Prophets Who Stand Alone

I have learned more about our God doing prophesies for others than all the combined teachings of man. I have changed my doctrine many times over after learning the truth. At times, this has caused friction between my brothers and sisters in the Lord and me. However, I would rather have the truth and stand alone than follow the masses into the passive gray areas of denial and complacency.

Standing Alone

Word of the Week

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.
2 Timothy 4:3-5

Kent,

Just wanted to thank you for the word you had for me. My friend Alex Lee ordered it for me. After hearing the word you had for him I was not surprised how accurate it was and it really spoke to me. It is important to receive feedback on your ministry. I will be praying for you. It was really good to hear from you.

Denny Farmer

Thank you Kent for the word for my friend, it was very accurate.

You also gave me a word recently that was very accurate and confirming. Anyway, I just wanted to write and thank you for speaking God’s word into our lives.

Blessings,
Alex

Righteous Tithes

In the churches affiliated with PMT, all tithes that come in are not spent. Not one dime is incurred for expenses, salaries, anything. The tithes are strictly for investments-to sow, to make money. Why? So there will be enough there for you when you are in need. There will be enough there for you when it comes to your day of retirement. There will be someone there to take care of you. There are going to be provisions which will multiply.

Bring all the tithes into the STOREHOUSE,
That there may be food in My house,
And try Me now in this,
Says the Lord of hosts,
If I will not open for you the windows of heaven
And pour out for you such blessing
That there will not be room enough to receive it.
Malachi 3:10 (NKJV)

The Bible makes it clear; we do not place usury upon the people of God. Usury is interest.

Think about this: If you are at your job and you start telling everyone about the new credit card you received from your church, and it has the church’s name on it and you never have to pay any interest what do you think they will say? I can just see it now; looking at the church’s bank card I see a logo on the card that says “theMaster’sCard?” Only the saints within that congregation had the 0% interest on their “theMaster’sCard.” Think about the evangelistic aspects of this. You will be bragging about your 0% interest “theMaster’sCard.” How many people would want a credit card that charges 0% interest “theMaster’sCard?” You are going to pay the money back, of course, because you will be borrowing it from the “STOREHOUSE” (see scripture above Malachi 3:10), but you pay 0% interest, and it NEVER charges you interest or fees.

One of the things I have learned over the years is that when I listen to history, a lot of times God teaches me things about the past. From the past, we can know patterns for the future.

The Bible makes it clear; we do not place usury upon the people of God. Usury is by definition is interest on money borrowed. Interest is for the wicked to pay not for us. Somewhere in history it was reversed. How many mortgages are on church buildings across the land today?

Some of the wealthiest people in this nation are Jewish people because the forefathers were wise and lived up the scriptures that said a good man left his inheritance to his children’s children.

How many preachers are preaching for one reason: because they must obtain the money to meet the budget this week. I went to churches where the budget of $150,000 had to be met every Sunday morning. $150,000! And do you know where that church is today? It’s in bankruptcy. Fifteen million dollar building that has cobwebs growing in the corners. Why? Because the principle was not in wisdom; it was in self-motivation of men and humanistic, worldly way of doing things.

We have to come to a place where we must live up to the principles that God is showing us.

Now, what do you do with all this money that comes in for the church? This is where the elders come in to place. They have to be wise. They have to be hearing God! They have to know what God is going to do with these finances. Now, immediately, I began to seek God. Lord, what are we going to do? I have fifteen years of banking; I know a little bit about the financial markets, but what does God want to do? I cannot rely on the knowledge I have or what education or what experience I have in the financial market place. It is still going to take God. I am NOT going to listen to Warren Buffett for advice when I can hear the Spirit of the Lord. No. He doesn’t know what tomorrow holds. Only one knows what is around the corner of tomorrow!

God will show us what to buy and what to sell. He will prosper the church if we do according to His will. So, pastors wonder, how will I be supported? That is what offerings are about. It is the offering which we should operate off of, not the tithe! The tithes belong to God. The tithes are there for God. And what is God interested in? He wants it for His people. His expenditure for His people is limitless! He gave us His only begotten son, the Lord Jesus Christ. So why would you think He wants this money, the tithes? The tithe is placed in the “STOREHOUSE” for His ministers to take care of God’s people not to take care of the pastor’s Leer jet, mansion and collection of toys. It is not to make the pastor to be fancied or look high and mighty so that everybody will want to be like him. Hey, we are supposed to exalt only ONE, and that is the Godhead; He and only He should the head of the church. Take note, anything with more than one head is a freak!

What does God want to do with the money? In the beginning, He showed me this practicality by the demonstrations of the Jews who came into America around the time of World War II. A lot of them came in World War I because there were persecutions even then. But when they came to America, they had very, very little, like most immigrants coming to America. So what did these men and women do?

They had little time to make anything for themselves. But they knew this Proverb: A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children. And they were going to live by this principle. They were ready to sacrifice themselves for the next generation. Are people following this principle today? I don’t think so.

If you see a huge RV going up and down the road, it might seem humorous, but it is really sad. A lot of them have license plates that say, “We are spending our children’s inheritance,” as if boasting blasphemies against God’s principle. But we have to provide for our children’s children. We have to provide for the church of the next generation.

A lot of people are saying there is not going to be another generation. I am here to tell you that is a bold-faced lie from the pits of Hell. It is the major discussion of the new millennium. Everybody has prepared for raptured, but I tell you these teaching are scaring the young people out of the church. That message has destroyed so many people, and it will destroy the whole church if we continue with it. The rapture message is not the gospel message that Jesus purchased with His blood; the gospel message is there is life after death for those who believe He is the long awaited Messiah.

God is going to preserve His people, as He promised in Genesis. He said that He will never destroy mankind again. That is the promise of the rainbow. People try to water it down by saying that God meant He will not destroy us by a flood, but rather He is going to kill us all with fire. That is not what He said!

He said He will never destroy mankind again. There is a whole different teaching on this subject which we will not get into now. But we have a commission of God to prepare for future generations. The way we have been doing things in the church has made it less and less powerful, less and less critical and fewer and fewer people are interested in being on a ship with holes in it and going down quickly. They want to be part of something that is living, part of something that is gaining, something that has a voice.

If a church has $1,800,000 in the bank, people are going to listen to them. They will pay attention to those people when they come and say we want this in our government. One church in one year can collect $1,800,000 in tithes. What if we did it with all the churches across the United States? If every one of them stored the tithes, how long would it take to have a majority of the finances and who will the world listen to? It would not take very long if every church began holding the tithes and not spending them. How long would it take before the church at large controlled the major portion of the world’s funds?

