Author & Teacher

Jeremiah’s Prophetic Pit

by Sandy Landry

Remember when Jeremiah was thrown into the pit because no one liked what he was prophesying? I heard someone say one time that pit means, “prophet in training.” It seems to be a reoccurring theme. One of the “pits” is the pit of condemnation, which is a major “pit” of vulnerability for the prophet. The prophet is born wanting to “get it right.” In fact, he or she is always concerned about “right” and “wrong,” and nothing is worse than on a prophet who is trying to get it “right,” feeling as though he has gotten it “wrong.” One of the worse pitfalls is feeling that what he is saying is “right,” but being rejected because of it. Because he is more concerned with principle than winning friends, he will usually stand by his “word,” but in the process, whatever is in him of people pleasing and the need to be affirmed will be challenged mightily. If the people don’t throw him in a “pit” like Jeremiah because they are angry, he may jump in one himself like Elijah hiding in the cave he is feeling so dejected and alone. Either way, it is “pit”iful for the prophet.

Comments and Testimonies

Pastor Kent,

The words given through you continue to amaze me. You have ministered to me in word for over 5 years now. The Lord never fails to address the true questions and issues in my heart, whether or not my flesh understands right away. You are one that I never have to question or wonder if you are truly seeing or hearing clearly. There are a few others that I trust in to minister to me and they are also accurate, however, the Lord uses you to zero in on the bull’s eye of my heart’s query to Him. Forgive me for not offering more testimony as witness. Tears flow freely as the Lord ministers through you.

I am so thankful, Brother Kent, for the office you hold and the anointing over your life.

God’s best for you always and all that you touch in His name,

Dear Prophet Kent,

Shalom!

(I hope this note is going to the right place!)

In the past few months, we’ve noticed that your e-newsletter has changed.

It is very life-giving, and thank you.

The stories you have shared from your growing up, and adventures in faith, really do give a glimpse into “the process of hearing God’s voice” which is so beneficial.

So many people see the “product,” but you are helping people to see the “process.”

Last week’s word on God’s favorite game was very insightful, and practical. I also appreciate how you have added Sister Ty and Sandy to the newsletter.

This step was a sign to me of the new place God has you. You are a fathering prophet. Making a place for others, expanding the ministry, and the light really shines from you as you’re training, equipping, and releasing others, and/or in process of mentoring them.

Thank you so much for all you do, Prophet Kent and Debbie.

With blessings and appreciation,

I Want to Be Your Prophetic Pastor

In the past I spent much of my time traveling to other countries, but ministering in distant places left me drained. I have decided to hang up my traveling shoes and focus upon those families who regularly support this ministry. It is time for me to develop a long term relationships with the people who have a real desire to learn more about what God is doing today.

From 1989 to 1995 I ministered to over 250,000 people via prophecy tapes. I receive hundreds of prophecy requests each month and I will continue to send out personal prophecy tapes and CD’s and Audio Emails to those who are seeking God.

In addition to the prophetic gift God has entrusted to me, the Lord has also directed me to become a Prophetic Pastor to those who will receive me. In this new capacity I can sow prophetic seeds into the lives of those who want to prosper with me. If you will allow me to be your Prophetic Pastor, I will commit to be there for you, and help you prosper in spiritual and financial health and wealth.

He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward. And he who receives a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward. Matthew 10:41

Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.

In recent years, it has become almost impossible to reach me; my home telephone rings day and night. For this reason I have started the Family Partners who will have a direct line to my private phone. My private phone number allows Family Partners to reach me during times of trouble or when they are having difficulty finding God’s will or when making tough decisions. When you call me, I will seek God’s direction for you and help determine how God wants to meet your immediate needs.
