have a knowing of what you are to do. If you do not acknowledge the anointing and do something else other than what was given to you, you will miss the opportunity to bless the person who you were to help. You may have one person who needs healing so you search in the Spirit looking how to administer their healing; maybe He will tell you they are healed or He will give you a word of knowledge or tell you to spit in their face. Whatever the anointing empowering you to do, then move as the Holy Spirit gives you the unction, and the results will be powerful. You will be amazed how many things you will learn along this way of living the life of a Christian, and all you have to do is to Pray, Hear and Obey.

Dear Prophet Kent Simpson

I greet you in the name of Jesus. I read your prophecy on the Elijah List regarding angels. I do not know you but for some strange reason about a week ago, I saw your face in my minds eye and one word “prophecy”. I did not take too much notice at the time and just brushed it off as odd.

Today I am very out of sorts, very weepy and in desperate need to hear from the Lord when lo and behold, exactly one month from the day I first read your prophecy, I read it again and decided to write you in the belief that you have a word for me from the Lord.

I have never done this before and humbly request forgiveness for my presumption but earnestly believe that I am not wrong.

I have a little story that somewhat explains the process of being shaped and molded by the Potter’s hands. Each of us is nothing more than a clay vessel cleansed of its impurities. God chooses unworthy and broken vessels of clay for His work.

Pausing, the Potter picks up an abandoned and broken vessel of clay. His empathetic tears fall upon its sinful nature, baptizing it, washing away the years of neglect and abuse. His compassion melts the vessel, pottersresurrecting a new pliable texture. His newfound love for it begins to knead out the lumpy, hard features of its coarse and worldly ways.

Finally the clay sighs in relief as it is gently placed in the center of the Master’s view. He ponders with great thought about what He will make of this re-born vessel. Suddenly, the clay experiences a troubling intrusion. Spinning the wooden wheel, the Master begins to form the clay into His heart’s delight. As the clay feels the strong touch of the Master’s hands, he also experiences the swirling of circumstances that he cannot control. Faster and faster, the Potter’s wheel turns as He squeezes and shapes the clay, extending its faith and stature. Slowing the wheel, life’s problems seem to cease. The Potter sits back and observes His renewed vessel. Noticing a few weaknesses in the vessel, He compresses the clay once again into a shapeless form. Whirling the wheel around even faster than before, causing confusion in the clay.

As the Potter works the clay it rises higher and higher. Each finger of the Potter’s hand carves deep into the clay, creating deep paths of purpose and destiny. At last, the wheel comes to a halt and the Potter walks away. Standing all alone, the clay begins to cry out for the Master. To his surprise the Potter returns with a sharp double-edge sword. “What could He possibly want to do with that,” stuttered the vessel? With one clean stroke of the sword of His word the clay vessel is freed from the wheel of calamity and confusion. Resting in the hands of its Master, the vessel experiences a great peace as he is handled delicately for a season.

With great intensity a fire begins to breathe its fury all around the clay vessel. Sweating with fear, the vessel struggles to find faith in the midst of this seemingly cruel process. With every hour seeming like years, the vessel weeps every ounce of moisture from its being. Having no more strength of its own, the vessel begins to harden in the Refiner’s fire. As the vessel sees a new glow from his Master’s flaming eyes, the vessel recounts its purpose for being created. It recalls the promise of the Potter’s return, the vessel begins to reflect. Yearning for deliverance, the smoking vessel cries out with a burning desire to serve His creator. As the Potter begins to remove the vessel from the furnace, the vessel vows to serve the Master with every part of his being. Still glowing with passion to tell others about the Potter, the vessel pleads to be used for the Master’s glory. Instead, the Potter places the vessel on a cold shelf, knowing that he could scorch another with his heated passion to share his experience. The vessel laments over this chilling experience waiting impatiently to be called into the service of his Master.

With each new day the once fiery zeal of the vessel draws cold. Discovering the vessel is cool to the touch and cannot harm those who handle it, the Master takes him from the shelf. Knowing he is called to serve the Master, the vessel waits patiently for the anointed brush of the Potter. With each unique and personal stroke of the Master’s brush, the vessel is gifted with a colorful destiny unlike any other. The vessel is complete, ready to be filled with the Master’s glory. It is willing to be filled and emptied again and again, delivering hope to those who thirst for the Master’s touch.