Now, I am going back to the Jews. What did they do? When they came to America, they had nothing. They had to do something so what they did was this: They found whatever jobs they could do, but with every dime they could get a hold of over and above the essential cost of living they bought life insurance and made their children the beneficiary. They knew this one thing: it was guaranteed that they were going to die. That was a sure thing. And if they had the policy, the children would have something to start out with because they had nothing. Now, what has happened because of that?

Some of the wealthiest people in this nation are Jewish people because the forefathers were wise and lived up the scriptures that said a good man leaves his inheritance to his children’s children. It is a guaranteed practice every one of us is accountable to die at some point in time.

So what should we do? One investment the church can make with its policy is to insure its people. Why? To make the church the beneficiary. Why do this? So it can leave something for the next generation of children.

The church is supposed to be one big body, one big family. I am not saying give all your properties. Some Christian TV programs say they will take all your properties, work out your trust and will and deed it all to the church. Well, I am not interested in that. I am interested mainly in taking in some investment that we know will work so that the church can prosper. Think about this: How many people will pass away? Some unfortunately die because of an accident. Some unfortunately die because of a sickness or disease. The fact of the matter is that we live in a world where those things happen. So the money goes to the church, is the money spent? No. It is there to take care of the next generation and the present elderly generation’s needs.

We have people all over the place who are in need of finances. We have people who are in need of being able to build a company if they had just a little bit to start out with, they could make it. Where can they get it? They can get it from the STOREHOUSE. It is there, ready and available, to give to suitable causes. There should be accountability to the elders to make sure it is invested properly. We do not want to lose it this is why we need prophetic insight.

People will say, how will we know that you are going to use the tithes like you say that you are not going to spend the tithes? Every year there will be an outside professional audit done on that account. Every penny accounted for, where it went, how it was invested. Everyone receives a statement showing how much they tithed in that year.

Now you think about it. You put in over a period of years, ten, fifteen, twenty maybe over a hundred thousand dollars in tithes. You think you are going to just walk out of that church and go to another church over some silly thing that hurt their feelings? I don’t think so. We need to stop running away from issues in our life and learn to face them by changing our selfish ways. If it takes the tithes you have stored up to make you deal with your people problems then so be it.

It is not that you can come in and say you want our $100,000 worth of tithes and we want to go to the next church. It is not going to happen. We are not going to let you take God’s money and go put it in the “SpendHouse.” It belongs in the STOREHOUSE!

How many churches would love to be able to have a position to do this for their people? Most of them can’t, because they are already locked in debt so tight they cannot wiggle.

Pastors are going to be screaming all over the land because they are going to say, “My God, those people are crazy; they are going to kill us. We can’t give up the tithes. We have got to pay the bank its money back with usury (interest). We have got to pay the salaries. We have got to pay the coffee machines. We have got to pay all these other things. We cannot give up the tithes.” They are not going to do it. They will preach against what we are preaching. But let me tell you something; if you are giving a check over every Sunday knowing that it is going to be spent back into the world, what good does it do?

What if it was stored for you, your family and other families? It is not the case that just because you put in $10,000 last year in tithes that you can take out $10,000 next month. This is not the way it works. The tithes have to be used for the investment purposes as well as being a provision for people. It is not to be used frivolously. It needs to be invested back into the body of Christ so that the people of God can prosper. Elders of the church, seasoned business men and women will be at your disposal to give you advice. All of the churches within the PMT Network will post all of its member’s products and services and encourage their people to use their services and goods.

When we go on TV and start making this known to people, the house of God is going to be full quickly. We are talking about reaching people who can understand what the church is all about, and they are working towards something that will be there to take care of them. This is what everybody wants. They want to be taken care of, but that is not what the church has been doing. The church has been just been taking and this has got to stop. We have to come to a place where we must live up to the principles God is showing us.

Praying Over Handkerchiefs

Special Anointings

In the summer of 1989 my weekly routine involved going to the early morning men’s prayer breakfast each Friday. As usual, I was the first to show up, and since I had a key to the building I started to make the coffee. After a couple of cups of coffee I wondered if anyone was going to show up.

I watched the clock tick away for twenty minutes, and still no one had shown. Then, I caught sight of an 18 wheeler slowly pulling up at the curb. The driver sat in his truck for a minute then headed toward the building. I greeted the grizzly looking man, asked his name and invited him in for a cup of coffee. He had never been to any of our prayer breakfast meetings and didn’t know any members of our church. As I waited a few minutes for others to show, the trucker began to tell me about his life.

He was suffering from various addictions and was on the verge of a divorce. His father was an alcoholic, as well as his brothers, who were always in conflict with one another. A short time later a couple of the regular members showed up, and as we prepared to pray for the trucker the Lord told me to take out my handkerchief and have everyone grab a corner; as we did the presence of the Holy Spirit filled us.

The trucker gave his life to Jesus; when he did, his countenance immediately began to change before our eyes. I instructed the trucker to take the handkerchief with him and tell his entire family what had happened. A few months went by and one Sunday morning I was surprised to see the once beaten down soul now dressed in a suit and tie with his wife and children at his side. After the sermon was delivered he asked if he could testify. The trucker told of his father and brothers being totally delivered of drug and alcohol abuse and how they gave their lives to Jesus. He still had the handkerchief with him. As the congregation filed out of the building, he came to me and gave my handkerchief back. As to say, thank you, a tear ran down his face; we shook hands farewell and thanked God together.
(Bible ref. Acts 19:11-12)

Part 1 – Ministry of Jesus

When Jesus was born in a manger, an army was commissioned to look for Him. Every child two years old and under was to be slaughtered, because King Herod heard thought a new, a true king was born. About the same time, an angel appeared unto Joseph and Mary and warned them to leave the town, for King Herod sought to take the life of their new born son, Jesus. They left the city and stayed away for a number of years. When an angel appeared to them once more, they learned that it was now safe to return, for King Herod was dead. This was just the beginning of many encounters with angelic hosts during the life of Jesus Christ.

Dear Prophet Kent,

Thank you again for coming and for all you gave to us. You present Our Father Papa God’s Words over His people and each of us gets to hear even more what He is truly like. I wrote down many of the words given to others to reflect on especially this Sunday on Father’s Day.

You carry such and incredible strong Anointing and my prayers are you always have His Grace to handle it…

You always bring MORE of God to this area and we go from Deep to Deep… through your ministering. When you speak in just a regular voice the Power on some of the words spoken through you is amazing. It pierces the heart and soul. For example…when you spoke about it was because of the LACK of God’s Grace that the psychics followed the fallen angels… it was soooooo BIG… sooooooo overwhelming how BLESSED we are that He would Choose us to be able to receive His Grace for Salvation and life.

