During the month of January 2012 our Lord instructed me to begin commissioning various people into the ministry. Now, this is not the same thing as imparting spiritual gifts according to (1 Timothy 4:14) which reads, “Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy with the laying on of the hands of the Eldership.” However, the spiritual gifts do work hand-in-hand with this purpose, for the gift will establish them according to (Romans 1:11). “For I long to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift, so that you may be established.”<\/p>\n

Therefore, as I began to follow our Lord’s instruction He sent various people my way who were called into the ministry. I would sit with them in my study with a microphone and recorder, and I would begin speaking His words into their life. The amazing thing about commissioning is that His words not only describe what their ministry is about and what they will accomplish, but it also supernaturally opens up a portal from heaven. This portal allows the ministering spirits from heaven to ascend and descend upon them delivering their prayers to the throne and returning with God’s message and power to do whatever He so desires according to (Hebrews 1:14) which poses this question, “Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister FOR those who will inherit salvation?”<\/p>\n

What has God called you to do?<\/h2>\n

Many people have some idea of what their ministry is about. They are drawn to ministries that inhabit a kindred spirit operating in the same type of ministry that they yearn to flow in, but they cannot seem to get started for lack of direction. However, when a person is called, commissioned and equipped with at least one spiritual gift they cannot fail. The security of being called, commissioned and equipped is like a three strand cord, very difficult to break. The Bible states in (Ecclesiastes 4:12), “Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him. And a threefold cord is not quickly broken.”<\/p>\n

All are called but few chosen<\/h2>\n

I now know the reason why these wandering souls feel left out. They have not been recognized in the body of Christ as one who is called of God. They lack direction because they have not been commissioned and feel powerless because they have not perfected their spiritual gift. Being commissioned is like giving sight to the blind; once you have been commissioned you “know in your knower” where the Lord is taking you, assured your spiritual gift will always be there to back you up in all you proclaim in the mighty name of our Lord, Jesus Christ. “For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable” (Romans 11:29).<\/p>\n

PMT Mission Statement<\/h2>\n

We are building the Prophetic Tabernacle of God one living stone after another. Hundreds of new prophetic minister are being raised up as the Holy Spirit skillfully directs the leadership of PMT where each chosen vessel fits in the Master’s plan. The Holy Spirit has chosen a people who have been kicked to the curb by the very people they tried to serve. By the anointing and resurrection power of Jesus Christ, the Rock of our salvation, we are raising up Prophets for the next generation. There are thousands of prophetic people of God being sent our way who are now finding their place in His Kingdom.<\/p>\n

The Holy Spirit is empowering this army of believers to march in the fullness of their calling; receiving the impartation of their spiritual gifts through prophecy and the laying on of hands. Commissioned and equipped these conveyors of The Vision of the Tabernacle are being sent as messengers of His divine plan for building a world-wide Prophetic Church; one living stone after another.<\/p>\n

The Chosen Stone and His Chosen People<\/h2>\n

“Coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious, you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. Therefore it is also contained in the Scripture, “Behold, I lay in Zion A chief cornerstone, elect, precious, And he who believes on Him will by no means be put to shame” (1 Peter 2:4-6 NKJV)<\/p>\n

What being commissioned did for me!<\/h2>\n

I, Judith Oldridge, was commissioned by Prophet Kent Simpson on May 24, 2014 now holding the position as one of PMT’s Prophetic Elders.<\/p>\n

I asked the Lord, so what does this mean? And he replied with this: more will be accomplished in less time, with less effort. I have more for you to do, but it will be more Me and less you. John the Baptist said he must decrease, and I must increase.<\/p>\n

John 3:30 states, “He must become greater; I must become less.” I did not see this verse about less until after God spoke to me about it. Isn’t that wonderful? That explains so much about Him–and what He wants to do.<\/p>\n

So this means the Lord will carry more and I will trust Him to do so. He will do the work, and I will just obey when He tells me to do something, trusting that He is in charge of it all. I will remember what John 3:27 says, “A man can receive only what is given him from heaven.”<\/p>\n

The scripture goes on to detail how John’s joy was made complete: he allowed Christ to become greater, and he became less. This is good news! Greater joy comes as Christ becomes greater (and does more of the work in my life and ministry), and I become less by obeying Him each day. That is how I can rest!<\/p>\n

It is starting to make sense. I always thought it just meant that we have to humble ourselves, and that was the way Christ became greater. But this seems to indicate that Christ is the One who decides what He wants to do, and gives us instructions on what our part is (obedience). He has a plan that includes us, and He wants to do more in and through us. We can simply watch His plan unfold.<\/p>\n

I believe this is what the Commissioning is about. Jesus sees the timing of when He wants to lead us into more of Him and less of our own efforts. His Holy Spirit is willingly doing more to impact people, so we can relax in His continual Presence.<\/p>\n

It really involves entering deeper into His Rest, but accomplishing more for His glory. He wants to do the work by His Holy Spirit. If we will obey as He directs then He gets the glory. It is His work, not mine! We seem to think we have to do it all ourselves–to get the message of His love out to the world–but that is just not true. John the Baptist was sent ahead of Christ, to let the people know He was coming. John was a friend of the bridegroom (Jesus), and he attended him by waiting and listening for him.<\/p>\n

I want to wait and listen for His instruction, while enjoying His Presence more than ever before. Christ in me, the hope of glory. He must increase, I must decrease. More impact in the world, with less stress. Now that’s what I’m longing for!<\/p>\n