I would like to thank you for God’s Word to the Youth of a War Torn Nation, that word was for me. The Lord spoke to me about teaching the youth about a couple of weeks ago to me. I said to the Lord I need confirmation, so I can make sure I hear you correctly. This was the confirmation I need to move into what God wants to do in the youth lives. He said to me to teach the Youth, How to Study their Bible, and to teach them about Faith. Please let me know if you get anything else to share with me.I have also had a lot of dreams about mainly Boy babies.

His Word rightly divides those who know about Him from those who really know Him.

After the full gospel business men’s meeting I attended, where my dad was slain in the Spirit, and I, shortly afterwards, received the real baptism of the Holy Spirit, I jumped into God’s favorite game–hide and seek. When I was lost, He found me, saved me, and filled me with the Holy Ghost. Now, it was my turn to go find Him. I had many questions to ask Him. Since that day, I have learned so much. I try my best to share what I have learned in my quest for truth.

One of the things I have learned, looking through His eyes, is that the majority of the body of Christ worships the Bible rather than Him whom the books of the Bible are about. I don’t know about you but my Jesus is not wood pulp and ink bound in genuine leather. In fact I never refer to the Bible as the Word of God. I reference to this wonderful and most powerful book as the Holy scriptures; the same as Jesus did. He is the Word of God and He is not dead but alive and is speaking to you and I.

“He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God.”
Revelation 19:13

How you use His written Word will determine whether you are living the abundant life Jesus promised or not. Some are compelled to take up arms with His written Word and use it to slice and dice other Christians–in the attempt to remove the splinter from their brother’s eye. These people struggle wondering, “Why am I hurting so badly even though I faithfully tithe and give offerings?” The devourer continues to eat away, and they don’t know why. Going to their Bibles, they begin to rigorously re-study, making sure they have been following the “formulas” correctly, as well as the multiple steps they have been taught. Frustrated and confused, their hearts become an easy target for Satan’s fiery darts of doubt and disbelief.

The famous line from the old movie City Slickers comes to mind. Remember when the old rugged cowboy said, “All you need to know is one thing.” Well, these days, everyone wants to know, “What is the one thing that will make me happy again?”

I am here to tell you what that one thing is that will give you peace and happiness in this life no matter if the herd has been scattered, you’re lost in the wild wilderness. As we journey together in these surroundings of unknown territory, you can find His divine abundance in the midst of a world that is going madly into an abyss of debacle and decay.

It always comes down to what He is saying to you TODAY. Not what He said to someone else or the testimonies you have read about Jesus in the Bible. You must go to Him for what you need, or at least find out how to seek Him. Don’t tell me you cannot hear Him and know His will. You can! And, I will tell you how. It’s not that you can’t hear Him; it’s just you have not been taught how to find Him.

How many times have you heard a preacher give a wonderful testimony how Jesus saved him from financial bankruptcy, turned him around, and gave him everything he asked for? You wished it would happen the same way for you! Don’t go and do exactly what the preacher did. That won’t work for you. Learn how to find Him on your own, and He will give you what He wants you to have. I know there are times you need someone to hear God for you because you are so emotionally involved that you’re unable to hear clearly for all the noise from your emotions screaming in your head.

For years I have heard very good and powerful ministers say that if we can get His written Word down into our spirits, then we will have the authority to speak the Word, and thus we will have whatever we ask. They mean well, but their instruction is backwards. Instead of first getting in your head, and then down to your spirit, it needs to go the other way around–from your spirit to your head.

In order to receive true revelation knowledge, you must first pray. If you know how to pray, then pray through until you know without a doubt your prayer has been heard. Then, go about your day. At some point when you least expect it, His Word will come to you. Then, ask Him to confirm His word. Most of the time, He will lead you to His written Word, and there you will find your confirmation. This is because He will lead you right where you are to read. Once you have your confirmation, then you need to obey by doing what He has impressed or spoken to you. Truth will always work. So if what you are doing is not working for you, then you need to find His way. I know this way works, for I have been practicing it, and teaching others, and it does work! We all agree this is the way He intended it to be.

Our mission is to Pray, Hear and Obey–for this is the Christian way. Remember what Jesus has said, come to Me and you will find life. I believe He is speaking of the good life and its abundance. – Amen!