A Time to Govern

A Word for the Body of Christ

By Crystal Wade

“The LORD by wisdom founded the earth; by understanding He established the heavens. By His knowledge the deeps were broken up, and the skies drip with dew.”
Proverbs 3:19-20 (NASB)

“The heavens are telling of the glory of God; and their expanse is declaring the work of His hands. Day to day pours forth speech, and night to night reveals knowledge. There is no speech, nor are there words where their voice is not heard. Their line has gone out through all the earth, and their utterances to the end of the world, in them He has placed a tent for the sun, which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber; it rejoices as a strong man to run his course. Its rising is from one end of the heavens, and its circuit to the other end of them; and there is nothing hidden from its heat. The law of the LORD is perfect, restoring the soul; the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. The precepts of the LORD are right; rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever; the judgments of the LORD are true; they are righteous altogether. They are more desirable than gold, yes, than much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and the drippings of the honeycomb. Moreover, by them Thy servant is warned, in keeping them there is great reward. Who can discern his errors? Acquit me of hidden faults. Also, keep back Thy servant from presumptuous sins; let them not rule over me; then I shall be blameless, and I shall be acquitted of great transgression. Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Thy sight, O LORD, my rock and my Redeemer.”
Psalm 19 (NASB)

“Who is this that appears like the dawn, fair as the moon, bright as the sun, majestic as the stars in procession?”
Song of Solomon 6:10 (NIV)

“I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I AM the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star.” The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life.”
Revelation 22:16-17 (NIV)

Father Time

I bless the experiential knowledge of El Elyon, our Heavenly Father, which is being revealed in vast array in the Exhorter time, turning the hearts of the fathers to their children and the hearts of the children to their fathers.

I bless the arrangement of the celestial bodies and their auxiliaries, the expanse, the sun and moon, the stars, and call them good in agreement with Yahweh Elohim. I bless the motion, air quality, flight patterns, weather, aroma, sound, light and color in the realms of heaven beyond the realm of earth to come into alignment with God’s original intent and covenant purposes. I bless their impact on time and timing, laws and weather in the earth realm. Father, send Your holy angels to wash the defilement from the celestial bodies and the sun and moon and all the heavenly hosts. Where they have been misaligned in order to misalign weather and time and laws on earth, we ask for and bless Your righteous alignment in them according to the holy patterns in Heaven.

Moon, Worship Patterns, and Time

I bless the wisdom and understanding and knowledge that You, Father, are giving of Your unconditional love of mankind through the Exhorter time. I bless the patterns and cycles of the moon, the new moon, and the full moon which reveal hidden wisdom about the Bride’s dominion through Her redeemed presence in the earth. I bless the wisdom of our Creator in designing the moon’s regulation of the waters and the atmosphere of the earth through its gravitational pull. I bless the worship patterns in the waters to be cleansed and released to resound, purify, and righteously align the waters, air, and land. I bless the moon’s regulation from heavenly places-reflective of the Bride’s presence in the earth-of the waters, the cleansing of air, and the weather patterns in the earth realm. I bless the Bride to rise, shake the chains off, and sit enthroned in the heavenly places (which is Her right), and as She does, to regulate the times, timing, laws, and all creation simply by taking Her rightful position in the heavenly places. I bless the regulation of time, timing, laws, and weather patterns by the vast authority of this Exhorter time.

In this time, Father, we submit to You, time, timing, and laws in the heavens and the earth. We ask for cleansing even as the moon pulls the tides which wash the air. May Your hand in Your Bride’s cleanse the times and fill them with purity and purpose from Heaven, Lord Jesus Christ by Your Blood.

I bless the knowledge and wisdom in Your Names of time in this time. I bless You, the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I bless the name of the Ancient of Days. I bless the name of Yahweh, I AM. I bless the name of Wisdom who mothers mankind.

Son Time

I bless the physical sun which gives joy and light to our physical eyes. I bless the sun to operate in alignment to God’s original intent and covenant purposes. I bless the governing of the sun as it regulates and provides nutrition to the vegetation of the earth, thus creating food for all the inhabitants of the earth. I bless the way the sun physically mirrors The Son who is The Light of the world, thus providing both physical bread and The Bread of Life.

Sun, Earth, and Laws

I bless the heavens which tell the glory of God. I bless the expanse of the galaxies which declare the work of His hands. I bless the time component contained in the daytime which pours out speech. I bless the time component contained in the nighttime-a time holy to the Lord-which reveals knowledge that we can understand through our physical senses (our physical “gates”). I bless the heavenly voices which emanate songs and words throughout the entire earth realm. I bless the tent placed in the celestial arena for the sun which spills forth joy and strength each day simply for shining forth the purposes of the Father—purposes of life, light, and hope to all the inhabitants of the earth. I bless the orbital patterns of the earth and moon. I bless that joy and strength to flow unencumbered to the earth and to affect the people of the earth.

Even as the earth is created to move with joy around the physical sun, the stars and celestial bodies sing and utter the wisdom and glory of God to the earth. We call them into righteous alignment, bless them, calling them good, and release their message into the earth realm to be heard and responded to! I bless the holy alignment of times-linear, cyclical, pulse, seasons, and fathering and mothering-through the righteous order of all the celestial bodies, including the sun and moon, that comes as a blessing from the Exhorter time. As the times come into alignment, I bless the weather patterns to respond accordingly to facilitate life, and life more abundantly.

From the heavens, the righteous alignment of Exhorter heavenly bodies governs the laws of Yahweh in the earth. I bless the heavenly speech of our Creator and Father in the heavens to bring forth the truth and clarity of Yahweh’s law, in its completeness, which restores the souls of mankind on earth. I bless Yahweh’s sure testimonies now released to make the simple wise. I bless Yahweh’s right precepts which cause the spirits of mankind to rejoice! I bless Yahweh’s pure commandments which bring light to the eyes of mankind, effecting healing from and restoration of tainted generational memories. I bless the clean reverence and righteous fear of Yahweh which endures forever. I bless Yahweh’s true and righteous judgments. These, our Father and Creator, are more desirable than gold, sweeter than honey, to mankind. I bless the warnings in Your Word and the reward in keeping Your Word. This knowledge of God revealed through the righteous alignment of the heavenly bodies in relationship to the earth in the Exhorter time keeps Your sons free from sin. I bless You, our Rock and Redeemer, for speaking Your glory into our hearts, writing Your laws in us, and setting up an internal compass to keep our words and our meditations pleasing in Your sight.

