A number of years ago, a friend of mine said to me, “Why don’t you tell people what it really is like to be a prophet of God?” Well, the reason I did not do so at that time was that I did not want to discourage anyone from their calling. However, looking back, I know now that if you are called to be a prophet of God, you’re going to be a prophet of God one way or the other. It’s not a choice you can make whether this is what you want to do or not. In fact, after you have walked in the office for a period of time, you realize that your whole life has been prescribed with its bumps and bruises purposed for shaping and molding you for this position.<\/p>\n

Most people see you operating in a few of the spiritual gifts, and they think that this is the way you are 24\/7. Not so! In fact, a big part of the time, you are battling all kinds of demonic attacks that are trying to break you down and make you give up the faith that you are holding for all the words you have given in the name of Jesus.<\/p>\n

Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith<\/em><\/p>\n