You gave a word to my 4 year old son, you said that he was going to be a leader and that men would be proud to be in his presence. Prestin has grown to be someone you would be proud of and has shown leadership qualities. He was ranked 5th in his 8th grade class last year out of 176.

On January 7th all the way to the church, I prayed that you would let me know that I was doing right with the Boys, I always worry that I push them too hard at the activities that they do, and their Grades.

And my heart was heavy that I wasn’t doing right by them. That Night that was the first thing that you said, “That I was doing right.”

You also spoke to my little guy Peyton, who really isn’t that small but he is my Baby…You said that he gets angry when he sees others hurting.Funny thing is, that is so my Peyton, last year a 7th grader was cursing and picking on a 4th grade, and Peyton my 5th grader got up and told him to leave him alone, and the boy ended up Trying to hit Peyton and missed and then when he tried again the Bus Driver saw what happened and stopped the bus.

Then this year, he had just had an issue in athletics with a boy picking on a special needs kid, and Peyton stepped in and told the kid to stop. So you were so on about Peyton.

Just wanted let you know that your words have touched my family in so many ways. Thanks

Thank you so much for this word. It is one of the most powerful and authoritative words I’ve received. Again, the angel of the Lord appointed to minister to me. I can hardly wait for this to come to pass. The end of the word mentions angels ascending and descending upon me. What an awesome thing! I’ve prayed and asked for the anointing to give clear direction and to truly be able to minister in God’s wisdom to His children, as you teach on it in The School of Prophetic Knowledge. But you do not have His word abiding in you, because whom He sent, Him you do not believe. You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me. But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life.

You cannot study the Scriptures like you study any other book. You must let the Holy Spirit take you to where He wants to teach you. Jesus’ Spirit is alive, and He is still speaking to us today. He can speak from the Holy Scriptures; however, there are a few who are too busy trying to make the book say what they want it to say.

Throughout the ages, men have tried to change His written word by inserting their own interpretation. There are still ministers today who bypass portions of the Bible, taking editing privileges, as if they are the author of this Holy instrument, twisting and manipulating Scriptures to fit their own doctrine.

I have found that those who pray, seeking truth, are led by the Holy Spirit through the Scriptures. The Holy Spirit confirms His Word throughout the Bible. If you can systematically find the constant connection from Genesis to Revelation, you will discover the thread of truth that weaves all 66 masterpieces, collectively called the Holy Bible. The bottom line is–you cannot know the truth within the Bible without hearing and knowing the Holy Spirit. He is truth; and, He is the author of this living will and testament, distributing it to the heirs of His inheritance, through His Word and promises that are sealed in His blood.

Those who choose to reject the Holy Spirit, or who cannot receive His baptism, miss out on so much of what Jesus promised us. I thought, for a number of years, I had received the baptism of the Holy Spirit. I remember when I was baptized at the age of ten; my pastor said as he lowered me into the water, “I baptize you in the Name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.”

It wasn’t until I was an adult that I learned about the Holy Spirit. My dad asked if I wanted to go to a Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship to have dinner and listen to a businessman speak. At the time, I was a bank president, and thought to myself, “Why not? I might have the opportunity to meet some business people.” The meeting was held in a banquet room in a very expensive hotel. I met a few people, and then they called the meeting to order. They introduced the speaker. He began telling us about his life as a successful businessman who was living the life of the rich and famous, and then he started having problems in his business. His wife left him, and he turned to God and was introduced to the Holy Spirit. I thought, “That was strange thing to say. How are you introduced to the Holy Spirit?” Since my denomination did not ever teach anything about the subject, I didn’t even know there was such a thing as the Holy Spirit. The speaker kept on, and I was very interested in what he was saying; however, it was all foreign to me.

Then, the speaker closed with asking those in need of prayer to come forward, and he would pray for them. The line started growing, and, to my surprise, my dad was in the line. Frankly, I did even know he was a Christian, so this was a strange, but educational evening.

As I was listening to the speaker praying over various people, one businessman kneeled down next to my chair and began telling me all these things that the Holy Spirit had told him to write down about me. Then, he started reading what he had written. As he walked away, I thought to myself, “This fellow is way out there,” and found it to be rather humorous.