I bless the governing, the leading, and the inspiration of mankind on earth as the Exhorter time rightly aligns heaven and earth, speaking the righteous decrees of God from heaven into the spirits of mankind. I bless the God-sized visions as they are imparted into the sons in the Exhorter time. I bless the harmony that is being restored in time, timing, weather, laws, food, water, land, air, space, and between peoples in the Exhorter time.

Spirit Time, Reconciliation of People

I bless this Exhorter time to be filled with the knowledge of reality grounded in the truth of Who God is, spoken from the heavenly places. I bless this Exhorter time to present the reality of man’s separation from God and the sure consequences of sin tempered with the unconditional love of God and the absolute hope of redemption. I bless the Exhorter time to be filled with hope based on eternal reality. I bless the Exhorter time as it causes restoration of groups–family groups, ethnic groups, cultural groups, and nations. I bless the way the Exhorter time teaches us about timing and about gleaning from mistakes to grow in relation to groups–from family groups to nations.

I bless the hope that is released in spirits of people-Christians and pre-Christians-in this time. I bless the way the God of hope is filling us with all joy and peace as we trust in Him so that we overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. I bless the sufferings that the people and the earth have experienced in this Exhorter time, for it is the fellowship of sharing in His sufferings that brings the glory of God from heaven to earth. I bless this suffering to release the glory of God into the earth so that it is filled with The Glory as the waters cover the sea.

As times and laws and weather are aligned-and as hope is restored-I bless the great move of evangelism that will draw strength and impact from the Exhorter time. I bless the vision arising in the Bride. I bless the reconciliation in cities, across racial and political and social and gender lines, to arise! Arise, your time has come, your light has dawned!

Character of God

I bless that missing piece of the puzzle-the nature of God which has been eroded by storm damage caused by the thief-to be brought to the table at this point in time to turn the game into victory by drawing in the spirits and hearts of the people. I bless that piece to cause people to arise and to walk in dominion over all creation for the glory of God.

I bless the sons (and those who are not yet sons) in the name of Yahweh Shalom-the God of the present who heals our past, bringing us into harmony and peace. I bless the truth of His faithful, unchangeable, kind, and loving nature to be seen, heard, understood, received, and responded to. I bless the authority that is arising in the sons as they walk in the name of Yahweh Shalom. I bless the incarnated truth that is lived out before mankind that they may also know the One who has created and loved them.

I bless the light that the Exhorter time shines on the Teacher time and Giver time, helping to bring both time and individuals into fullness and wholeness.

I bless this Exhorter time to be saturated with a greater compulsion to please God rather than man, responding to the dominion songs in the heavens. I bless the message to be heard that acceptance by God is much greater than rejection by man. I bless the eternal song to be heard and received in deeper measures so the chaos of the earth can be deflected.

In this time, I bless the righteous commands of God which reverberate through time and space to be so deeply imparted into the hearts of the sons that we will rejoice to walk by principle even as we do seek to have relationship. However, whatsoever we do, whether we eat or drink or whatever we do, we do it all to the Glory of God, choosing Him over popular opinion. I bless the speaking forth-through the knowledge of God–the reality and truth of who God is into this particular time and season in society and in nations.

Fruit Released

I bless the fruit of the righteous alignment in the Exhorter time-the physical manifestation on earth of the water of life and the bread of life to feed the multitudes and to restore people to God based on true knowledge of His person.

I bless your physical heart, emotional heart, spiritual heart, and heart of your birthright. I say that it is good and right for you to who God created you to be. I bless you to know in this time that you were brought to the kingdom for such a time as this. I bless you to hold tightly to Him as you walk with Him, sharing in His sufferings, knowing that the suffering will end and hope will spring forth. The hope is that there is a beginning, an end, and a purpose to each trial. I bless you as you walk through the suffering. I bless your time in the secret, in the quiet place. I bless the glory of God through the knowledge of God and your suffering that you are releasing into the earth, glittering forth in brilliance. I bless you to know that you are changing the world with your righteous life.

Come! The Spirit and the Bride say, “Come!” The river of the water of life is free!

I bless you sons, I bless you Bride, I bless this Exhorter time in the name of the Ancient of Days who is the Great I AM-the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, Amen.

Jill’s Journal

Jill Thrift

“God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong” (1 Corinthians 1:27). As I look back six years ago, I see better how He used an awful trial that lasted nineteen months. I was fair game to my new condo neighbors who sadly had become experts in getting their way by bullying, threats, and intimidation. Although in the past I had been vulnerable to manipulation by such tactics, I have had many tests designed to renew my mind and strengthen my spirit so that I can stand erect in Christ. The couple that purchased the condo next door to me in 2006 quickly saw my gentleness welcoming them, and thought me an easy pushover.

What really bothered them is still a mystery to me, but they claimed that the water in my fountain was so loud that it posed a serious nuisance to them on the other side of the wall. The fountain had run for 24 years without a single complaint, and those of us who listened from inside the neighbors’ living room could hear nothing except a faint trickle when our ears were right up against the wall. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, I worked with three fountain experts and our groundskeeper to reduce and muffle the sound. The new neighbors were unwilling to take any measures on their side to resolve their own complaint, choosing instead to leave nasty phone messages saying it was my “problem” and that I need to “fix it.” Yet I had run out of ideas and consultants, and all attempts at friendship were simply ignored.

I was praying for them all along, but intercession intensified when I was delivered a suit, claiming $200 a day in damages for 9 months, and setting an injunction hearing to silence the fountain. The allegation was that I had violated the bylaws of our Condo Association. Although the Association reassured me that I had not, they did not want to stand with me and use their insurance because the premium would go up. That forced me to hire an attorney to represent me by myself. After reviewing the Association’s insurance, my attorney advised me that the Association was legally obligated to take the case. I could have forced them, but was I going to sue my own neighbors! At the injunction hearing, the new neighbors lied and their attorney threatened our groundskeeper, who got frightened and also lied. Two years earlier this same attorney had represented two strippers who sued the city of San Antonio for the city’s regulation of topless bars. However, miraculously the judge ruled I could operate it until trial.

On the day of the suit the Lord gave me Psalm 37. The opening verses capture the essence of the message:

  • Do not fret because of those who are evil or be envious of those who do wrong;
  • For like the grass they will soon wither, like green plants they will soon die away.
  • Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.
  • Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.
  • Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this:
  • He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn, your vindication like the noonday sun.
  • Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes.
  • Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fret-it leads only to evil.
  • For those who are evil will be destroyed, but those who hope in the Lord will inherit the land.
  • A little while, and the wicked will be no more; though you look for them, they will not be found.
  • But the meek will inherit the land and enjoy peace and prosperity.

Little did I realize how true these prophetic words would be. Through the following months I read and reread the Psalm, finding direction, affirmation for the position of my heart, and reassurance of the outcome against all apparent odds. My neighbors were embittered and seemed to thrive on perpetrating evil schemes and underhanded ways. They knew I would not respond in kind and were so sure of their victory. They were determined to do whatever it took to win their battle.

My battle was loving them and keeping my heart free of fear and hatred. I was harassed continuously with 5 AM phone calls, sirens directed into my courtyard, and vandalism during the night to the fountain and to landscaping. While the condos were in a secured community, there was no way to fully protect ourselves from one another from within. They always operated during the cover of night, and I never knew what I would wake up to find. In one of many journal entries during these months I wrote, “If I struggle loving those who hurt me, it’s because I do not yet have a deep enough revelation of how much I have hurt God and of the mercy, grace, and love He has shown me.” This was a humbling and sobering thought.

Many times, in the early morning or at dusk, I would go out in my courtyard and stand in front of the fountain with my arms extended toward my neighbors just blessing them and declaring God’s words over their lives. Each time I did I saw the lion over the fountain, and the water running from his mouth. How could I not think of the Lion of the Tribe of Judah, and of the One who is the “Fountain of Living Waters?” (Jeremiah 2:13) How would He bring an end to this nightmare?

As the new year began, I drove my myself to a Christian prophetic conference in Denton, Texas called “Starting the Year Off Right.” It was wonderful to be immersed in worship, to be refreshed, and to be strengthened in faith. The day after I returned home to San Antonio, I received a legal notice that my neighbors had dropped their suit. There was never any explanation or acknowledgement from them. In fact, when I would run into them getting our mail, they would not look at me or speak to me. The day after their suit was dropped another condo neighbor, a real estate agent, informed me that my neighbors had listed their condo for sale. Nineteen months after they purchased, they sold their unit for a good financial profit. But they had lost so much more.

The Lord vindicated me as He had promised. Every detail of Psalm 37 had come to pass, just as He said. “A little while, and the wicked will be no more; though you look for them, they will not be found. But the meek will inherit the land and enjoy peace and prosperity” (Ps 37:10-11).

Convergence in Time

A Word for the Body of Christ

Crystal Wade

Beloved, I speak to your spirit, listen as I read the Word of God to you.

Peter replied, Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off-for all whom the Lord our God will call.
Acts 2:38-39

Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that the times of refreshing may come from the Lord, and that he may send the Christ, who has been appointed for you-even Jesus.
Acts 3:19

Awakening Background

Several days after Jesus returned to Heaven, the Holy Spirit filled the disciples and they began speaking other languages. God had so timed this supernatural gift that lots of people from out of town were in Jerusalem to celebrate Pentecost. As the disciples spontaneously burst into speaking numerous other languages, it attracted a crowd, who, at first, laughed them off. However, Peter stood and seized the moment, and explained what had happened. With their attention captured by hearing their native languages in a foreign land, they stayed to hear the explanation. Peter did not hold back, but boldly told them the good news of the coming, sacrificial death, and resurrection of Messiah, and called them to repent. This, they did en masse.

Preparation

The time and events prepared the crowds to receive the message of repentance; the time with Jesus and set apart time prepared the disciples to seize the moment and to speak the right thing at the right time to effect this large conversion. It was an intersection of time, and everyone was ready.

Repentance then Refreshing!

The Lord continued to grow their numbers daily. Shortly thereafter, Peter and John went to the Temple for the daily prayer time, 3 p.m. There, they met a beggar to whom they released healing. Another crowd, both the secular and the sanctified, gathered to ascertain the meaning of the commotion surrounding this former beggar turned Olympic high jumper!

Again, Peter stepped up to the plate to build on the repentance message.
Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that the times of refreshing may come from the Lord, and that he may send the Christ, who has been appointed for you-even Jesus.
Acts 3:19

A Convergence in Time

Beloved, we stand at this intersection in time, again. The Lord has been orchestrating the back story of events, including the economy, the elections, turbulence both natural and manmade, and more, to effect a will to change, which is a large component of repentance, in the people.

In us, Father has created practice runs where we have had to manage on less, where we have had to press in just to stand, where we have had to release faith and still have not seen the mountain budge an inch. He has had us pull out of things, even good things we were involved in. He has had us set aside and growing, though we have not yet seen how this will help!

This has been the parallel preparation in the people at large, and in the people of God.

Blessing to Connect to Heavenly Plans

Beloved, I bless your spirit to connect to the sound of the plans of Father which will infuse you with great joy. As C.S. Lewis wrote in The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe, “Aslan is on the move.” Yes, Beloved, He is!

There is on the horizon the change we have hoped for, looked for, prayed for, and it comes from the hand of Father.

So, Beloved, I bless your spirit to stay steady, knowing it is from God that this intersection in time flows. I bless your spirit to tune into His frequency, which is a peace filled connection and has none of the negativity we hear in the news, and to use this time to strengthen your spirit in His Word and in His Spirit which are timeless and full of help!

I bless your spirit with expectancy because God is aligning things to bring in a great awakening of people to Himself. I bless your spirit with hope because your destiny moment is about to be activated! It is for such a time as this that Father placed you in history, at your age, in your locale.

I bless your spirit with faith and trust in Father when winds rise, whatever those winds are. He will speak to you even audacious things such as, Speak peace to the winds. Some winds will blow, and some we are to tell STOP. I bless your spirit to be activated in Christ so you will know when to do what, when to stop and pray, when to stand and speak.

Blessing of Fast Forward from Repentance to Refreshing

I bless your spirit with understanding that this is the time of convergence, leading to repentance, which means to turn back to the ways of God! I bless your spirit to lead your soul and body into shalom, shalom, perfect peace, flowing from the Prince of Peace, whose beloved son and daughter you are! Then, I bless your spirit to direct your body to stand, as you perceive the time like Peter did, and to proclaim the times to the people, to stand in peace, and to repent.

And then, Beloved, look, as the message of repentance is received and built upon, times of refreshing come! Turning back, starting with us personally, turns the tide from punishment to refreshing! Father always wanted us to turn, He never wanted us to come into dire punishment. That is why He sent the prophets, to call for the turning, that we may live always under the showers of His blessings.