Turning back toward the prayer line, I noticed my dad was lying flat on the floor. Seeing this shocked me, and I thought to myself, “My dad would never lay down in one of his fine suits.” But, there he was. I wondered, “Why is no one helping him? Can’t they see something is wrong?” So I jumped up and made my way to see if Dad was all right. Then someone grabbed me by the arm and pulled me into the prayer line. I voiced my concern for Dad, and he assured me my dad was just fine, saying, “He was slayed in the Spirit.” Now, that just did it for me, this place was off the chart, and these people, “Who are these people?”

My time finally came, and I was standing right before the speaker, and the first thing he asked me was, “Are you baptized in the Holy Spirit?” Well, I knew he must be referring to what my pastor had said over me as he baptized me at the age of ten, so I said, “I have been baptized in the Holy Spirit.”

One of my dad’s friends was standing next to me, and he was shaking his head side to side, as if to say with no uncertain body language, NO he is not! I started to explain to the speaker, and he said, “Shut up,” as he put his hand on my shoulder. Now, when he said that, I knew within myself that had to be God speaking through him. Don’t make me explain it because I can’t. Let’s just say that is what I knew in my “knower.”

After the man prayed for me, I had a hunger for more of God. And, I was going to find out how to get baptized in the Holy Spirit, if it was the last thing I did. (…to be continued)

Yes! I’ve received a lot of words regarding my husband …not in as much detail as you had spoke though.

When I receive a word from you …listening once or twice doesn’t quite cut it….I find I have to listen several times to hear (heart hear if there is such a term) God for myself to understand fully what is being said.

LOL …when I first heard this word I said to myself, “Oh my Gosh! I don’t want a weak man for a husband” …well no sooner did I hear those words, “Child, DO YOU NOT THINK I KNOW YOU BETTER THAN YOU KNOW YOURSELF?….I know the kind of man you need….all you have to do is TRUST me”.

February/March I think is the time.

Anyway …on another note, the last newsletter you sent was pretty cool …thanks for taking the time to share that …I appreciate it.

The first thing you will need to do to enroll in the School of Prophetic Knowledge is obtain the complete DVD course with the scripture study manual; including Ordination Papers and Ministerial License to get started. These DVDs will inform you of what we believe and what we teach. The study manual contains all the verses from the Holy Bible and are in sync with each DVD lesson. All verses are from the New King James Version of the Holy Bible.

Part of this training includes seeking God for others. From time-to-time you will receive an email with the name of a person who has made contact with PMT. This individual has reached out for a word of wisdom/knowledge, prophesy or prayer. You will have an opportunity to share what you have heard, sensed or felt by the unction of the Holy Spirit revealing the persons needs.

Pastor Kent will review your email and the word you are sharing and will let you know of any changes are needed and then give you the okay to send the prophecy. You will then have a chance to review the ins and outs of delivering His Word with Prophetic Pastor Kent Simpson’s oversight. This process will be for a short time and then he will allow you to send each and every prophecy directly to person asking for your help. Why Do I Need Ordination Papers and Ministerial Licenses?

Q: Don’t I need to go to school and earn a degree in theology to become ordained?

A: No. There is a difference between a degree in theology and becoming ordained as a minister. A theology degree is an academic certification, generally requiring anywhere from 2 to 10 years of university study to obtain. Academically, a degree in theology is considered the same as a degree in philosophy and is generally required if you wanted to teach religion at a university level.

What is a “The Rag-Mag”? Well, in some parts of the country this slang word defines what we know to be one those unbelievable magazines you see on the magazine rack where you stand waiting to check out. You know, the one’s with the storylines that are so shocking you want to pick it up and look at it, but you really don’t want anyone to see you.

One day I found myself standing in the checkout line at the grocery store when our Lord said, “Take one and make an offer.” Sheepishly, I quickly stuck it in my basket where no one would see that I was actually purchasing it. When I got home I started looking through it, trying to figure out what He meant by “make an offer.” When I got to the center of the magazine I found all the ads from psychics offering all kinds of promises. There were about 20 ads in all; they were anywhere from a ¼ to ¾ of a page in size. Right then and there I knew what He wanted me to do. He was instructing me to go head-to-head against these psychics by offering His Word and giving the alternative for people to come to Him instead.