Blessing of Hope for the Unseen

So, Beloved, the greatest days are just ahead. I bless your spirit with joy that they are coming and that Father chose you to be a conduit, with peace that He is in charge and moving us all to convergence, and with hope about what He is about to do that will change everything. I bless your spirit to rest in Him, and hear His words of life and preparation, physical and spiritual. I bless your spirit to know the time He calls you to pray, the times He calls you to speak, and the times He calls you to act. I bless your spirit with strengthened faith and trust in Him. I bless your spirit to bring leadership to your soul and body, and then to all those He gathers to you.

The day of convergence and repentance are at hand. Let’s work to make ourselves ready so we can effect massive change, as did Peter and the disciples.

When the crowds are ready, He wants you to be ready to speak life and good news, then repentance, like Peter did!

I bless your spirit with great hope from knowing God is at the helm of this ship, moving it into new waters, and that repentance proceeds refreshing. This is His will, not destruction on any level. So, encouragement, arise in your spirit, Beloved! You are the chosen of the Lord to live in a convergence which is historic. I bless you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, amen.

Dear Kent ~

I wanted to mention the “Building His Masterpiece” will be hugely life-giving and bring hope to many. We know the negative is being amplified right now and so to receive your exhortation was hopeful.

I have attached a ~ “Convergence in Time Blessing” that Crystal released thru her network on Friday. I was encouraged by what God gave her to release and thought it might encourage others who are not understanding this time we are in.

It should be noted that Crystal attributes much direction in her writing to her personal prophecies from you. May this encourage you.

Thank you for your deposit into the lives of my children. Please feel free to share.

Blessings upon you and your family,

Strength to Glory in Suffering

Jill’s Journal

Jill Thrift
Suffering is a rich topic about which much has been said and written, both in the Bible and without. The wisdom of God’s purposes through suffering is so far higher than our human thoughts that we could spend our entire lives on earth contemplating its glory and never exhaust its infinite layers of beauty, wisdom, and power for the one who knows Christ.

We were born for war, Kingdom warfare – so suffering goes with the battle even though the victory has been won. At the same time, suffering is an instrument of our metamorphosis from the old into the new man, and from the natural into the supernatural person.

Jesus told us to expect tribulation as His followers: “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world” (John 16:33). Looking at the life of Jesus, many would say that He did not overcome, but that He died in indescribable pain — shamed, despised, betrayed, forsaken, and utterly defeated. This is the apparent reality that paralyzed with fear and sorrow the hearts of the men and women who had believed and followed Him – until they saw the Resurrected Christ!

Unbelief blinds the heart from the truth that Jesus was not impotent in suffering. Faith knows that death to self is actually the place of power and victory that brings true life.

Jesus dreaded the experience of becoming sin for us, but He sought and received the spiritual strength and courage to pass through it. He had no impulse to protect Himself from others. When one of Jesus’ disciples cut off the ear of a servant of the high priest who brought Roman soldiers to arrest Him, Jesus said, “Put your sword back in its place, for all who draw the sword will die by the sword. Do you think I cannot call on my Father, and He will at once put at my disposal more than twelve legions of angels?” (Matthew 26:52-53)

Jesus had such intimacy with and confidence in His Father’s love, that He knew angels would be sent to deliver Him if He asked. The same is true for all of those who live in the Presence of God and know Him intimately. Many of us go in and out of this realm of faith, not yet having learned to abide in God. I believe that a time is soon coming in which encounters with God’s love for us will so capture our hearts that we will do whatever is necessary to remain close to Him all the time. In that place of perfect love, there is no fear, because “perfect love casts out fear” (1 John 4:18).

The love of the Father for the Son and of the Son for the Father sealed their agreement before the foundation of the world on a plan to redeem mankind. God’s holiness demands that all His sons be holy as He is holy. God knew that sin would enter the human race. How could the precious ones whom He predestined before the foundation of the world be redeemed and made holy after being corrupted by sin and evil? According to God’s eternal moral law, He had ordained that only by the shedding of sinless blood could the sin of mankind be remitted. Whose blood could possibly be worthy as a sacrifice for sin?

The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit put themselves in unity with a plan. Together, in one accord, God willed to enact the plan knowing that each Person of the Godhead would suffer beyond our comprehension. The wise counsel of the Godhead agreed that the Blood of Christ would be shed to buy back the sons and that the Resurrection of Christ would birth totally new creations. What a plan! But was God not afraid of the pain He would endure?

The Father would watch His only begotten Son live as a human man, suffering and dying, even receiving the fullness of His wrath for sin as Jesus bore the punishment for mankind. The Son would suffer unspeakable pain and torment in His spirit, soul, and body, not only at the hands of man, but also being separated from His Father when He would become sin for us. The Holy Spirit would be grieved and sorrowed to His depths, along with the Father and the Son. The Creator of the Universe, the One who is pure Love and pure Holiness volunteered to suffer and die in our place. He chose to “endure the cross, despising the shame…for the joy set before Him” (Hebrews 12:2).

What if Jesus had chosen to avoid the cross, and to ask the Father to send those ten legions of angels? Do you believe that He had a choice about whether or not to obey Father God? Yes, Jesus did have a choice. He was “tempted in every way, just as we are–yet was without sin” (Hebrews 4:15).His will was free, as the will of every Christian has been made free. When He came to earth through Mary’s womb, He “emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men” (Philippians 2:7). “Even though Jesus was God’s Son, he learned obedience from the things He suffered” (Hebrews 5:8). There is no doubt but that Jesus was like us, wholly dependent on the Father’s power by faith. He learned to trust and obey His Father. His victory was in the faith that He developed through a life of prayer and intimate fellowship with the Father.

Also before the creation of the world, the Godhead agreed on a life plan for each of us. He destined us in love (Ephesians 1:5), created us “in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do” (Ephesians 2:10). We are not to choose the good works that we want to do, but we choose whether or not to do the good works that God has planned for us. Will we go with His plan and stay on the path, or will we take detours or even an about face when we see suffering ahead?

Each time I hit an event of pain and suffering I am want to plead, kick, and protest, as if some strange ordeal were happening to me. I have been gripped with such powerful fear at times during persecution, physical pain, and crisis that trauma has found entry. Where is the peace guarding my heart and mind! In hindsight I see that it’s too difficult to get into the Presence of God during pain and fear if one has not developed the discipline of practicing His Presence all the time. I am learning to do this, but only as a result of years of great need. Fear and anger are still present, but they no longer manipulate my heart and decisions. Psalm 91:1 has become a reality to me: I see that if I dwell in the shelter of the Most High, I am able to abide in the shadow of Almighty God.

For many years He has been teaching and strengthening me in preparation for this season we are now entering of more widespread Christian persecution. Will I respond as Jesus did? “When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly (1 Peter 2:23). He was hidden in the heart of the Father through prayer.

It was just last week when I was asked to lead an hour of intercession for my city that the Lord prompted me to focus on the revelation of His Glory through the city church, “Christ in you, the hope of glory” (Colossians 1:27). As I began to consider this truth, I asked for more scripture and was directed to 1 Peter 4, the entire chapter. My attention was caught by the opening verses, and then by verses 13 and 14:

But rejoice that you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when His glory is revealed. If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you.

This is the mindset that I am asking the Lord to work in me. I have read and agreed with these scriptures all of my Christian life, but I cannot say that I do them. I am able to praise God for Who He is during suffering, but I do not truly rejoice in the sufferings. That capacity is resident in us by the Spirit, so I am now singing to the revelation and joy in me to rise up. I am asking for deeper renewal of my mind in the area of suffering and fear.

The morning following the time of intercession for the city last week, I received a daily scripture by email, from a ministry to which I subscribe. It was the opening verses of 1 Peter 4, from The Message translation:

Since Jesus went through everything you’re going through and more, learn to think like him. Think of your sufferings as a weaning from that old sinful habit of always expecting to get your own way. Then you’ll be able to live out your days free to pursue what God wants instead of being tyrannized by what you want.

Jesus was honest to ask the Father in Gethsemane to let the cup pass from Him, but His hatred of suffering did not deter His resolve to do the Father’s will, and complete the plan (Luke 22:42). He had already made that decision before the suffering was upon Him. Just prior to Gethsemane He prayed:

I have brought You glory on earth by completing the work You gave Me to do. And now, Father, glorify Me in Your presence with the glory I had with You before the world began (John 17:4-5).

Then Jesus prayed for us:

I have given them the glory that You gave Me, that they may be one as We are one: I in them and You in Me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that You sent me and have loved them even as You have loved Me (John 17:22-23).

If we agree with Jesus’ prayer and plan, then with certainty we have the same joy set before us as Jesus. I am still pondering the marvels and facets of this glorious promise.

Will we suffer together as one body during times of trouble? “Ifone member suffers, all the members suffer with it; if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it” (1 Corinthians 12:26). The strength to glory in suffering seems to be rooted in love: the love of the Father for the Son, the Son for the Father, our love for Them, and our love for one another. In the oneness of love there is joy, and the joy of the Lord is our strength.

Lord, thank you that you have given us everything we need to walk with grace and courage through suffering, in fellowship with You. And thank you that as we do, Your glory will be revealed in us.

Olympics and the Golden Rule

Sandy Landry, Author/Teacher

Did you watch the Olympics? Wasn’t it awesome? I have learned something from the Olympics that impressed me as a great life lesson. I have admired the athletes and what they sacrifice, how they train,SandyLandryandSun what character they display. But what I noticed this time was the way many of them dealt with defeat. I admired their ability to accept defeat without becoming defeated and their winning attitudes even when they fail.

Did you happen to see one of the American divers last dive of his career? His first name was Corey. I don’t know his last. He sprang into the air, landed to the left of the board, and the whole dive was ruined. He couldn’t execute the somersaults or spins or whatever it is divers do. He had medaled twice before in previous Olympics, but when the pressure was the greatest, he failed. What impressed me was his lack of frustration with himself and his coach’s praise for what he had accomplished in his career at the second of his failure. There was no condemnation at least in those early moments, and his poise in the midst of failure was amazing. Now if you had trained for four years and it was your last dive, you might think you would want to beat yourself up a bit. Or that your coach would grant himself at least permission to roll his eyes, or shake his head, but they didn’t grant themselves that kind of permission to make the pain any worse than it was.

I couldn’t help but admire that kind of disciplined thinking and compare it to what the Bible tells us to do about disciplining our minds. Remember when Paul said in Philippians that he forgot what was behind and strained towards what was ahead which was the high calling. I watched these athletes that have disciplined their minds to know that while they might fail at a race, a game, or a dive, they are not failures because of one dive. They are the best in the world, even when they fail. Even when it is a dramatic tumble. Not even if was the most important one in four years.

I like that. I like the ability to train your hardest and do your best and then give yourself grace if you fail. I like the far sightedness of athletes who train for something four years in the future, as though it were tomorrow, and who all know that one day their climb for success will be over. And yet at a pinnacle event, their minds are so well trained to stay positive, they rarely allow themselves to wallow in negativity. Michael Phelps lost, and then came back to win, and win, and win, even though the announcers washed him up after his first defeat. There are times when a diver has two chances and he busts on the first one, and then he comes back to do it perfectly the second time. But we have all seen gymnasts or ice skaters or someone in some event, that once they fall, they can’t get it back. They continue to make mistakes, and once they allow the “Oh no, I have messed up” thoughts to come they go on to perform way below their abilities. Like once they start going down, they can’t stop. So what is the difference? I believe it is practiced ability of renewing of the mind. Paul had it right: forgetting what is before and focusing on what is ahead. That takes practice and practice and practice. It is pretty awesome to watch for the ones who do it the quickest go on to be champions.

And so it is for us. There is no condemnation for those are in Christ Jesus. Our great coach knows we are champions and that if we bust, we can instantly find grace to forget what is behind and press on, looking to what is ahead, the high calling of champions who over come: winners on this earth and winners forever more.

LIVE in REALITY

Accept What Is

Sandy Landry, Author/Teacher

What does that mean? Is it a cryptic Chinese proverb? New age psychobabble? Actually, I picked it up from an Oprah life class. Now, don’t laugh. There is truth in it.

What does it mean to live in reality and how do I do that and live in faith? Well, I can tell you from personal experience that I have lived in denial before and called it faith. I wanted reality to go away so badly, that I thought if I didn’t think about it, it would. I think living in reality is like the saying accept what can’t be changed and change what you can and know the difference between them. Some things have happened and we can’t change them. The pain comes when we can’t tell the difference, or we won’t let go of the one that can’t be changed and we won’t change the one that can.

Recently I talked with a young woman who didn’t want to forgive her father because he had never wanted her. She had been shortchanged. The reality is that she had been shortchanged and he really hadn’t wanted her. He had added some to her life, not a lot, and she was angry about it. I think she felt if she let him off the hook by forgiving him, she would be saying that hurting her was okay. She seemed to finally be able to let him go when I helped her see that although she had not gotten the Dad she wanted, we could never change that. She had married a man who was a wonderful Dad to her children and she had a good life. She was holding on to an expectation of her Dad that he had not measured up to. He was less than she had deserved; however, when she accepted that reality, she let him go. When she recognized that by holding him in prison, she was in one, and that sooner or later she would have to acknowledge that reality is reality. He was who he was and the past was the past. She couldn’t change the past, but she could accept it and move forward. Trying to change the part that couldn’t be changed was hurting her.