Immediately, I picked up the telephone and called the rag-mag’s ad department to find out what I had to do to place an ad; back then the Internet did not exist so the process was slow. In a few days, I received a packet with layout requirements, design instructions and pricing. When I saw the price I about passed out. The ad’s that I had seen the psychics putting up started at $3,000.00 to $4,000.00 per WEEK. Even though the circulation boasted 15 million readers per week, the cost just did not balance out for me.

After coming out from under the sticker shock, I readjusted my thinking to the impossibility of me putting in a color ad with images; I opted to go with three lines in the classified section. The cost was still too high, running $486.00 for three lines of text for one week, one issue. Looking to the brighter side, I knew the opportunity to reach 15 million people for Jesus could be a soul-winning experience.

Now all I had to do was raise the funds to put in the ad and then find out from our Lord what to say in those three lines. I knew that a lot of folks would not be interested in supporting what I was called to do, but I did know of one couple who would like the idea. This couple has been the most influential in training me how to know God’s will and how to follow His leading. From the time I was a little boy they took me in and what time they had with me they were very loving and craftily engrafted the word of God into my heart and soul. Because of how much they loved God and how they were always willing to take their time and finances to further the kingdom of God, I knew they would be my best shot at getting the job done for Jesus.

The first thing I would need to do is make the 260 mile trip in order to sit down with them and explain what I wanted to do. When I arrived at my aunt and uncle’s home they greeted me with the same love and compassion as always. We sat down I began to tell my uncle and aunt what I needed to do. After my explanations, Uncle asked how much it was going to cost. With some hesitation I told him $486.00 and he replied, “Alright we’ll pay for it!”

Excited about the possibilities of reaching so many people with the gospel message and the power of His Spirit, I drove back home seeking direction of how to go about this endeavor. After receiving His Word about the wording of the ad for this project I had it typed up and sent off to the rag-mag. Next I was to record on tape a special sermon just for the people who would be writing in for a free prophecy. I knew the Lord wanted them to listen to the 15 minute sermon before they would be able to hear their personal prophecy. Once everything was in place the hardest part was waiting for the ad to come out in the weekly tabloid. Week after week I became a regular customer for the rag-mag, making my purchase and skimming the pages in hopes of finding the ad.

Finally, the ad was out and I just knew I would go to the post office and there would be tons of mail. As I walked to the post office I was thinking to myself that we probably would not have any mail as of yet being that if they received their rag-mag today. It would take a while before their letters would get to my post office box. It was my daily routine to walk to the post office each day to pick up the prophecy requests that were coming in from the ad I was running in Charisma magazine, so even if I had not received any mail from the rag-mag ad it wasn’t a wasted trip.

To my surprise, I opened up the mail box and there was NO mail, only a card that indicated I had something that was too large for my small post office box. I made my way up to the counter and handed the notice to the clerk and she came back with a large bundle of mail. As soon as I was back at my little office I started opening the mail and found that many of the people who had been seeking the psychics were Christians. In many of the letters they told me that they did not know that God had prophets for today and that they could seek a prophet for a word rather than having to go to the psychics. In fact, a few of the letters came from some of the people who worked at the rag-mag just thanking me for giving their readers a better alternate for finding spiritual direction.

After a couple of weeks had gone by and the mail had stopped coming in from the ad, I made an account of the number of letters requesting a word from God. The total was 110 requests; therefore, I prophesied and mailed out 110 audio cassette tapes with the 15 minute sermon and their personal prophecy.

Here is the best part of this entire story. Out of the 110 people who had received their personal prophecy 3 of them wrote back to me to inform me that they had turned their life over to Jesus Christ because they knew what was said had to be from God. Surprisingly, two of the people worked for the psychic network and told of how the power of the word had stripped them of their psychic ability to give readings and asked if they could become Christians and learn to hear the voice of God. The third person was an atheist who gave her life to Jesus; this person writes me each year on their born-again birthday. One of the two ladies is a prophetess for Jesus Christ and has done a wonderful work in the name of the Lord through her ministry. We still Facebook and email each other from time to time. The other person that was converted from the psychic network to Christianity helped transcribe many of my teaching tapes into manuals that we used in our first School of the Prophets back in 1992. I have since lost track of her, but the last I heard she was doing a Christian radio program. Once again the return for doing it God’s way is the only way to a successful ending; for it always pays to pray, hear and obey.