When a parent loses a child tragically, it is a long journey to healing and it is usually accomplished by accepting a new reality. Often it is thankfulness for whatever time the child was on earth and letting go of the expectations that all of us have that our children will outlive us as parents. Most of our suffering does come from wanting what we don’t have, wishing for what we’ve lost, believing we could have done something differently or they could have, and we wouldn’t be suffering. But the truth is that is where all the suffering lies. Accepting the reality, as hard as it might be to accept, sets us free. Peace comes when we accept the new reality. This happened. It was hard. I accept grace to deal with it. I even give myself grace if I caused it to happen in some way. Forgiveness and grace are all about accepting the reality first. We suffer when we won’t accept it and we want it altered. Forgiveness and grace say it is what it is, but I am using forgiveness to let it go and grace to endure it. They are free gifts, but they are supernatural, empowered to create a new reality. Amazing.

Jesus walked in reality. By that I mean that he said he knew exactly what was in man’s heart. He knew all about our motives and our ways, and he didn’t put expectations on us to measure up to the new and better laws He was handing down to us. He came to give us grace and to tell us God loved us. Wow. Think about it. That is quite something. Go find the hurting, broken, messed up masses and give them a message from God. That is what is so compelling about his message. He asked us to love one another as He loved us, which I guess when you get down to it is even when we see each other’s weaknesses, because He loved us first when we were at our most broken and most defiled.

He went to the cross, knowing the pain. He remained intimate with men who were set on denying and betraying him. He set his heart to endure the cross while his closest men fought over who would be first in the new kingdom. I would say He was pretty good at dealing with reality. But then he knew that dying was going to give us the power we would need to really change down deep. Peter was going to come out on the other side a fiery evangelist instead of a flake, and that is also reality. So, I guess we stand beneath two realities as people of faith: the reality is that Joe is who Joe is and I can find grace to love him broken, and the reality is also that Joe is not yet all that Joe might be and I can pray for him. We have a present reality and a hope for a new reality. Believing anything in between those two places will cause us to suffer for we will expect Joe to be somebody he isn’t, and Joe will disappoint us and make us sad. The more we expect Joe to straighten up, the worse he seems to get. We talk with Joe, and that hurts his feeling. Now Joe is sad because he hasn’t met up to our expectations and he is tripping over himself trying to change his ways. We are obsessed with Joe and now we judge poor old Joe to be willfully out to annoy us. If only Joe would straighten up, we could be happy. What is wrong with selfish old Joe? Doesn’t he see how he annoys us? Why doesn’t he change? Aren’t you tired all ready? Let’s give Joe grace. And while we are at it, Sue and Rachel too. And then I am going right up to the throne and get some for myself.

Hearing God for a Name Brand Preacher

Dr. Lester Sumrall
Feb. 15, 1913 – Apr. 28, 1996

In 1995, we opened up the airwaves for prophecy to be broadcast from radio and television across the Islands of Hawaii. LeSea Broadcasting made it possible for us to touch many lives and introduce many people for the first time to New Testament prophecy. Apostle Paul Roberts had introduced us to Reverend Gary Holcombe, who was later placed as a staff member at LeSea Broadcasting and opened the door for us to prophesy live over television.

After returning from our first three week and three day ministry trip to the Islands of Hawaii we began to receive calls and letters from Norway, Denmark, Sweden, England, Thailand and a number of states within the U.S.A. For the next two and a half years I spent three weeks or more out of each month traveling overseas, ministering in prophecy and teaching on the prophetic gifts.

On one of my trips to Jerusalem, which I earlier mentioned in one of our e-Newsletters, I prophesied from various holy sites in the Holy Land. I had carried with me over 300 blank audio cassette tapes and VHS tapes with the names on each one who had requested to receive His Word from the Holy Land. It was not too long after returning from this trip that I received a message that Dr. Lester Sumrall wanted to meet with me.

I made arrangements to meet with Dr. Sumrall when I returned home. As I waited for him to come out of his DC-10, the senior pilot came to me and informed me that Dr. Sumrall had been taking a nap and would be out in just a few minutes. The pilot also shared with me his own negative thoughts about personal prophesy and was not too kind with his words. As he continued to spew his disbelieves he turned to find Dr. Sumrall standing right behind him. The pilot quickly stopped talking and stormed away. Dr. Sumrall settled into my vehicle and we drove to a local restaurant to have lunch and discuss his problem.

The decision needed to be made right away whether to allow the minister to keep broadcasting his program on the network or to pull the plug and break ties with the minister. Dr. Sumrall told me he could not find his answer, because he was just too close to the minister. He said God told him to find me and he would find his answer. So he asked me to tell him what God wanted to do. Immediately, I felt totally helpless and inadequate in seeking God for a man of such faith and power, but, suddenly, I felt the weight of this problem come upon my shoulders, knowing that whatever came out of my mouth could possibly damage Dr. Sumrall’s ministry or totally destroy the ministry in question. In just a few seconds our Lord said to me, “Whatever you say I will do.” Somewhat relieved I gave a real lame word, “God will give you a sign before you land in New Orleans.”

The next morning Dr. Sumrall and the crew loaded up the plane and took off for New Orleans. To my surprise I received a phone call from Houston, Texas. It was the pilot who had earlier shared with me a piece of his mind regarding personal prophecy. Painfully, he said, “Doctor Sumrall wanted me to call and let you know that he had received his sign.” I questioned him about the sign; he explained as they called into the tower on their approached to land they were informed of a tropical storm bearing down on the gulf coast so they made a quick detour to Houston. The decision was made not to land and Dr. Sumrall took this to be his sign to stay away from the minister in question. Within just a few days the minister’s daily television program was replaced by another ministry.

For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. ~ Rev. 19:10b

Prophecy is the testimony that Jesus is not dead but Alive and Speaking to you and I.

Dear Prophet Kent,

Your article today in the newsletter hit the ball out of the park.

It was very transparent and real, and powerful.

It was very clear and understandable, and made the distinction well between a desire of the heart, and want of the heart.
Thank you.

We are looking forward with you, as the vision the Lord gave you unfolds. Like a newsroom it sounds, but different.

Prophetic and worshipper intercessors CHANGE history, not just report the news.
Shabbat Shalom!

Blessings
